I loved this video! Thank you!! I have fifth grade twins and a sixth grader who have been doing Saxon math for years in private school and are doing well. We will homeschool next year and they would like to continue Saxon! I’ve been overwhelmed at the thought of having to teach them all, but your information makes me feel much better!
I just ordered Saxon yesterday from Christian book. I ordered two levels, and one of them (5/4) is back ordered. My estimated shipping date was said to be around April 22nd.
We are doing Christian Light until we are able to do 5/4for my 1st grader. My 4th grader is doing Christian Light right now and tested for 6/5 "next year" and we will transition him in a few months!
Before homeschooling, I was a high school public school math teacher for 13 years. I NEVER assigned my students all the problems the books had. Not that you need my input but, you're doing a great job assessing where your children are academically and proceeding in a manner that serves them. Have a great day!
I did the Nicole the math lady trial as you suggest in a previous video and my daughter loved it. So we did order it from Rainbow resources for the fall. Btw love your nails are those flower stickers?
Thank you! First thing- my camera has a blur filter so not just my skin - I have pores, scars, all the things 😜 BUT in this video I just started using a new foundation from IL Makiage and it’s pretty amazing ❤️
Great question! Nicole’s website has multiple options so I can set up her site to do even problems on even days too! So my daughter only sees those problems ❤️
That was so confusing to me in the beginning here is how it works, Saxon Math 5/4 is on-grade level for 4th grade and for a 5th grader who may need to take it at a slower pace. Saxon Math 6/5 is on-grade level for 5th grade and for a 6th grader who may need to take it at a slower pace. As always take a placement test to see which level would work best. There is always tons of review in the first 20-30 lessons.

Awesome! My nails are press ons from Olive & June ❤️❤️
My daughter has used Saxon in charter school until we decided to homeschool this year so we stuck with Saxon as it is what she knew.
How many questions typically make up the “mixed practice” section for Saxon 3?
It’s normally around 25
Your skin is beautiful. What foundation do you use?

What is the pricing for the third party ? Thanks

Does Nicole the math lady teach lessons for the level 3 saxxon?
She does!
If you do even problems on even days…does she do all the problems on Nicole’s site or does she have the option to skip them?

@@gatheredandgrounded oh great! Thank you so much! Can’t wait to start Saxon math.
I've always been curious about the titles. Why is 4th grade called 5/4?

@@gatheredandgrounded Ah that makes so much sense, thank you so much for explaining!
Lorelai, I thought your child went to
Chilton?
