Respect for his father who gave her good education despite less resources. She should not cry rather proud of herself. Many people go through this kind of situation

I am only half way through this episode right now and my heart is full. This. THIS is what we mean when we talk about female empowerment, when women ask for equal education and other opportunities. Sabreen, to me, even as a vegetable seller, your father was way richer than the majority of men in our society because of the broad horizon of his thought process and his ability to still give you wings. God bless your whole family

I can relate it to myself,my father was a resident dr when i was in class 3 to 8,my father didnt had enough money to pay fees on time, buy syllabus on time or buy artwork accessories,as a result bearing punishment in sunlight, teacher used to beat with ruler for not bringing art stationary.Relatives used to laugh on our situation, used to call my father that u r hand to mouth, degraded him many times, that affected me psychologically n made my childhood traumatic.Alhamdullilah we came out frm struggles,we 3 siblings are doctors, one is lawyer, our husbands are doctors and living a good lifestyle. But still those childhood memories still haunt me n i didnt never wanted my kids to be in the same situation n this episode literally made me cry.

I said he is a truck driver and then she started to bash me and satrted to say then "wo to cigrette pitay hn gay and tea pitay hn gay, sara paisa udar ura datay hn gay" I feel so ashamed and emotional I cant explain in words. I’m in shock! Couldn’t even get through the whole thing without commenting here! What school is this? And what creatures are these teachers??? I wonder why we have such polarised systems where on one hand this is happening and on the other, students and parents are insulting the most dedicated teachers and treating them like slaves!
This girl is SO strong, Masha Allah!!!!

Thank you so much sharing your story, Sabreen. Thank you so much Kanwal, for interviewing her. This is such a heartwarming life story 🙂 It reminded me of my own parents, who invested so much in our education. My father worked as a bicycle mechanic but wanted to get the best education for his children, so he got us in really good school. Just like Sabreen's father, he encouraged us to study whatever we wanted to and he didn't discriminate between sons and daughters at all. On the contrary, he consciously empowered daughters. All three of us sisters did great in studies and our careers and lifted up the rest of family. Our quality of life improved tremendously and people who meet us now cannot believe where we started. I'm grateful for my parents' devotion and faith in us. Sabreen's parents and my parents had limited financial resources but they didn't have a poverty mindset. They invested their money in the right things, and are now they enjoying the fruits of their labour.

What a beautiful story Mashallah! Kudos to Sabreen and her amazing parents. This is such a poignant example of how sacrifices and dreams can change the trajectory of an entire family. I can’t even begin to imagine what it must’ve been for her parents. May you all have happiness everlasting. I can’t help but wonder how she’s achieved so much and yet is still scarred by those hurtful moments. May we never be the cause of hurt and grief to anyone. May she heal from all that hurt with all the happiness in her life. Ameen

This was literally my whole childhood being humiliated in front of the whole class during exams for not having tution and my fee was never deposited like hers. One time I remember my fee was not deposited so the school basically punished me and my sister by stripping us of our sweaters during winter and have us stand in the courtyard in the shade and not sun light so we will really feel the cold for the entire day. Passing teachers would ensure we are not leaning against the wall. So basically we were tortured and humiliated for hours. I never cried over it but now that I think it was cruel thing they did to kids I think I was like 6 or 7.

They started as I felt so sad what Sabreen and her family went through and as she shared her success, they turned into tears of joy. What an inspirational story of an exceptional family MashaAllah. Stories like these deserve a full recognition by turning them into a drama or a movie.
I hope the school and its management were watching this & change the way they operate. The emotional damage this can cause was very obvious.

Once again Kanwal you are doing such an amazing job . So so proud of you ❤
Such painful and harsh reality about our education system and how our teachers from well known schools used to act as if kids are just products and not humans. As a nation, we all lack empathy. Allah karay hamaray bachay baray honay tak things change. Bravo to the whole team 👏🏻👏🏻

Amazing life story. Thank you Sabreen for sharing. I wish the younger generation of today could benefit from it. I've often felt kids today are too entitled because they have everything given to them. Everyone should know the value of earning something for themselves. And recognize the sacrifices parents sometimes have to make so their kids don't have to. Hats off to your father.

I can relate as my family went through some very difficult time.
One teacher made fun of my father's salary. Several girls in my college made fun of my limited dresses. Lots of painful humiliating stuff I can remember right now.
In my opinion, making fun of someone's poverty is extremely low level act. Never ever made fun of someone's condition, show some empathy.

I've never shared this with anyone but this young lady's story hit so close to home. I went to one of the best all girls schools in Pakistan and still distinctly remember the embarrassment I would feel when the admin assistant would come in and distribute late fees slips in class during lessons. Didn't quite know how much it had affected me, so much suppressed trauma... I left Pakistan many years ago but I hope that school has changed and all others are doing better by their students.

I can understand what she might have gone through. When I was the head of a reputed school, I was also asked to do the same with students to which I refused. Instead, I used to call parents without knowing my HO.
In return, I was issued a warning letter. Later, I resigned soon after the completion of session. Then my whole staff resigned and parents withdrew the admission. I am proud of myself, my team and the parents who stood with me and against the system.

This story is so inspiring ♡♡ And I'm glad this format is back. The cooking format was personally distracting and took away from the message of the episode.

every girl deserve a support system like this, mental peace to achieve her goals.. it's already difficult to survive in male dominated society. at least families understand this n should provide ways to her daughters, I WISH..

Indeed a beautiful episode. I can feel 100% that embracement when named is called out in between class because of fees it hurts a lot. Because i face it many times. Agree children shouldn't be punished for fees unko to pata bhi nahi chalna chahye..

Our school also used to have that system,it was a convent school so principal used to change every 3to5 yrs or it may differ and when our new sister came I was in 8 and she changed the system before her the principal used to issue admit card and if you don't pay the fees you will not get it .I have seen some of my friends rushing to the principal office to get a note in written so that they can appear the exam.I also belong to lower middle class family but somehow my parents to pay the fees on time and it was all thanks to my mother and especially my maternal grandparents and uncle they were really supportive when our financial condition was not stable it was only for them and there was also not doing very at that time financialy but also they provided my school fees

Wonderful story , thanks a lot Kanwal for making this wonderful show happen. Much needed show given misogynistic society where women are demotivated for being hard worker or being open to the opportunities.
