I understood the concepts of different types of sweater while watching your explanations. you explained very well!! Would you introduce about yarns for sweaters? It will be a wonderful! Thank you so much!
Hi Jamie- I’ll add that to my list and cover it as best I can when I get a chance! Are you interested in knowing what fibers are best/not so great for sweaters? I can give you my opinion, I know we’ve also talked about it over on the Sun Dragon Sideshow, the other channel I have where my assistant at the LYS Liz and I chat about lots of things. I’ll put a link here if I can find an episode that’s relevant :)
@@SunDragonTipsTricks Sounds wonderful if you pit the link here! I wonderd about fiber yarn too. I am a beginner on knitting. I didn't make a sweater before but I want to.. Thank you for your response!
You’re an excellent teacher! If you already have available a pattern for the seamless top down raglan, I’d love to create a sweater with it. Thank you!
Hi Renee- I don’t write patterns myself, but the book Ready Set Raglan from PomPom Publishing is a great reference guide/pattern book, and Knitatude and PetiteKnit on Ravelry have great top-down raglan patterns (I’m sure others do too, if I remember any more I’ll try to post).
Hi Leslie! I do already have a frogging video- it is not specific to knitting in the round, but may be helpful! Knitting: Frogging, or the art of pulling out stitches and getting them back on your needle! th-cam.com/video/DK5Q97eGtHo/w-d-xo.html
@@SunDragonTipsTricks Just what I needed. Body as been frogged to a lifeline I had the sense to place. Correct number of stitches are loaded. Trying to find the shoulder stitches so that I can hold them and re knit the body. I had removed my raglan markers once I added cast on stitches under the arm. One little step at a time.
Just discovered these sweater construction videos late last night. I love your teaching style! One burning question for me: which fibres and stitch patterns hold the shape of a sweater the longest? ( Luckily the one and only sweater I've made now looks good as a dress...) I'm reluctant to invest the time and resources into another pure merino sweater until I'm reasonably certain I can get at least a year out of it before it starts to go wonky. Does superwash merino hold its shape for longer? Thanks again for the series!!
I Am petit over my shoulder but have a big bust. I would like to see a video how to adjust a pattern for a big bust without getting a big bag over my back and a neat fit over my shoulders. And than you for your very pedagogical videos.
Hi Eva- thank you for the comment and the feedback! That is a wonderful suggestion, as I have bigger girls as well. I have a good grounding on the basics of patterns, however I am not yet an expert at altering patterns for a better fit. Some patterns have adaptations for short rows or bust darts, but I’ve often been cautious when approaching those, as they might take some experimentation, not everyone needs shaping in the same place. If I research enough on the topic, I’ll try to make a video, but I am not sure when that could be ❤️
Hi Becca- saddle shoulder construction is one I don’t have as much experience with, essentially there are strips of knitting across the shoulders connected to the sleeves and the front and back connect to these strips rather than to each other. If I become more versed in it I’ll make a video, but that might not be for some time ❤️
I’ll see if I can put it on the list, but I have not done a lot of those- my best advice is taking a regular v-neck sweater pattern, picking up stitches along the edge, and knitting a thick band, then sewing the edges made to the same v-neck edge you picked up the stitches from. ❤️
Hi Navaneetham, I am not well-versed in double knitting, let alone three colors, but I will add it to my list of things to look into- I have techniques related to stranded knitting with 3 colors, I’ll have to investigate if they are applicable to double knitting :) ❤️
@@SunDragonTipsTricks thank you.i recently, saw a muffler double knitted with three colours on TH-cam.even,i was wondering how was that possible.anyways ,I am going to try it and wanted to know the techniques behind it.good luck

I am enjoying your videos. Would you consider making one on frogging and remounting stitches when knitting a sweater in the round?

Nice job explaining terms but not talking over the heads of newer knitters
