    I love this! I've never been more in awe in God than when I was studying anatomy. The eyes...the kidneys...wow! God is an amazing genius!! So magnificent! :) I love that there are others out there that feel the same.

    Great start for your series, Dr. Behe. By the time I graduated with a microbiology degree, I had been a Christian for a few months, but like you, I remember having conversations and arguments about origins with friends and classmates. My friendly but atheist professor for Bacterial Physiology and Cytology decided to ask a single question for our blue book final exam, "How did the first cell wall arise?" I suspect he had tailor-made the question for me because the 10 other students gave me the evil eye (lol). Even though I had organic chemistry, biochemistry and clinical biochemistry under my belt, it never occurred to me that I had been gamed about the origination of the first protein, DNA, or RNA. Hydrolysis of peptide bonds would immediately abort polymerization, not to mention the vast array of cross-reactions of reactive groups, etc.
    Proteins would never form by unguided processes from a solution of amino acids in "some warm little pond" that Darwin envisioned. My chemistry professors explain how polymerization would produce these macromolecules, but they never explained the difficulties, except when we were asked to devise a plan for the elegant synthesis of cholesterol, TNT, THC, LSD and other interesting molecules.
    No one ever pointed out the problem of getting amino acids to polymerize in water to form a protein, or nucleotides to make DNA. We all assumed that it must have happened somehow. Even becoming a Christian didn't remove that assumption from me. It took a while to understand I had to question the evolutionary dogmas about such things. Life science students aren't there to question these things. We were there to learn how to do chemistry and understand how that related to biology, to get a good job, and in my case, to do research or work as a clinical lab scientist.

      I can understand what your talking about.
      I think the case is basically,
      Science started to grow in an era where people started to have radical ideas regarding religion due to the exploitation of the church for several century, so atheism at that time was a result of an emotional background causing the people to try to accept any alternative rather than submitting to religious norms. Thus they would accept any idea no matter how silly it sounds and they would put their hardest effort so they can convince themselves. Then other normal people such as those who you are talking about suppose that they are following science, however, they are following people who use biased scientific deductions to find alternatives

      There are only two options. Either the countless coincidences or the intelligent force behind everything! Who would now say that maybe beings from another planet created us - I would reply: And who made them?
      But for me that's nonsense - we should look for the singularity - but we don't need to search anymore, because the Creator has had a book written for us in which we can find all the answers!

    Life is made up of *complex, hierarchical, interdependent* systems. Does *anyone* disagree with that? Yet errors (mutations) don't accumulate to form complex, hierarchical, interdependent systems. Life was clearly designed.

    This is such an exciting topic, and it is absolutely an exciting time in the history of human discovery! I was watching a Ted Talk where the speaker mentioned the fact that we have in the tip of our finger more machines than all of the machines that have ever been created by human beings! Pretty amazing to think about, but I guess that makes sense when considering that each cell is as complex as a New York City, and our bodies are made of 34 trillion cells.
    We're incredibly put together, and I'm glad there is the Discovery Institute and other intelligent design groups leading the way on this exciting journey. I would really like to see this become a full blown movement, and would like to be a part of that movement. Great work with the videos!

    Growing up the issues I had with macro evolution were never answered, but I shoved it aside figuring brighter minds had it figured out. Only to reevaluate this decades later and find that there is only a smoke screen around evolutionary theory to evade its massive underlying issues. Then growing up in an atheist household there were lots of issues about what I'd 'heard' about the bible - such as about the universe/earth being only 6000 years old. Then I had a devine appointment with a Christian astronomer Hugh Ross of Reasons to Believe. The information so blew me away, ...there are so many medieval traditions about the interpretations of science related topics from the Bible. I took a week from my business and read numerous books and studied the issues finding that scripture, when properly interpreted fits with science perfectly, there is no contradiction. Anyway, long story short - the Bible led me to the Creator and a relationship with Him, and now my mind is blown away every day by not only His Majesty but his Grace, Mercy and Love. But there is so much deception around, the world has been able to try and twist everything against God. And God believes in Free Will - He will not force us, and thus he only shows Himself to us to the extent to which we have faith. So we find a truth and have a kernel of faith, and as we press on for deeper truths and relationship, we grow in faith - and He can show us more. These are steps in a true Walk with God.
    I've learned to not even get into the amazing things God has done and shown me over the years with unbelievers; because frankly I might as well be speaking Martian, because there is no way they can relate. They don't see any evidence for God, and yet God has shown so so much to me in these steps and steps and steps. I pray for all those that don't know - especially that they obtain a true love for truth. Because if you earnestly seek for truth, truth that fits all the evidence, truth that may often go against what our flesh wants, then we are on a collision course to meet a God that is all powerful and loves us beyond our imagination; and has an amazing plan for each of us.

    I marvel at the fact that one would feel the need to label this as not being machines that are not designed by means of code.
    I love his recent book Darwin devolves.
    Suppressed genetic information leads to advantageous variations it is truly mind blowing and very very funny.
    And Dr. Behe has taken so much crap over the years and I thank him for that. It is always interesting to listen to the one bringing forth a reasonable argument contrary to a majority belief and being called a cretin for it at that.
    Before the Church would bully scientists. Now that is inverted in a tragicomic kind of way.
    But I don’t mind being called an idiot as long as I can look at a complex
    Thing and say “it seems as though someone made that” 🙂

    The questions have definitely moved on since the 1970s and 80s. It could be that some life forms came as a derivative from more advance life forms as they started to die and decompose.

    • @TigeyPuss1

    Darwinism should also explain the 2nd law of thermodynamics. This LAW states any thing if left unattended, deteriorates. Simple example of this is, if you leave your garden unattended it will deteriorate. It will never improve spontaneously !!! Hence this LAW means that any thing will not improve by natural means. Hence random DNA mutations spontaneously WILL NOT improve and advance to create new species!!!

    Who ever said that natural selection was random?

    • @KenJackson_US
      @KenJackson_US 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Natural selection can't select anything that's not there. But how did it get there? Those who have faith in evolution tell us random mutations are the input to natural selection. Random.

    • @pamdelaney5149
      @pamdelaney5149 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sheesh nothosaur, you have to have something to select from before it can be random! LOL Humility is the key.

    • @steadfastneasy26

      @nothosaur
      Natural selection does not act upon genetics, it only selects the weakest members of a given population. Also, given the vagaries of life in the wild, it can be very much random. The most fit member of any population can just find themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time and have their genetic legacy wiped out in an instant.

    • @2strokesimulation68
      @2strokesimulation68 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The proposed mechanism is natural selection + random mutation. Of course, the selection process for natural selection isn't exactly predictable. And random mutation is, well...
      Also, if the mutation were not random, why should we expect that it would traverse the domain of necessary inputs to produce the necessary useful sequences? (why should we even if it is?) If natural selection is actually predictable, what is the formula? (specifically; don't give me some vacuous pseudo-equation I can't plug numbers into and get a meaningful result)

If they are 3 billion plus years old they would have had plenty of time to multiply to their present state. At any rate the where matters not. Bacteria exist in places 50--100 metres below the surface of the ground and have even been found in clouds. The when is also not possible to know with any certainty, but certainly not 10,000 years ago. Creationists have done their cause much damage by misinterpreting Genesis. Gen 1:1 is not in one of the creative days and the universe may be 13 billion years as cosmos believe/think. Earth may be 4 billion years plus, also. Equally they may be much less. Further the 6 "days" are not 24 hour days, but are epochs of unknown time spans. Gen 2:4 says they were created in the "day" (singular) God made the heavens (atmosphere) and earth. The seventh day does not conclude with the ending "and there came to be morning and evening a 7th day, as do the others.
      So the 7th day continues as can be seen from Psalm 95:11, and Hebrews 4:3--5 .
      It will likely end in a little over a 1000 years from now. It appears the" when" had a "game changer" when 26 new animal forms burst onto the scene at the cambrian
      periods arrival. I wont suggest or deny that to be 530 million years ago, though I have my doubts. Why? Because they do not date the bones, only the surrounding rocks. There is almost certainly a differential. And, even then, are the radioactive clocks accurate/ reliable? That is the best I can give re your request.

      For "where and when" you could go with human guesswork, or with God's word the Bible.
      Bear in mind, of course, that God is limited neither by our scientific methods, nor by our time requirements.
      He can accomplish the miraculous in miraculous timescales.
      After all, God is God, and we are not.

    energy and matter are separate...energy attracts matter, matter covers energy, energy moves matter.....its very simple really....and life is only perceivable when you make this distinction....trees are made from air...the tree is electric...electricity rotates in carbon and oxygen and releases oxygen....basically...energy movement and matter exchange...i have some vids.

    Videos like this have much fewer likes than evolution supporter videos? Does it mean that in the west the evolution believers or atheists are much more than designer believers? Is there any data about it?

    It may be an exercise in thought and ideas for evolutionists to find a way that single aspects of evolution-natural selection, could have, might have produced one process or advent in structure over time. But and I begin with "but", for the multitude of symbiotic systems and structures to have evolved in the limited amount of time that they believe the earth has existed is to say the least incomprehensible. I thank the Lord for the people that are doing the real science. With the new knowledge we have about DNA, cell function and processes, it is only a matter of time that the tides will change in conventional thinking about the origins of life an the subsequent supposed evo.

    Eventually, those who believe in God, and those who believe in rational pursuit, will join in happy communion of realization. The God-Folk will say, ''We knew there was a design all along.'' The rationalists will say, ''We just needed time to figure out how and why it all happened.'' One day we will put 'belief' to bed, and faith will be known as force, and not fantasy, as we will be aware of the power of our own thoughts, and 'The Thought' that instigated and engages the universe.

    Beyond unimaginable cell complexity, Darwinism thrives of similarity of species and hence the notion of one has evolved from others. But the truth is the genetic difference between even 2 'similar looking species' such as Dogs and Foxes, the genetic differences must be running in to millions of DNAs out of over 3 million we have in cells. It is impossible to have such a change when Darwinism describes of changes happening due to a single DNA changes !!!

    The answer is very simple, that is "Desire". In other words "Consciousness". As we human being always evolve using our desire, the same method using by single cell.
