  • Blake at DIYHEMI shows why EVERY Hemi Swap needs to have this 45 degree oil filter adapter on their engine. Not only that, but you have to modify it so that it will fit. Special oil filters are needed for a low profile to avoid clearance issues with the K member. All the info is provided in the video. Please like and subscribe to our channel! It would mean the world to us. Hemi Swap the World!
    Thanks guys for watching
    If you want to help support us more! Please check out what hemi parts we have available in our store! We are continuing to add products to our hemi swap product list. Our new QUICKHEMI harness is now in stock for a full plug and play standalone harness that plugs into the factory PCM/ECM and the existing engine harness. Yes our harness saves you a good bit of money because we still utilize the existing engine harness that will usually come with your junkyard swap hemi.

    Great video, great information. I was looking for info on where to install my oil pressure sending unit and you supplied it.

    Another great video, and really like the use of the extractor...word of caution though, I have had a couple of those oil standpipes that would break the extractor trying to get it out. If you have to use anything bigger than the 1/2 ratchet Blake used, then I don't recommend using the extractor.

    I am about to buy a 2020 dodge charger 6.4 to install into a 68 charger and have a ton of questions. Can I pay you for your time to answer some questions and buy some stuff from you?

    need info i have a 1994 ram 2500 4wd 5speed nv4500 trans. i have 3 2003 5.7 hemis, i have 2 2014 5.7 hemis, and 1 2014 6.4 hemi. the 2003 i have the whole truck wiring harness and all but all are automatics and want to keep the 5 speed in the 1994. several have told me to go with the older hemi and use the later model eagle heads main thing is i want to keep the ac working and power steering as well which combo do you think best

      2014 6.4 will bolt up just as easy as a 5.7. Don’t use the 2003 system as it isn’t nearly as nice or clean as the 6.4.
      You can run AC and power steering on a 6.4 easily

      @@SUBLIMEparts someone had told me that the 6.4 compressor hit the steering sector and you couldn't run ac unless you ran the older hemi where the compressor was on top

    • @SUBLIMEparts
      @SUBLIMEparts  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@DependableAutoTruck all car hemi engines had the compressor down low. All trucks have the compressor up top. If you have problems with clearance, put the truck 5.7 (09-newer) front timing cover and accessories on the 6.4 and run it. Unless it is a truck 6.4, then just bolt it in

    Seems like that part got discontinued. Can't find it on dodge website. Any chance you guys know which cars/trucks had them from factory?

    Hi there.. Could you please tell me if those oil filters (Baldwin B7221 and Wix 51335) fit 2010 Hemi SRT8 6.1L engines?
    Many thanks

      Honestly can’t say for sure. Try using rock auto. They have a great compatibility chart system.

    I guess mines welded in my block. Ive tried almost everything to get my adapter out. Bolt extractor just split it even with vice grips on it. Not coming out. Im not driving anywhere.

      I got a little more than a quarter turn on mine and it seized up... eventually split... did you drill yours out?

    Is there a Mopar vehicle that came with this adapter from the factory? It would be nice to be able to find one in a junkyard.

    Does anybody know what size Allen key takes off the filter bracket

    • @TheKenworthys
      @TheKenworthys 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have a 2021 5.7 and it takes a 12mm allen key on the "filter spline"
