Tell me about it, and some of the slides were just a bit off on a few notes making them sound like minor chords instead of major - glad to see they are human but I expected more.
Trombones are about the only instrument that can mimic a human singing voice and guitar riffs. I saw a group do Freebird by Skynyrd once. Sounded good.
@@crollinsphoto Could the cold have been affecting the tuning? It’s been awhile since I’ve been in an ice rink, so no idea how cold it’d be where they were playing.
I think that the leap to the high tonic typically should stick out. Many vocalists that adopt such a rendition of the anthem make a point of belting it and holding it out like a sore thumb. In fact, that high tonic is held over the word “free” in the phrase “O’er the land of the free...”. Such a musical amendment likely symbolizes a celebration and strong pride for the people’s freedom in the USA. I don’t see a reason not to be happy about living in a free country. In that case, the choir did a fine job.
Not really. Reaching that kind of range (and being able to play it with good tone quality) takes years of mastery level practice. I can play up to a D before I just end up screaming trying to hit higher, and I’m one of the top trombonists in my high school. Around 3,000 hours of accumulated practice.
I've been playing the trombone for 22 years. I was able to play the high F in high school. It is doable if you have a good teacher and live in the practice room. Staying relaxed is the key!
Nice to know that even the best are not immune to 'pinching' a note.
That high F though!!

Charles Rollins not like you’d be able to do better
@@CA-oh6rs Charles Rollins is one of the greatest living trombonists...so yes, he could do better.

One suggestion: more trombones :)
More cowbell! Great job. You have to love the "horny" sound you can get from a bone. Just can't get that sound from a trumpet.
You can never have too many trombones!!!
The most excited i've ever been to watch Hockey!! Add trombones to it every time please!
1:49 That F7 chord though
I've watched this 3 times, got the chills everytime. Well Done!
even with the crappy sound quality you can HEAR the quality of the performance
It's not crappy, there's just no reverberation at all.
The notes at the end were killer.
Damn if I’m ever gonna have the slightest chance at getting accepted I really gotta step my game up
Did you get accepted?
How'd you go? Are you a Bone-ified Juilliard student yet?
that F though
Incredible.
Love this!!!!
love this arrangement ... Well done mr Alesi
1:10 that guy just casually drinking his beer
i dont think thats beer
That's water bro
Oh is that Peter Steiner on the left side closest to Alessi?
Looks like it
I love this👋
I saw you taking a sip of your beer, guy in the crowd.
Ok
Congratulations, sounds fantastic!
Who arranged this?? It's awesome!
I guess Alessi himself
THIS WAS SO EPIC JBOJTI
excellent
Is that joe Alessi conducting
Yep, that's him. It was stated in the introduction.
Fireman and brotherhood
Nice
Go Rangers!
LETS GO!
U.S. Coast Guard Station New York!
Ugh. He cut those WAY too short. Let the notes ring!! Dude just wanted to get it over with 😂
Damn the trombones sound fire, but you really can't ignore the god awful color guard 😭
במקום שמישהו ישיר את זה, הם מנגנים את זה😆, סוף סוף, זה יותר חכם
Mmm
What an odd arrangement...
That F in 1:49 is to long, to loud and does not blend into rest of the Choir.
That's a musical option in case u didnt hear it in the chord, high notes could be held out a little longer
This guy probably didn’t like babylon

No women?
*Takes knee*
the F is pretty easy if you practice tbh
Inaru's Channel It's all easy if you practice enough. That's too broad of a statement
It's only easy if you practice it right
