my brother Joshua was married to his wife Erica in October 08. my entire family came from all over the country. it was by far the best wedding i've ever attended. JPUSA, is a wonderful miracle and this video bring back great memories. thank you for sharing.
loved watching this....the best memories of living/loving/singin'/dancing/serving/learning/teaching/weeping/laughing/resting/working/celebrating here for close to 30 years, STILL bring me joy!
Notice that none of the still photos show the mice I saw running around, the trash piled up outside in the dumpster, or any of the other disreputable things that I saw when I lived there in 1990. Maybe they cleaned those things up by that time? Who knows? By then, I'd already been kicked out because I had the audacity to tell Glenn Kaiser that I thought that pastors and other Christian leaders were not exempt from criticism. (My previous pastor in Missouri had been a "prosperity gospel" heretic.) I loved the music of Resurrection Band and the blues of Glenn Kaiser. I liked some of the articles in Cornerstone magazine. But I later concluded that JPUSA fell into the category of "people who are best admired from afar."
lol I didn't see the mice, but the cockroaches were very present guests on every floor. I had never seen a cockroach in person but turning on the lights to the kitchenette on my floor gave me quite the startle! My roommate was unphased by the news, and asked "Were they the big ones or the little ones?" :P
@@kruszer Thank you, for this video. I was at JPUSA 1989-1992. You stayed at Chelsea which JPUSA acquired and moved into while I was there, but Mark would have been there before they had moved to Chelsea. I believe it was Lelend that the single brothers stayed at then.
@@MissJaneShadow Thanks for bringing this documentary to my attention! I'm an ex-Christian today and I'm fully aware that a lot of horrible abuses hide behind the façade of a lot of the well-intentioned religious communities in existence. Where humans go, bad things follow. Christianity is definitely no exception!
Great work Christina reminds me of my visit in 1991 when I did a documentary there.

Me, too. Those 8 years were some of the best years of my life.

Or best avoided altogether.

Perhaps you could be kicked out or punished if you reported child sex abuse: th-cam.com/video/CgK-m_LRp9Q/w-d-xo.html

A ton of child sex abuse has been known about yet covered up and allowed within JPUSA: th-cam.com/video/CgK-m_LRp9Q/w-d-xo.html
