i got the 3ds xl for 45 euro 2 months ago, its the best option no matter what you say, there are mods to fix the resolution thing of DS games. it is more powerful and you get to play all the library of games made for the 3ds + modding the console takes literally 10 mins

3DS can actually play DSi games too. But I like both

Short end of it: DSi XL for DS games, and New 3DS XL for 3DS games.
3DS could actually play Dsi games too. And it has a 3D feature. I think 3ds takes the cake. But the dsi has its own charm too

Just bought a 3ds xl for about 200 and a new 3ds xl for about 260 so yeah
