I was so disappointed she didn't windmill during this, as that would have been the sound of the wind.

Please make reaction to Diana Ankudinova - the most unique young talented singer.
One of my favourite things to find and enjoy is music that gives me chills and goosebumps. I was cruising TH-cam recently and discovered a Russian talent show contestant that did just that, with one of the best, most unique voices I've heard in many years. Her delivery was nothing short of magical and I searched out more and more and more, and...more chills.
I was stunned to find that the first performance I heard was when she was 14!!!! She's now 17 and still developing. She sings in Russian, French, English and Arabic.
The covers she performed on that show are very popular on TH-cam. Many TH-camrs publish reactions on these performances, which include the ethnic song "River" (in a new musical arrangement), "Blizzard", "Wicked Game", "Human", "Derniere Danse", "Helwa Ya Baladi" and others.
Please react to one of Diana's songs and I promise she will surprise you.

As usual, Floor does Floor things. The way she approaches this song is one of the many examples of how outstanding Floor is.
This time I want to give the Metropole Orkest
(MO) the attention it deserves. Many know that Nightwish works together with the London Philharmonic Orchestra. They are just like the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra (RCO) one of the world leading symphonic orchestras. Next to the RCO is the MO a world class orchestra on its own. The MO does pop, rock and jazz. It makes my Dutch heart happy. How is it possible that such a small country has so much musically to offer to the rest of the world?
    🤯🤯🤯
    "Metropole Orkest
When you think of an orchestra, you think classical music. That’s not the Metropole Orkest (MO). Playing jazz, pop, world music and film scores, the Metropole Orkest has shared the stage with legends such as Ella Fitzgerald, Dizzy Gillespie, Pat Metheny, Brian Eno, Herbie Hancock, The Basement Jaxx and Bono. The MO invests just as much in playing with the next generation of stars like Caro Emerald, Kovacs, Robert Glasper, Woodkid, Snarky Puppy and Gregory Porter. Under the helm of leading conductors Jules Buckley, Vince Mendoza and Miho Hazama, Metropole Orkest seeks to challenge boundaries of current symphonic pop and jazz.
    photo: Reinout Bos (ADE 2017)
Metropole Orkest is a regular guest on The Netherlands’ main stages such as the Amsterdam Paradiso or The Concertgebouw. And has played in both the Barbican and Royal Albert Hall in London. The Orkest also plays many festivals including North Sea Jazz, BBC Proms, Holland Festival and Musikfest Bremen. Over the years, Metropole Orkest received no less than 20 Grammy nominations and won 3. Most recently for ‘Best Contemporary Instrumental Album’ in 2016 with Snarky Puppy.
The Metropole Orkest has produced more than 150 albums and thousands of radio and television broadcasts, requiring over 600 arrangements per year in every imaginable style. Despite this musical versatility, people all over the world can recognise inimitable sound, style and identity of the Metropole Orkest.
As the world’s leading pop and jazz orchestra, the Metropole Orkest is always looking to experiment and to be part of spectacular performances. The Metropole Orkest moves audiences. That is, after all, the real purpose of music.
    History
It’s 1945. The Dutch Government and Royal Family take an important decision from their exile in London. They decide that the Netherlands needs an orchestra to bring pleasure and hope to the Dutch people.
Musicians are gathered from around Europe to create a modern orchestra with a fresh new sound. This is the start of the Metropole Orkest. Over the next decades, the Metropole Orkest, funded by the Dutch Broadcasting Corporation, developed a reputation as a full symphony orchestra with an integrated big band. In recent times, the Metropole Orkest has taken more responsibility for its own funding and moves forward as a dynamic and independent organisation."
    Source (Website Metropole Orkest): www.mo.nl/en/the-orchestra
"The Metropole Orkest (or Metropole Orchestra) is a multiple Grammy winning jazz and pop orchestra based in the Netherlands, and is the largest full-time ensemble of its kind in the world. A hybrid orchestra, it is a combination of jazz, big band and symphony orchestra. Comprising 52-97 musicians, it is versatile across many musical forms, and is equipped with a "double rhythm section“ - one for pop and rock, and one for jazz based music."

This was very impressive from Floor. At one point she was more belting out in a very high register without pushing too hard to sound out of place in this song. However, it pushed the song to more of a climax in my opinion. I love this about Floor's vocal choices. She always holds back something to give the song and story a big push for the finale. So many other less purposeful vocalists are ready to give you everything as soon as possible. Like the guitarist who is shredding at every opportunity to show off and fulfill his egotistical needs. Floor is a master at this type of strategic storytelling using every aspect of her vocal coloring and inflections to breath life into the words and paint the picture of the story with every color of the rainbow. A rare talent. Loved it Charlie. I will see you again very soon! Peace. 🌈🎶🎶🎶😊👍✌

oh charlie, i see you not mentioning Final Fantasy IX here. You have to check this one out! I'm sure you will absolutely love this one as an opera guy. It has so much references to classical theatre (which i know, is not the same as opera for sure, but tickles the same senses for performing classical arts ;)) and in my humble opinion, the best work of Uematsu till this day

In a similar vein Floor sang the song meant for a major spectacular attraction of the famous Dutch theme park The Efteling (called "De vliegende Hollander"), very near where she lived and her parents still do. Unfortunately because of business conflict about rights or something it was never used and another singer was hired later. Too bad, it would be nice if the recording would turn up somewhere - or at least I couldn't find it and believe me, I tried.

Another before Nightwish performance, Floor and ReVamp performing "Wildcard" at Bloodstock in the pouring rain. Unfortunately there are no really good pro-shot video of ReVamp with well mixed audio. This Bloodstock performance is the closest to having decent production values. What's cool about ReVamp is that Floor would transition from operatic vocals to pop, metal, and growls all in the same song. Might be worth a reaction:

Nice stuff! :) As for Final Fantasy, I only ever finished 7, which was so damn good back on PSX! I have started playing many of the old games but never really finishing any so far, being closest to finishing 5 and 6 I think. Got pretty far in 8 an 9, but for some reason stopped playing 9, and 8 made me irritated with the constant focus on what was it, weapon customization that you had to do to not get to reliant on magic/summons, because at one point magic becomes basically useless and that's when I stopped :) Tried 13 and was annoyed that you couldn't grind, and had to constantly switch roles :D 15 I can go back to, have it, but I don't know, it felt like so much transportation -_-; I still love the older ones though, have to go back and finish 5 and 6, and of course 4 :)

My favourite orchestral performance of video game music is a suite from Bloodborne performed by the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra with Sabina Zweiacker. And it's on TH-cam: th-cam.com/video/LzdhTGaWzec/w-d-xo.html
I think you would have something to say about that performance...
