Love the Vitruvian.. the hardware is perfect and durable - easy to fix / replace if needed and the most versatile in form factor. Software needs work, but it’s constantly getting updates and getting better (now has audio feedback).
I second John’s opinion on the peloton guide. I find it to be a very functional tool, that perfectly suits the bike and the rower. Yes, it has its limitations but overall it’s a solid piece of equipment that offers a different experience for strength-based workouts.
Was waiting for Pelotons iteration of the Vitruvian to see what they offered and the pricepoint. Honestly, the Vitruvian looks like the machine to beat as it doesn't require wall mounting and has ton of neat features while taking into account space. With this news, might be time to consider the Vitruvian Trainer+. Thoughts on this vs something like a Gymera or Speediance platform?
I've been testing Vitruvian+ for about a week now... probably a few more weeks before I can put together a review, but it's very solid. Especially the actual equipment (the app could use a little work)
@@ConnectTheWatts in your vitruvian review, please, please, please discuss functionality without the subscription. I have zero interest in a subscription but want a digital weight system.
Curious what you think of Vitruvian given the difficulty in its industry right now. It is a relatively small company and most people and there is very little discussion about it online. Since it is a private company we have no idea about its financial status as compared to Peloton. I've been looking into the Vitruvian but don't want to be left with an expensive paper weight if they happen to go under.
From what I understand, Vitruvian is in a pretty decent position financially (didn't overextend during pandemic as much as others). So I feel comfortable suggesting them over companies like Tonal right how (also the smart capabilities on Vitruvian continue to work without a membership unlike Tonal which shuts almost everything down)
@@kingoftendieThey do not. The machine doesn't work without WiFi. You can't even log into your id on the machine without it. But otherwise I like my machine quite a bit.
The basic design looked good, but aside from Peloton’s financial issues, I would’ve had concerns with their risk threshold being such a large company. Namely, I would have a hard time seeing them enabling their machine to have comparable resistance capability to Virtruvian, though the design would’ve allowed for it. Look at how negatively that sex in the City episode effected their stock (though no fault of their own). Imagine when a user inevitably uses it improperly with a few hundred pounds of resistance available. I don’t think they could take that risk given their large profile.
I have watched your reviews. Been watching your channel for some time. I just didn’t know if you have looked into the “specs” of the gymera. Thanks for all your input. Helps out tremendously!
That's too bad. I would have loved to get a Strength device in the same ecosystem.

Did Vitruvian ever get that overhead attachment made? I admtit that's what I am waiting for.

What’s your thought between Speediance and the Gymera?
I have a review of Speediance here th-cam.com/video/7iScJKMFJ5A/w-d-xo.html but have not tried Gymera

Strongly disagree on the Peloton Guide. I love it. Good compliment to the Bike. Great for Strength & Yoga classes. And now for $200? Easy “yes”.
I didn't like the concepts I saw of it. Not surprised they pulled back.
brilliant vitruvian still rules
Oh no.
