@@akuhappy3246 For me, it's basically Dustin, Steve, and Robin. Dustin is the smartest guy in the entire cast, and no one would be able to save the world without him. Steve is the guy who tries to act like he doesn't care even though he has the biggest heart in the whole group. And Robin is so bluntly honest about everything and is such a badass.

From a bully to a babysitter, what an odd but nice character development.
He was never a bully on screen at least. Jonathan deserved to have his camera broken.
He was never really a bully though, unless you’re referring to his altercations with Jonathan. When you find out that a guy’s been creeping around your house at night taking pictures of your girl, smashing his camera and belittling him is quite a natural reaction in my book.
He was more of stereotypical arrogant jock and he needed jonathan to slap some sense into him when he insulted his family. Steve had every right to break the camera tho let's be honest.
The single handedley turned the most hated character on the show into the most lovable and charismatic character on the show. And if he dies I will riot.

He was originally supposed to be a douche and be 'Billy' at least that's what I read somewhere.
But the creators loved Joe Keery so much they quickly decided to change his arc and make him into a great guy. That's why he seems to have such a drastic character change. He was supposed to be the original bad guy/douche. Then when Steve became a good guy, they needed a new baddie, so they brought in the Billy character. But I did read that Billys storyline was originally supposed to be Steve's.
Same with the Axel character in 'The Walking Dead' he was supposed to originally be a child killer, and kidnap and assault/murder Beth. You can see signs of that when you first meet him But the actor , Lew Temple begged them not to do that. So they changed it up and made Axel a good guy.
@@Lyca31 i don't think that's entirely true, he shows several good character traits in the start even with the bad ones. And then grows out of the bad ones.
To clarify i don't think he was originally meant to be a total douche. He was meant to be the sorta annoying boyfriend who wasn't totally terrible but you still don't like, who gets killed off.
@@callumprice1710 the duffer brothers said Steve was supposed to be much more of a douchebag at first and then get killed off but because they liked his actor so much they decided to make him less of an all around douche and give him character development.

This was the best character pairing in the show. Steve got a lot more likeable once you got to see his softer side, and Dustin got a big brother figure which was sweet cause he was the only one without an older male figure to look up to. Mike and Lucas have dads, and Will has Jonathan, so it was really awesome to see this pairing. While I love the Hopper-Joyce, Steve-Robin, Dustin-Erica duos, the Steve-Dustin one takes the cake for me.

To be honest, I love their chemistry more than El and Mike. It was an unexpected friendship that became one of the main reasons why I super love ST 🥰

Am I the only one who was rooting for Steve in the first season? I mean, I knew he was a jerk, but from the first scene, you can tell that he’s supposed to develop and become a good guy. Which is what happened.
But then Nancy and Jonathan got together in season 2, even though as far as I was concerned, she didn’t actually ever break up with Steve. It felt awkward, since Steve was just getting better and better in the meantime.
Nancy and Jonathan are still a good pairing though, so it worked well enough. But then season 3 came along and firmly established Steve as the best character and Nancy and Jonathan as the least interesting subplot.
Suddenly, the show decided to make the case that “too perfect” Nancy wasn’t good enough to be with this new Steve anyway, and suggested that he needed someone more nerdy.
So because Steve wasn’t good enough for Nancy, but they still wanted him to get better without them getting together, they had to make him so good that she wouldn’t be good enough for him anymore.

Actually- they were gonna have him leave before the demogorgon fight between the 3 teens vs the demo in Joyce’s house. But instead of him running to his car and driving off, they had him come back and fight. The reason of this was because the directors loved Joe Keery so much, that they wanted him to have a more significant role.

I will be honest, I liked Steve from the moment he started wiping the spray paint.
As a person that just started this show four days ago, and am saving the fourth season until July 1st, I can say Steve REALLY surprised me. This show REALLY surprised me. I wanted to dislike both the character and the show before I gave it a chance. When I finally gave both the chance they deserve I instantly fell in love lol

I recently gave this show a try and I have to say that was one of the best decisions of my life. Binge watched all four seasons in 3 days. Super hyped for S4 p2

I like how they treat each others as equal and actually learn a lot from each other too. It's also thanks to them we got Robin and Erica. Characters that are just way too cool and amazing!!
