This is part of the problem with our fanbase at the moment. Too many romanticising over poch, HE'S GONE NOW! He ultimately won us nothing and for the last year and a half under him we were in decline.
Too many talking utter shit, we are in a far better spot than we were 12 months ago.

Levy signed no one in summer 18, yet going into the burnley game in late feb 19 (where eriksen downed tools) spurs were miraculously 5 points off the top in one of the highest scoring title races ever, despite losing dembele early season, despite sonny being away for 2 international tournaments, and despite every first teamer bar alderweireld being missing for at least a month.
Poch had held things together through 4 years of awful or non existent recruitment and losing walker, rose, wanyama, dembele and dier to either departure, injury or total loss of form with. None of them replaced, eventually eriksen was the last straw and saw a massive decline.
But that was late february 19 and poch was fired in october/november 19. Thats not 18 months, that is about 8 or 9 months, and we pulled off a miraculous run to the champions league final in between with many key players missing.
That team in feb19 was lightyears ahead of the team now under jose and were seeing off weak teams with a weakened squad. This team now can barely win despite everyone being fit. Sheffield is the only team in the bottom 8 that we’ve beaten by more than 1 goal, and we’ve drawn 4 of those games. We have no playmaker (by joses choice to bring bergwijn instead of replacing eriksen) and we have no ideas.
We have 3 superstars kane sonny and dele, and we have 2 potential superstars in ndombele and lo celso, but joses system of wanting to defend for 90minutes means he wants sissoko or winks in number 8 instead of ndombele or lo celso, so he has ndombele, lo celso and dele all competing for the number 10 slot. Im sorry but a better manager would have already integrated ndombele at 8, dele at 10 and lo celso into eriksens old slot. Instead, Jose froze ndombele out for half a season stunting his progress, so that only now he looks ready to play 90minutes, Lo celso has went backwards and no longer looks able to play in eriksens old slot despite shining there early on, and dele is being forced out of the club. Meanwhile we have won 3 of our last 9 games in the league and have liverpool up next.
Come on. We are about to lose sonny and kane in the summer, and we are losing dele aswell. Ndombele (who no doubt hates jose after last season) will be our only superstar left, assuming barca dont come back in for him. Is he going to win us a league?
Jose was supposed to be the manager to plug the gaps, and reguilon, hojbjerg and vinicius have done that but hes created holes that werent there before and taken the football backwards.

The only thing you've said there that is true, is that poch didn't sign anyone for 2 windows. That because we had just built a new stadium which we were in dire need of to compete in the long run for financial reasons, and pochs fussiness when it came to buying players.
Dele Alli, is not good enough to be a number 10. He is not good enough to be in this side. His abilities are vastly overrated by the spurs fanbase in general, and if he were good enough, he'd be playing now. He is lazy, slows us down and I suspect, isn't as good as he thinks he is in his own head.
As for us 2 years ago, we were shocking that year. The CL run was a complete fluke, it papered over many cracks of that season, poor performances in the other cups, and we'd either win or lose. And when we did get beat, we were beat well. The team which wasn't much different to the one he had years prior, were in decline. The players weren't playing well, big players, and it was evident to see that pochs effect on them was having less and less effect.
Don't get me wrong, I was disappointed when it all came to an end, but it was not good enough. We were in danger of sliding back into that pack of teams, barely competing for European places.
As things stand we are in a cup final, well within a shout for top 4, dare I say it close to the teams at the top, still in Europe, and still in the fa cup. And you have this sky is falling attitude towards the football club. It makes no sense.
The football under poch in the last 18 months under poch was just as frustrating sometimes, even more I'd argue, as we were always vulnerable, wide open and had stopped doing the things in the previous years under him. We lost our identity, and again, were relying on big moments from the top players of the team, and it was failing.
I don't get what all the fuss is about, we win trophies this year in my opinion, and when they are in the trophy cabinet, I won't give a single fuck about how we got them there, and nor should you. It's been too long, the club is geared up for success now, we must start to deliver.
Mourinho has helped more players than he's "ruined". He turned Sneijder into possibly the best player on the planet. He's one of the most publicly praised managers in the game when it comes to ex-player interviews. People just talk about individuals that were tossed aside and ignore the dozens of footballers who possibly owe their success to that guy. The Chelsea that won the CL was built by him, the Inter that won the CL was built by him, the Real Madrid that won the CL was built by him.

I didn't say he wasn't outdated and even if he is, he still wins trophies so it's yet to be confirmed. Next time you try to respond negatively to a comment, how about you actually make a point that refutes what the person said instead of going off on a tangent. @Oneman Oneman "POSSIBLY the best player on the planet". The things he was doing at Inter were unbelievable. This guy was a genius. That year, it was Messi, Xavi, Iniesta and him. Inter won the treble and Netherlands got to the World Cup final. If Robben had finished that 1 on 1 Sneijder gave him, Sneijder would've won the Ballon d'Or that year. After the CL final, Sneijder was Ballon d'Or favourite. Then when he lost the final to Spain, he came 4th behind Messi, Xavi and Iniesta. He was very close.

Spurs won’t win any trophies because the quality is not there !! 100% a couple of terrific players but technically we are one of the worse teams in the top flight at passing the ball and keeping possession. The biggest event for city was when they won the 1st fa cup, vs Stoke. They proved to themelves they could win in a final, when pressures high, u perform or u fail. Well nobody knows exactly what world class is but you can't put Ndombele in that class, he can't even go 90 minutes and is terrible at holding the ball and preventing attacks back the other way. He is all about random, careless dribbling. Kane and Lloris are comfortably world class. Son might be there, I'd vote 'yes' but he's pretty predictable and mostly beats you just one way (beating the offside trap on the left). Reguillon can get there but aside from his sweet crosses leaves alot to be desired.
Levy gave Spurs one of the best stadiums in the world. Not many chairmen deliver that!

@@redlavish7027 Kane does everything right on the pitch, leads from the front, makes bad balls into good balls, and gives defenders a real hard game all game. Defenders playing against Martial don't even come off with a scratch let alone a sweat. Most uninterested, lacklustre player I've ever seen up front for united. He doesn't even wanna be on the pitch by the looks of him, let alone challenge a defender. Rashford struts around like he's something but in reality he's not a patch on any of our attackers from last twenty five years

I do agree with you in most parts anyway. I always have felt martial has great feet and ability but he doesn’t show it often and his finishing is poor. Rashford to me is clueless at times, quite possibly the most frustrating player in my eyes. I like Kane but I’m not a fan of some of his attributes thats it really, he has no pace, he can’t dribble, he can’t take players on, horrendous at set pieces. He ain’t technically that great but he’s got a wonderful shot on him and he’s a clinical finisher but give me a prime aguero or Suarez or Henry any day of the week.

I genuinely am trying to be balanced but mourinho isn't the right man, I truly believe that Mauricio pochettino would have this team top of the table right now with a cushion, I think daniel levy made a huge mistake in sacking him as most people could see at the time and he has shot himself and the club in the foot, the way we're set up is a waste of the quality and talent we have in the squad, it's suffocating levels of restriction, negative approach deserves negative results, 3 holding midfielders at home against Fulham is disgraceful and is not necessary in relation to the quality of the opposition, you can't treat Fulham and crystal palace as if they're liverpool and city, against weaker opposition you have to be pro active and dominate but he doesn't do that he just retreats.
