    Ciao Giorgetto, Cuore Granata! Sono un tuo dipendente (modellatore di stile...) che ha tanto lavorato su tutti i Tuoi prototipi... Non fa eccezione la Brera... Quante soddisfazioni Giorgetto! Ti abbraccio con l'affetto di un figlio, Tu che sei stato premiato come miglior stilista del millennio! Orgoglioso di essere Tuo Amico!

      A parte il fatto che qui il tifo calcistico non c'entra nulla ;-), sono geloso di lei, che ha avuto l'onore di lavorare con il mito Giugiaro. Non ebbi mai avuto l'occasione di incontrarlo e perciò mi dovetti rassegnare, per modo di dire, al semplice possesso di alcune sue opere d'arte, tra le altre la 2000 GTV (Bertone) del 1972 e la 156 seconda generazione ridisegnata con il famoso V6 di Giuseppe Busso.
      Ormai è storia, onore a Giugiaro!

    The Brera concept is probably the most timeless car design ever and might still look contemporary in 10 years. PS You should probably include the car in the thumbnail ;-)

    Fabulously beautiful car. I saw it and sat in it in 2010 and it is an absolute masterpiece. I agree the production version lost a lot of the drama, but it retained much of the concept including that line that runs from the front right around to the middle of the tapered back window. I owned a Brera 3.2 QV from 2007 - 2010, sold it for a Maserati GranSport (also a Giugiaro design) then sold that after 10 years and am again driving a Brera!

    The most beautiful interior, exterior and enginebay design of all time. And it's all on one car. I hope one day I'll have the honor to see this car in person. A mechanical Piece of Art that has to be preserved.

      @@ThePhilosopher01 I understand your point, but as the owner of a Brera even I sometimes mistake the concept car for the production car. What shocked most people is how similar the 2 are and seldom does a concept carry over so much. For me the biggest differences are the ones you can't see. It's the RWD v8 vs FWD, and in my case a 5cyl diesel. Sad the platform didn't survive but glad the doors didn't.

    • @ThePhilosopher01
      @ThePhilosopher01 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@greygtv6 you're right that the rwd is gone is the biggest change and I think you actually CAN see it. for me the biggest problem of the production brera is that the wheelbase is really short and it has a gigantic front overhang due to the fwd and the wheel arches are lower as well. I mean it's still a good looking car but compared to the original idea... Meh. But that propably also depends on taste. :)

    People would have understand Guigiaros visio of the Brera, if the controllers would have allowed it to have scissor doors. Imagine this car today, 20 years later: The Brera would have been the first mass produced sportscar with this feature. AlfaRomeo missed this opportunity to realize.

      @@_speedholics_ Personalmente posseggo a scopo amatoriale una Brera blu Misano della quale sono follemente innamorato. Ok, alla fine non "ha avuto" la trazione posteriore, ok il v6 non era il Busso, ok tutto ma....quali sarebbero i "reali limiti della vettura"? Il peso? Per me questa è una grande stupidaggine. Non che non sia vero ma la Brera è stata concepita come GranTurismo e non una super car. Le soluzioni adottate per gli interni (pelle ovunque, niente plastica croccante, vetro sul tetto ed alluminio spazzolato vero) ne sono la conferma. Oltre questo però, da possessore anche di jaguar, porsche, mercedes ed audi, posso tranquillamente dire che ha una dinamica di guida che ho trovato in ben poche altre auto.

      Io la vidi al motor show di Bologna nel 2002: rimasi a guardarla per 30 minuti, di sasso. Le proporzioni del modello di serie sono completamente diverse, e se hai visto l'originale...
      Tra l'altro Fiat fu estremamente miope sotto tutti i punti di vista.
      Un'idea? Qualche anno dopo ci fu il reboot della saga di Batman: questa Brera in nero non poteva andare bene come auto per Bruce Wayne? Sarebbe stata un'ottima carta per tornare negli States, se ci fosse stato un prodotto all'altezza...
