I only wish Chaka and Rufus could have STAY...ed together, just like the song says, they were one of the funkiest, baddest bands in the land, back in the day!
I wish that some of the young artist would slow down long enough to take at least a "crash course"in some real music and artists who came before them. I think they would actually like what they hear and pick up. Chaka MUST be studied if you want to be a "stylist" singer. You kids are making inroads and having success and yet you have missed a true craft if you don't give a listen to Chaka (the early years)
I think that about Joe sample's playing. however though, ms. chaka is unmatched in sheer vocal power by 95% of singers in her style genre. that other .05% is inhabited by her ladyship Pattie labelle
