I just bought and installed this afro kinky bulk hair from QVR. So many people are not washing it for the exact reason she stated. They are afraid it will get tangled and be unusable but I recommend that you all please, please wash it. I kept it in the hair net that it came in. I then soaked it in a gentle clarifying shampoo...no rubbing or scrubbing. I just soaked the hair while keeping it in the hair net. I repeated the soak (approx 3 times) until the water was clear. Then I let it hair air dry. I didn't add conditioner because I knew I would use a leave-in during and after the installment. The hair was still intact and not in a tangled mess because I didn't manipulate it while washing it. The hair turned out beautiful and I love it. Too many videos are just installing and not washing the hair. The hair doesn't have a strong smell to it but the rinse did have a brownish/orangish tint to the water when I washed it and during the first rinse the color was very noticeable. I hope this helps others that are afraid to wash afro kinky bulk hair. Again the hair is lovely and I will continue to buy and use it but not before washing it. Stay beautiful ladies.
I washed mine first and I let it air dry. I didn't use any conditioner either. I didn't think to leave it in the hair net, but I didn't have any problems. Also, I didn't manipulate the hair either, it came out good.
@monabee5044 just received my order today and it smelled bad to me. My 14 year old really pointed it out when I opened the package. I've been searching how should I wash it. So thank you for this.
Thank you so much! I’m sure you could do the extended twists but you’d have to extend the length maybe 2 or 3 times to get that same look, especially with the shrinkage that comes with this hair. I’m not promising to do it lol 😆
Did you use less than three because you have a small head? It’s an honest question because I see everybody purchasing 5 packs and using 4. I just feel like 3 packs would suffice for me because my head is so tiny. I’m doing twists a little smaller than yours and interlocking them.
I've seen so many videos with this hair, and it really looks incredible and super natural but I can't get myself to buy it for the price..I hate that it comes in bulk (like it was just rolled off a hair salon floor) and hair comes out everytime you stretch a piece like you showed..For the same reason I think it would be hard to reuse..what's the point of paying for humain hair that you can't even reuse
Not sure if you’ve seen the sale price but they offer 3 packs (which is what I used) for $60. Definitely try to catch the sale! You saw the initial shedding in the video, but I don’t think the hair would be hard to reuse at all! You’ve already pulled out any hair that was gonna be shed. I had to redo a couple of my twists in the back and reused the same piece of hair without issue 🤷🏽♀️
@@jaichanellie Oh I definitely didn't see that, it said 1 pack 93$..other times I've seen 5 packs for +350$, something around that range...I would definitely get the 3 for 60$,thats a good deal..Thanks for letting me know, I'll see if i can get the sale
I bought the hair a month or so ago and I feel like it’s in pieces. I’m pretty good at doing my own hair but this I find more difficult…. I’m kinda regretting getting it ( I haven’t done the style yet)
Hey! Hope u see this….when i first learned to use this hair…i would braid my hair down 1-2 inches…crochet the human hair extensions thru the base…braid over my real hair braid to secure the extension in my hair, then twist the rest of the length. I actually still use this method on my entire perimeter.
The amount of hair shouldn’t change that much based on the size if you’re using your natural hair’s thickness as a guide (which I typically do.) I’ve done chunky twists and mini twists with synthetic hair and used the exact same amount of hair
I bought this hoping I could reuse it. I took it down and give all the tangles I could ot reuse. Unless there is a way to prevent tangles, I would recommend you save your coins
@@raxxie yes you can reuse it. I used it twice but the second use I did very small twists and decided to cut them at the end instead of unraveling them.

Thank you for sharing this. I would NEVER install hair without washing it... ❤❤❤
omg I LOVE the look of these! This would be perfect for us fine hair natural girlies
You are absolutely right! It’s perfect for added volume while still looking SUPER natural 😍
really glad i clicked on this bc i would have bought 14" or 16".....definitely need 22"+
I've used ywigs spring twist human hair. Much easier to work with than the kinky bulk. Still natural and light.
Looks gorgeous Jai! Do you think you'd be able to extend the twists like you did in your "extra long twists" video? Would be cool to see :) ❤

Your tutorials are amazing. I have been able to do my daughters hair and it look professional and beautiful. Thank you!
Mini twist GOAT ✨
🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 i appreciate that!
Wow!!! Looks so good and natural.
Hi. Beautiful job ❤. I bought two packs of the hair and for watching a video I’m just realizing that I am going to need more hair😮😢

Fabulous I love Marley, and Cuban twist hair. Its basically the same. The price is between. $4.99 and $5.99 per pack.
the texture is different - it looks and feels different
I have that hair. I was going to do my micro locs with it to add length but I had trouble separating it.
Omg micro locs would be so pretty with this hair 😍 I’d recommend pulling from the middle of the strand rather than the ends if that makes sense
@@jaichanellie that makes perfect sense. My brain was like separate from the ends lol
@@tyddavis87 yay i hope you’re able to try out your micro locs!
I love this length and size I twist 😉

Wow! Thank God that I find you. My hair is so thin & need to work on it so I was searching for 100% natural hair. Where can I get this hair?

Aren’t there like large or medium twist? I wonder how many packs for actual mini twist.
