Cricket is very much difficult . The ball is like a stone , solid and dangerous. And there are so many things to learn in cricket it need a lot of hardwork to learn cricket and be professional.
One reason in this format of cricket that you don't see so many shots straight is that a lot of bowlers hate having the batsmen hit the ball back over their heads so they tend to ball a length (where the ball bounces) and line that makes that difficult to do.
The scores at the bottom of the screen 3/168 meant that Australia had lost 3 of their ten wickets (batsmen) but had scored 168 runs: in England it has always been shown the other way round so it would be 168/3, but it means the same thing. The 17.4 overs means that the fielding side at that point had bowled 17 full overs plus 4 balls of the 18th over. An over is 6 (legal) balls and then they change ends and a different bowler bowls another 6 balls; in this format of cricket; T20, each side bats for a maximum of 20 overs (120 balls) and the team with the most runs wins the game.
@@rickscreation6753 It can be tempting to go on in much greater detail but I try to avoid the part where the recipient's eyes start to glaze over. Beginners don't need to know 'everything' at once to follow the game.
@@rvs1444 Thanks Ravi. One thing I still really appreciate from my school education was that we were required to be able to précis or summarise written English passages to around 1/3 of their length whilst retaining essential content and meaning--very useful!
The direction they hit the ball in depends on 1) where the bowler throws the ball, and 2) where the fielders are standing. You wanna hit the ball in areas where no fielder is standing.
If the batsman hits the ball clear over the boundary (like a home run) it scores 6 runs, if it bounces before going over it is 4 runs. You get one run for each time the pair of batsmen make it all the the way to the other end of the 20.12 metre pitch.
Very true. Rounders was invented in 18th century England and was originally called Base-Ball. The Americans made a few changes and kept the original name, whereas the base-ball name was changed to Rounders in England. Rounders is more like softball with a small bat, played mostly by primary school girls (5 to 11 year olds) in England.
It doesn't matter how hard a sport is it all matter about the twist moment in cricket to win match. That's why indian like cricket much more than football or any other sport and it is really fun to play.We like watching cricket becouse it is interesting than football also.
cricket is definitely the toughest, the ball bounces on the pitch and then comes towards us which is quite difficult to play. Moreover, unlike baseball the ball here can swing as well as spin. So, batters must be able to read the bowlers mind especially in international cricket and Pitch plays the vital role in the match. There is no concept of pitch in baseball
Cricket is harder than baseball because the ball is very heavy when you're trying to hitting a short you have to muscle power in your hand and timing love from India 🇮🇳🙏👀
From a batting perspective, it is harder to hit the ball in baseball than in cricket due to the bigger bat size in cricket. But in every other way, cricket is far harder from catching without gloves (keeping in mind that a cricket ball is harder), to the far bigger area of play in cricket.
Explain then why do cricket associations, clubs and leagues employ coaches with baseball backgrounds as fielding coaches at the elite level. orr have you not noticed. Shoow some data that proves a cricket ball is harder...scientifically measured. For the international rules of baseball the dimensions of a boundary fence to centrefield is further than a cricket ground.

The real cricket is 'TEST CRICKET' 5 days of patients, strength, tactics, handling pressure, batsman taking body blows, fielder's fielding for 2-3 days, bowler bowling more than 30 overs. It all makes TEST CRICKET a real challenge and of course their is no guarantee you will win, 30 minutes of bad performance you will loose from winning position.
Crucket is much harder than baseball. Because you have to play the ball in different shots in different jone. Not like just smashing the ball with full energy in baseball. That's why, It is called a mindgame
There are only certai shots you can play to any type of ball the bowler sends down, without giving a catch, clipping the ball onto the stumps. That`s what determines how the fielders are placed. There are 10 ways to get a batter out, a few of them very rare. 3 for 135 means 3 wickets have been taken and the batting side has scored 135 runs. Apart from Australia everyone else says 135 for 3. Cricket is much more complicated than baseball. People think it`s boring because they don`t know the details. The lead in thematch can change many times. You can go from very comfortable to the brink of defeat in a few minutes and the outcome can be dccided on the final ball.
cricket is way more difficult but more enjoyable to play in baseball ball are thrown direct but in cricket ball turns and chamges direction after bounce makes difficult to hit one of the most popular sport in world.
if they try to hit. straight. ball and miss it then they will get bowled (balls hits the 3 stumps) which is not the case with side balls and you can free your arms.
I’ve played both cricket and baseball in my youth and can say most definitely that cricket is MUCH harder to play. Just look at the LAWS (rules) of the game and then consider the cricket ball is like a rock compared with a baseball. It’s both smaller and heavier than a baseball. By the way a baseball feels more like a softball after you’ve been playing cricket. The larger size and lighter weight feels easy even without the baseball glove after playing cricket (yes I have played both in one day, in a match against a Yank team). There really is little comparison, so much more to think about and strategy in cricket. People who think baseball is harder simply no nothing about cricket. Most Americans are shocked when they try and catch a cricket ball.
Both baseball and cricket balls are harder, solid, but one great difference is , that in cricket you need to catch it without any gloves except wicket keeper who stands behind stumps 👍
Its simple, ball running inside the boundary line and pass boundary line is 4 Ball goes outside the boundary in air that's six,if someone catch the ball the batsman gotta go becoz he is out
when you get hit on the box(testicle guard) its called getting hit on the middle wicket, i don't know if you can say its harder to play but there are a lot more mays to get out, and the ball because hit has to bounce before you hit it,and the bowlers put spin on it the ball can move before it gets to the bats man, the bowler will aim for any mark or divot on the ground to make the ball turn even more
Cricket require more fitness and longer in time. As a batsman you can get only one chance in a match. So, if you cannot handle pressure don't go for it
Cricket is the second most popular sport in the world. India, Pakistan and Bangladesh have huge populations and it’s an obsession in those countries. Add the British Isles, Australasia, South Africa and the Caribbean …
Cricket balls are smaller, heavier, and harder than baseballs. That’s a fact and fielders in cricket do not ware gloves as they do in baseball. Cricket generally requires far greater skill. You must use good technique to catch a cricket ball unless you want to risk a few broken fingers.
Ball is like a stone and it has different color according to the format. And it's dangerous if not taken precaution, and actually someone also died (Australian cricketer), that's why batman wear, helmet, protective undergarment kit leg pad etc, now a days even umpire standing near the baller ot pitcher keep protective guard to protect himself
In cricket it's not important how far you can hit. How long you stay on ground that's important good batman in test cricket can bat 8 hr without getting out.
So you don't really know much about baseball...hitting is not about blasting the ball out of the park. It is about the ability to contact and place the ball. Try getting some balance about your knowledge before passing judgement.
Hey whats up they can hit wherever they want to its own choice and hitting it will score points for example 4 points for hitting it towards the barrier and 6 points for hitting it iver the barrier without it touching the ground
