Pretty fair final invoice i would say..... one has to appreicate Pauls skill , expertise and years of old school experience behind him!!! Need to get down that M1 and take my 1989, 930 turbo to Northway Porsche!!! 🤝
Had mine for 22 years never sell it always a pleasure to look at and drive mine is a Black/Black 1991 3.3 Turbo . The thing you should mention is the very distinct smell 964 Turbos have .
@@rajsangha911 Bump into a guy many years ago who owned a 964Turbo and sold it ,showed him mine he jump in first response smelt just like his. Fuel cross oil and exhaust mixture combined with a bit of leather 😂👍
Same here. Had mine coming up to 19 years now and despite it costing more and more to keep them running (some parts are now 10x what I was paying when I first bought it!), I can't envisage ever selling it. 1992 3.3 Turbo (93 registered) black pearl metallic with black and cashmere beige interior. The smell is absolutely distinctive; petrol, oil and leather.
Him telling Raj, “There’s something about this particular turbo” in my experience every shop says something like this when you’re about to get a massive bill 🤣🤣 car sounds great
Good stuff, Raj. I spent $10k on some deferred maintenance when I got my used 996 turbo - shocking price at first, but probably my most reliable car. Knock on wood.
Lol Raj i seen you gasp for air for a minute when the numbers were thrown. Big love to your show.enjoyed it since I first came across it on YT.Great appreciation for you taking care of our family when they were representing South Africa at Gravity. We'll be back this year. 🙌
Great video as always, I know its easy for me to say as its not my car or money...but in relation to what the cars worth, the cost of the rebuild is very reasonable... plus the fact that you know the jobs been properly by a reputable specialist gives even more peace of mind..bet you cant wait for the running in period is over to give it an Italian tune up....good luck and enjoy
@@rajsangha911 Exactly, storyline could go something like, cost of car and condition, each piece of work carried out and the cost associated to it, with a final cost of the project.
The thrill of the boost will still be there long after the sting of the bill has been forgotten. Are Northways doing a detail engine build video? That's a bargain tbh, I thought that would be high teens. You've found a good shop there! @15:50 DIBS!!!!!
Agree, very special and iconic car and such a joy to drive! Unfortunately Northway do not have an in-house media team so doubt they will release an in-depth build video
You're being conservative saying it's good for another 100k. With upgraded parts in the top notch rebuild it's good for a lot more with of course regular servicing. Enjoyed the video geezer. Regards from the other side of the world.
@@rajsangha911 I was saving up for a 964 for ages then the prices went sky high. You guys put a system in my 200sx about 15yrs ago! I have a Cayman now 🙂 great channel!
I’ve known Ray and the Northway team for almost 35 years. I wouldn’t take my car anywhere else! Nice collection of cars by the way, both Porsches and the other stuff.
Thanks for sharing the costs involved, too many hide it, but this shows the true reality of supercar ownership.
You bet … These classics can be costly to repair when something goes wrong!

Very true! Paul’s passion and expertise shines through. Give them a shout for your 930 Turbo 👍🏽

We'll find out once the Turbo has been dyno'd 😎

Cheers - I do love a 996 Turbo 👍🏼

Good to see another update and Raj at Northway, the large bill is always worth it for these sick classics! 🙌🔥
Couldn't agree more!

Thanks Gary and well said about the costs and Northway’s work. 2-3 weeks and we should be good to push the car to its limits 👍🏽
That's a lot less than I was expecting ... opps page two comes along .... £££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££ Worth even penny . Thanks for sharing.
In the end, the final figure was in the ball park of what I was expecting 👍🏽
Smiles per mile!! You can’t put a price on that. You are doing alright financially 👍
Yes! Thank you!
What a beauty Raj. You have my dream collection.
Love this car!! Peace of Mind for you now after all the work, to go out and enjoy the car😎
That’s the plan 🚀
If I had the money (which sadly I don't !), I would buy this car on the wonderful sound that rebuilt engine makes......very addictive! 👍👍
This noise is intoxicating when on boost 🚀🚀
There’s a sense of magic about this car
You should know 😉
It's a Porsh.. 😂🎉
It looks amazing, sounds epic, interior is beautiful. 👏 Would love to see a final build cost from end to end
Build cost of engine, paint, wheels and other bits? I'm sure we can cover that in an episode 👍🏼

I remember this when Amir had it. Was the only time I saw it up close. It's a wonderful machine and you've done the right thing 😎
Thanks Sat - special car which deserves to be pampered 👍🏽
Its actually cheap for a complete rebuild which is insane to say..
Have fun Raj
Superb value for money considering how much work Northway ended up doing 👍🏽
I think that wasn't bad that invoice, stunning car Raj, look forward to seeing the results on the dyno😊
Actually can't wait for the dyno run!

Great video
Congrats
Was actually waiting for this update earlier today
Hope you enjoyed it 😎
Excellent update! Love these videos, Raj.
Thanks for watching 😊
The bill was not nearly as much as I was expecting, even factoring in a discount. Nice story for this car.
That bill is cheap... I know a idiot that got ripped off paying nearly 20k for a rebuild...
Your car now sounds awesome 💥💥💥💥💥
Thanks Steve, definitely a great deal from Northway!
Great vid raj.
Thanks for watching 👍🏽
worth every single penny

It really is!
That is HALF of what a shop in the USA would charge …yes sir you got a good deal!
This work would cost USD$30k in the US?
@@hifiandmtb exactly, what we have are a bunch of crooks!
Agree, very favourable price 👍🏽
It definitely sounds fruity👌
Totally… it’s a mad car!
“Is that the bill?”
“Yes”
“The total bill?”
“Yes”
“Amazing, much less than you told me!”
…turns the page
“Oh so it’s more than double…. 🙄”
For a moment I thought I'd been given one insane discounted deal 😂
What a car
Proper car
The £11k will be easily recovered if you ever sell it with all the documentation and this TH-cam vid.
💯💯
No way in this world is that engine rebuild worth 11k
Assuming you mean it should cost more 🤷🏼♂️
