Can the Qube fit other 500 modules? Like say a Shadow Hills Gama pre...
@@JCalibre We can not guarantee that these fits because of the dimensions of third party modules. The dimensions are not really standardized.
@@elysia-audio thx 4 replying. Are you saying 500 series modules don't follow a standard, size-wise or audio-pin wise?
In other words, do the xlr connections on the back of the qube work like every other standard 500 series rack ?

Lovely! The PA plugin version is great too, although it's fixed stereo. I love the way it brings out a dancing feeling between the main hits. If you chain nvelope into Boz Transgressor 2 on drums with a bit of ride, the combination makes things feel immense because you get the creamy dynamics of the first processor and then the surgical focus of the second.

theres already a native version from plugin alliance.
The UAD versions of the Elysia plugins are identically to the native versions. They are all modelled by Brainworx and very light on the Cpu. So don't waste your precious UAD-DSP power. Edit: They are also cheaper most of the time and PA has sales every month.

I know this is about a year old, but just now putting together a couple of 500 series chassis; one a Rupert Neve R6 loaded with 4 SPL 1502 units - 1 for snare coming in from a Behringer Ultra Gain mic pre; 1 for my kick in coming into it from a Camden 500 mic pre and and an assortment of toms being summed off another mixer going into the last two; one space open from which I pulled my Rupert Neve Portico 517 and have since placed it into a newly-acquired Aphex 500 USB chassis which I had to have just because I wanted more clarity of signal coming in from the 517 when recording vocals and bass and guitar; I have a Portico 511 on the way because of my love for the 617 which will also live in the Aphex chassis - and now here comes my question: there will be two spaces left of the Aphex in which I’d like to house a 2-bus module of some sort. Of having rather modest financial means, I have to choose what I want to purchase carefully. There are several units I’ve been debating heavily over on which will get the last two spaces in this USB chassis; one being the Elysia nvelope 500 for it’s shaping ability, another top consideration and at the top of my budget is the WesAudio Dione for bus compression and the ability to recall all of it’s parameters via USB; and finally the IGS Audio S-Type 500 VU for just a kicking op amp compressor with side chain filtering. Like I said, I am budgeted but willing to purchase a quality item at a reasonable price. Would you or one of the other many wonderful subscribers to your channel choose one of these over the others - or possibly another like-priced unit - to get the maximum bang for the buck and absolute best sound in this class on a 2-bus? Would highly appreciate the input. Thanks everybody
I love the nvelope, has been in my lunch box for some years. I use it a lot as mixbuss EQ and for kick and snare,

Alexander Common marvellous! There’s definitely no one size fits all answer to that! Each mix would require a different solution
I’ve never liked the mixed down method myself but this is something I would definitely use as a production mix bus to create into… nearer the end to fine tune the depth of movement… drival lol definitely possibly for sampling… sampling should be stepping up also. Wouldn’t the cube but definitely the 1u near at hand… a dream… writing a dream… just do, it’s maybe more interesting than saying whatever… so I won’t worry myself with feeling bad for a long drawn out …. … … …. Comment

For instance I use and have demoed Kali monitors which start at $300 for a pair! We have a number of Members in our Academy who are visually impaired and it’s extremely important for us to be a place for everyone to share their love of music and music production!
There is musical talent and real emotion as well that can not be bought.
