The thing that makes Leff so strong in these sets is not only his clean technical play or matchup knowledge but its mostly his awareness. Every move his opponent makes every slight mistake is being punished like crazy
I think the biggest indicator of this was when Leffen instantly went for ledge at 150% when Plup was trying to recover. He traded the slight possibility of continuing a high percent stock for a good chance of jamming Plup's recovery. Great decision
I come back to this every now and then. Watching this was like a dream, I was already up for over 24 hours and felt a bit woozy. As it happened, it felt so surreal but oh so right. Couldn’t have ended any better.
I remember watching a bunch of smash highlight videos and in most of them, Leffen was always getting clapped, and I felt so bad, like he was really good at smash, but always came in second place. He is always in the top 2-3 in Super Majors, but hasn't won one for a while. He dominates everyone but Armada. But Armada dominantes everyone but Leffen. And Leffen dominates everyone but Hbox. So I can make a big case that Leffen should be the number one.
