    I can't wait for the weather to get nice so I can ride 10-11 miles around town. My town is small and perfect for ebike just 111 outside no clouds😂

      I live in Northern Arizona, it gets up to 113°. I'm still riding. 😮

    My neighbor got 1900 miles from his rad mini set of tires. I hate the stock knobbies, loud, paper thin, flat easily. Im getting street tires for my fat tire folder, when these wear out. Rad gives people good tires on their ebikes. I got about 700 miles out of my first set. ☹️

    I just got our Rad Mini's last week and noticed how limited the supply of new tires is. I found that checking with the other eBike companies was fruitful. I found some spare tires from Lectric for $39 ea. I needed the 20x4 tires though. Seems smart to have some spare parts on hand when everything is hard to find.

      I agree. Because of that, I also ordered spare brake pads on Amazon from Tektro. Not sure when my brake pads will need replacing, but I figure it wouldn't hurt to have them on hand now. At the time, RAD was out of stock of them, so I went to Amazon to get them. smile.amazon.com/dp/B07V2XZVJ6?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details

      By the way, I'm not going to toss away my old tires either. I'll keep them just in case I am forced to put them back on the bike while waiting for replacements again! You never know. Besides, where do you dispose of used bike tires? At a tire store for cars? I'm not sure!

      I got 2 sets of brake pads for my folder. They're generic pads, I just like having extra parts. Paranoid I guess. I love my Kenda Krusade 20x4 fat tires.

    Just rec'd my Rad Rover 5 a couple days ago, and have a total of 6 miles on it. I purchased the Tannus Tire Armor kit when I ord'd the bike. My excursions will involve asphalt trail/streets 99% of the time, but figured it would be good to have some extra "protection" from punctures. Still have not installed the Tannus kit, as I'm not dreading the front tire too much as I am having to deal with that rear tire removal, lol. 😨
    Concerning the price of those specific tires you mentioned increasing, there's a fine line between good business practice and greed, imo.

      I hear ya! When I did the tire rotation recently, I was nervous about taking off that rear tire too! The main thing is take a photo of the rear hub assembly step by step as you remove things so that you can remember how to put it back on! It's not really as bad as I thought it was going to be though. The hardest part was moving the chain out of the way with the derailleur. Be sure you are in Gear 7 when you take the tire off (the smallest cog). Watch the Rad video about tire removal here: th-cam.com/video/Mry3h0bNAQU/w-d-xo.html. Enjoy your new bike! I put on nearly 1600 miles in four months! Yikes!

      @@RussIsRight Thanks. I recently dealt with my grandsons regular bike rear derailleur to fix a flat, and invented new cuss words, lol.

      Try "Flat out".. Bolton E bikes just posted this video last week. He tested tannus Armour as well.. th-cam.com/video/-X0y-2AsGRk/w-d-xo.html

      I can arrest that taking that rear tire off is a pain. I've done it 3 times so far with my Radrover 5 having 1900 miles on it. Twice to fix a flat, and once to put a new tire on.

    I need to know Bell ringing rules, you don't ding all. Ding Ding I would think you would swap chain for fishing gear.

    • @RussIsRight
      @RussIsRight  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I ring the bell well before I get to the other people. If they don’t seem to react, I do it again. If nothing happens, I ring again while saying “On your left” as I pass. I will need my chain with me if I bring fishing gear.

      .. also don´t really understand feeling this pressure to justify riding an e-bike. that´s not "cheating", its just a decision what to use! i miself have no knee replacement, but being 69 now i got myself an ebike because i like it, enables me to drive around like 30 years ago with my mtb, and - it´s fun.
