I am a huge believer In the Qore ice vents padding. They’re awesome. I modified my velocity systems scarab shoulder pads by putting that qore material inside! They’re perfect
I’ve got the structural shoulder pads and love them, run them on my SPC, much more comfortable for me than the stock trifold “pads”. Haven’t tried them while rucking so don’t know if I’ll have a similar experience.
@@EODFish SPC. Granted. I definitely don't NEED pads with it but I picked up a pair of Crye pads for like 20 bucks for the hell of it and even those terrible ones added just enough weight dispersion to really make the thing feel like it's floating.
@@ChadCesaro lighter end of the load spectrum, I’d use the Qore on the SPC. If I had a good bit of cabling I could see stepping up just for the trifold design.
@@EODFishIf I already have an AVS with a regular harness, would I be better off having the AVS as a standalone rig and have a separate plate carrier when rucking?
This might sound like crazy talk. But how much of a clusterfuck of a process would it be to get AVS/AXL AVS harness bits into a couple of lbt 6094 plates bags? I've been toying with the idea for a while, like grabbing an AXL Micro harness, an AVS harness kit for the back and maybe having someone add the hook for the shoulder straps on the rear plate bag. Again, crazy talk, but would it be possible and viable regardless of cost?

How did I not know about these sooner? LOL. I just got them for my Whiskey Two Four plate carrier 24 amd they are the bees knees!
Hsgi are hot too. It’s like wearing negative ventilation.
I loathe the HSGI pads.
They’re turrible turrible pads. Heavy. Keep heat trapped. And don’t stay put. All the worst things in one pad

a lot of people swear by those ice vents by I tried them and hated the feeling personally just a heads up

Which PC? I’d still probably lean Qore Aero as I have never felt a strong need for much padding.

Did you continue having problems with rucking?
Yes. It’s not a break in issue. If it was tegris wouldn’t work in all its other applications.
@@EODFish I meant more of if the ideas you had on wearing the ruck straps ended up working out
hows the micro harness holding up? is it better them the Crye Harness?
My AVS hasn’t seen any use for a while. It isn’t better than the Crye but is more ruck friendly which provides better use to some folks.

Without a budget anything is possible. I don’t know what advantage that would provide over swapping to AVS plate bags though.
