- I can't believe that Bernard Hill has passed away...
This video is a tribute to his best character played for me.
King Theoden.
Where now the horse and the rider? Where is the horn that was blowing?
Where is the helm and the hauberk, and the bright hair flowing?
Where is the hand on the harpstring, and the red fire glowing?
Where is the spring and the harvest and the tall corn growing?
They have passed like rain on the mountain, like a wind in the meadow;
The days have gone down in the West behind the hills into shadow.

Those words are so poignant and powerful
They could not ever found a better person for the face of Theoden, King. His portrayal embodied what Theoden was in the books.

The Charge of Theoden, as written in the LoTR is so epic. Hill did an incredible job of bringing the character to the big screen.

I'm assuming you're referring to the Ride of the Rohirrim, but the Battle of Helm's Deep and also the Lighting of the Beacons are 2 other absolutely legendary scenes imo

He might be gone, but he's immortalized forever in these movies just like every one human and animals that were in it. Rest in Peace, Bernhard
