If there was mail in the boxes and destroyed, it might change the status of destroying other people's property. The might be underage but the property damage alone should be charged to the parents as well as being put on their record. It's obvious they don't respect residents of that complex.

My mom gave us three kids each a bar of Dial soap on Halloween once we reached 10 years old! Said we were too old to dress up and trick or treat, showed us how you could write on vehicles with the soap! 😂🤣 Didn't realize at the time just how cool my mom was LOL. She told us later on when we were talking about it in our 20's that she didn't want us taking the eggs out of the refrigerator so she thought she would give us the soap as a deterrent to the eggs disappearing! Smart woman she is. Little did she know we had already been to the store and bought our own stash of eggs for Halloween tricks! 😂🤣 (Small town kids with nothing to do mentalities).

@@KIMPAKA5 I'm from a small town also, but I never did the egg thing. Some kids egged the entrance to our high school and for weeks after that the smell was so bad (even after hard cleaning) that they allowed us to use the rear and side entrances instead! So, I didn't want to do that to someone's house and have it smell like that. We usually spent Halloween at our lake house and would decorate it up and have a Halloween party with the local kids. One time when we got home, we saw someone had glued dozens of sheets of notebook paper to the side of our brick home. Someone saw our neighbor's kid (whom I didn't like) doing it, so my dad went to confront his dad. The boy confessed and not only did his dad whip his butt in front of my dad, he spent the next couple of weeks digging out dried Elmer's Glue from the cracks and crevices of our brick wall! Funny thing though, I actually felt sorry for him, because he didn't have any friends and so I helped him remove some of the glue. After that we became pretty good friends and would hang out together!

This is a federal offense. See this is the problem with society. This is where the life of crime begins. I would bet this isn't their 1st offense. This is the 1st time they got caught. How they treat this will determine the life path of these kids. The criminal justice system is in complete failure. This is not an act of kids being kids. They could have killed others around them. This is no accident. This is purposeful and thought out.

Probably just experimenting, i don't think they knew it would get destroyed like that. they probably still had some fireworks left over, woke up the next day very late because its summer and deiced to use it instead of throwing it away. it also depends on there age.
i remember being dumb as a kid, threw a fire work and it landed on a car. that wasn't my intent. i was just very young and fat w/ terrible coordination. and relied on glasses.
have them physically have a hand in the repairs and be done w/ it. they won't be so willing to destroy something, once they know the value and effort to put one together. To give them any more will just have them resent you.
