Wildlife Camera Highlights August 2024 Highlights

Welcome to the fun wildlife activity spotted on the Eshom Tree Farm wildlife camera in August 2024! As part of our forest practice activities we actively monitor the wildlife on the tree farm so we can understand what wildlife is present and can monitor their routines. This video contains the highlights of what we saw in August 2024.
This month the coyotes seemed more active. At 2:39 a coyote is carrying something in its mouth. Usually we don't see them with any prey but this time it appears a rabbit wasn't able to hop away fast enough. I find it kind of peaceful to watch the deer casually (though I'm sure they are on high alert for predators) graze.
The camera sniffing doe made another visit this month! The black bear also seems to be a periodic visitor probably as it wanders its way around the peninsula seeking out its favorite meals.
