We set out in search of a specific species, instead we got the lesser of the 2. That's totally fine because we made table fare out of this trip any way! #family
Enjoy!

It's Nice to see guys that look like Me, getting down with Fishing and Boating.👍
Very cool video!! I dont know why I have never seen your channel before. Keep up the great work! Subscribed👍👍🐟
It looked great! I am glad you are putting to the test this notion of "bad table fare" fish. Bonita is fantastic and you treated it with the love and care it needs.
Never be afraid of food! Thanks good narration
I've turned all my friends and family on to you and all the click baiters. Love watching you fellas and keep up the great work brother.
Sear the fillet and serve Japanese style with grated fresh ginger, chopped green onion and Japanese soy sauce
Awesome job
Nice to see a brother doin it he ram thang !!!
Keep it coming 👍🏽
My wife is Filipino. Her and her friends eat these fish regularly. They prepare a lot of their fish by thoroughly frying them. I will make it for her by cutting into 2 inch chunks. Leave the skin on. Just slice the fish into 2 inch sections bones and all. Coat with Salt, Pepper, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder and Ground Ginger. Fry until they have a medium dark to dark brown color. Make a sauce of 2 tbsp. of Spiced Vinegar or regular vinegar, 2 tbsp. soy sauce, fresh ginger to taste, thai or other small chili pepper cut up or cracked red pepper. Dip your fish in the sauce and enjoy. I do this with regular tuna also. The sauce goes great with any fish just fried up. Do not bother with corn meal or flour on the fish. Cook any regular flake fish like Tilapia, Bluegill, Crappie, Bonita, tuna like this and enjoy.
What a beautiful boat. That looked like massive fun! Thanks for sharing with us! Always tune into VDee!!
these are called mac tuna here in australia. caught thousands of them over the years ranging from about that size to 8 or 9 kilo. mostly spinning them on home made chromed lead slugs. used most of them for bait up until a few years ago but after watching youtube clips on how the japanese prepare them cook them pretty much the same and also eat them raw. great eating just different from traditional white fleshed fish. these are a true tuna variety ,bonito have sharp teeth almost as big as mackerel and much lighter flesh. we have several varieties here ranging from watsons leaping bonito that average half a kilo to the big dog tooth tuna . good vid interesting when you see familia fish half a planit away.
Bonita are not good unless they are bled out and fresh. Other than that bait only and very good for that. They are however fun as hell on light rigs.
I used to kayak fish off of Boca Raton/Boynton Beach. Caught plenty of Bonita. Gut them and bleed them out and keep them cool and the filets should be pink with a bloodline in the middle. Yup, tastes like tuna!!!
In the 1966 and on, we lived on Bonita. In SoCal we would catch Bonita at an average of 7 pounds and over, and the Bonita are small now. You don' put lemon any fish, and when you do, it means that you don't like the natural taste of fish.
I like that you keep the keeper's to keep the true meaning of fishing alive 🐟🎣 feeding yourself and family and the community of people who don't have food to eat and who like eating some good old fried up fish in the hot cooking grease 🍳🐟👍🎣👑👑👑. Z
You get it!
That fake money have taken the true meaning of everything out of life, and only the good people keep it alive against the fake evil people who are being a Big curse to the earth 🌎 So keep the true meaning alive over the trash cash 💵 fakes in the world 🌎😡. Z
When I was a kid and we came to Florida to go deep sea fishing, if someone caught one of those the deckhands would stick a knife in it and throw it back saying they weren't any good to eat. What a shame. It's good to see a myth get busted.
Awesome Video! I live in Navarre and work in Fort Walton Beach so I love seeing you fish all the spots around me. I keep some light tackle in the truck and try to fish whenever I get a break in work 🤙
“Set It, And Forget It”😂😂😂😂❗️❗️❗️
Ya good stuff. I been catching and tossing these away. Now I know they are good eats. It is a game changer. Thanks VitaminDee!
🙌 🙌 let’s go!! Good stuff brother
Thank you for the post.
Here in Mexico false Albacore is a great fish to eat. Sometimes called white (blanca bonita). Skip Jack??? Sometimes confused - darker meat. The Mexican approach is to make machaca with the tuna (with about anything). Takes the dark meat taste out and all the cooked verges and spices ramp up the taste.
Love it!
Yaasss Dee! That's what I'm talkin bout! Great video.....Thanks for some rainy, cold Sunday happiness for this old girl! 😁👍❤🎣
Just found this channel from Cameraman Ron popping up in my suggestions. cant get enough of your videos. Love it..subbed!!!
I’ve seen a couple guys on YT do bonito this way and they said the same thing as you, just like tuna. I’ve caught hundreds of these over the years and cut em up for bait. I’ll be eating them from now on
Bro that intro track is slapping! Great vid brotha keep em coming 💪🏼💯
I have eaten lots of Bonita. If you bleed it properly, ice it down immediately, and eat it the same day you caught it bonita is really good. Enjoyed the video !
Everyone says you can't catch fish with bananas on the boat
Bingo! 🎯 hahaha Hope all is well, brother! #family 🚀🚀🚀
-D
Another cool vid dee nice catches that Bonita looked good
New sub , you make really good videos . Bonitas are good bait for Marlin too. I've never thought to eat one but I'm going to try it out. It looked great , like Tuna Tataki ! It's funny how fish get undeserved reputations. I used to not eat Sheepshead and when I finally did I felt stupid for not eating it before. Sheepshead is awesome.
Great video Dee! Love how you did the bonita with open eyes. Just watched one with Bama and Courtney and I didn’t feel that their eyes were open for it. Keep smiling
There goes my two bros 😂....I see y'all bruh...You had my mouth watery 😂...Good job man...✌🏽❤️🎣
Little late Vitamin D for those BFT’s. Got to be there right before sunrise which means leaving the dock at dark and going thru the pass at dark.😮 great vid. Thanks for sharing 😊
Great video Dee... some good action dropping down out over those wrecks!
When I was a kid on the West coast we ate Bonita all the time fried. Have had any from around here, everyone said I’d wasn’t good.
Y’all killed it man super cool video and you guys are stars man, great team of guys man stick with it and you guys will go beyond greatness in this industry 🤩
If you got the time, grab something to eat, grab a drink, take a seat, enjoy what you see, and watch me... Mr. Vitamin Dee TV . I am giving you this intro, so please take it. Love the channel and have been subscribed ever since Brad and Ron introduced you to me. Keep up the great videos !!
I love the content! I’d love to own a boat like yours within 10 years. What’s the process of buying one and how much money should I bring to the table? 😎
We Hawaiians love the blood.
We don’t cook it
Eat it raw. (Poke)
Japanese make sashimi.
I think they don’t want you to eat it because it’s more for them.
I always get skeptical when the meat is dark red or really dark gray. This seemed to cook up nicely though.
I’m liking the way you been cooking up the fish 🐟
Love it.
Anytime someone says don't eat it...makes me wanna eat it more!!
Nice job. Subbed!!
Thanks for joining the #family John! Hope to see you more in the comments! 👋😇

Awesome video Dee. You made that BOBO look pretty tasty, might have to try one. Keep up the great work.
Always gave them away. I was out for Kings off south Padre. You have me wishing I'd tried it.
What year make and model is that boat?
Great Video, Thanks
Everyone has different flavor expectations, personally when it comes to fish I prefer oiler fish which many hate because of the fish flavor. That look perfect.
That looks delicious!
Every fish except the poisonous on make excellent table fair where prepared right.
I fish left handed and I'm a rightie, it feels natural to me.
Love seein another florida angler
Good show thanks dee
New sub here, love the channel we visit Pensacola 2 times a yr, how far off shore did you go on this trip?
6-8miles I think?
Great video as usual!
I have eaten it before. I cooked it on a charcoal grill. It was good...I just had to keep telling myself it was tuna. lol
That looks delicious! Can't wait till June when my family and I will be on vacation in Fort Morgan and try to catch some fish from the surf! We've also got a charter set up! It would be awesome if you and the clickbaiters could surf fish with us while we're down there! Love your all's videos, been learning alot about fishing the surf from you guys!
That blood line is gnarly!!!
They are fun to catch and fun to eat
Can't Believe you ate a BOO-NIT-Taaaa! Really good bait though!
I caught my first mac tuna yesterday. I had to check for myself as I hear all the time " this fish is yuk, that fish is horrible yadda yadda yadda".... cooked it pretty much the same way and it was great. Are there better tasting - yeah sure, but I could easily eat mac tuna several times a week.
Hey dude, are you selling any merchandise? Digging the hats and tee-shirts
Great video, but Tucker's fish nearly let you go at the same time he was going back😆 Gotta be careful out there.
Going off the beach in the yak tomorrow, will def try this
Loved it !!!!
Great video 💊 D..!
Looks good ! I’d try it
Another great video
Man Dee is winning 😉
Do you have to use single hooks on lures in FL
No. You can use trebles as well.
Not left handed either but i prefer the reel on the right side.
lol was looking in the comments to see if anyone corrected him 😂.
Good video dee
AWESOME! 👀
Damn Bro, it's late again. Now I'm looking in the fridge!😂 Lauren is a beautiful young woman, good luck to you both.

bonito are underrated
ITS A RIGHT HAND REEL. NOT LEFT.👍🏽 GREAT CATCH.THOUGH👍🏽🎣
Have you caught enough fish to sell
Sashimi is a good way of eating it. If not the best.
Man that looks delicious!
Next time coat it in sesame seeds, and sear it and dip it in teriyaki sauce
Cool jacket size matters! Want a t!
Awesome...Lets Goooooo
🤔 maybe ill keep the next bobo i catch. It looked good all cooked up.

It would be good if You named the lures, and equipment that You are using . Like that transparent lure hanging out of the bonito. Bonito is one of My favorite fish that I have eaten in Jamaica. Well bled, and prepared. Jamaicans can cook ! Have You tried a squidtrex ? I would like to see You work one. You have an excellent channel, and a biblical beard. You are a True Son of God. May The Most High continue to bless You My Brother.......Joshua Seven Thunders///////
Looked like Laura hated it!! 😂
She loved it, it was all over her face
Sweeeeeet boat
Nice man !
Damn! You made me so hungry.
now everone gone to be eating 'em
I appreciate your thumb nails aren't any click bait like that guy with the big dirty beard 😂 !
Lol 😂
I brine and smoke them like salmon.
I'd eatt it. Heck, I love goat. Some people don't know what good food is. Better for you than grocery store processed garbage.
Like em straight sashimi, no cooking it is really good course bleed em
Minute-and-a-half 2 minutes each side
Nice catch and cook bleed em rite eatem rite ,tight lines
Ikejeme bro.
👑👑👑👑
Maybe you were just really hungry
You can kill the fish then bleed him. His heart still pumps after his death
I feel if I bleed the fish while he’s still alive, ill get a better bleed from it. The filets from this fish were almost completely clear of any blood. Different strokes for different folks. Love the different alternative though. I may have to give your way at try! Thanks for watching! #family
-D
@@VitaminDeeTV nah you knock em out first rather than making em struggle the don't feel it the bleeding doesn't come from blood pumping from panic it comes from the heart beating which if you bonk em first will keep the heart beating than ya sever the geels and pump em through water like ya did rather than keeping em alive with any darker meat fish or mackerel
