Bostaph was a beast on this underrated album. Fantastic cover...
Many will disagree, but I'm a lifelong Slayer fan and this is my favourite album by them. I just love the tone on this record, the angriness..
He wasnt bad compared to lombaro, but nothing more than that
@@Zacherdio drum parts from divine intervention much more technically diffucult and more interest than most Lombardo's parts in Slayer.
Total beast. Best drummer that year for sure.
The true slayer fans know
Finally, somebody hitting it like it's supposed to be hit. No twitching, pusying around or nothing - thrash metal all the way. Subscribed.
1000% agreed mate ✌✌✌✌🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘❤❤❤❤
@@jays-place2444 ...no doubt..I've been a metal guitar player for going on 35 years and until this one every drummer I ever saw at best got it close...this ones all over it ...killing it . I'd love too hear them drums over some original guitar tracks of this style...or vice versa...
hey where's all the kneeling down and political correctness? I tell you man, nowhere. pure rock n roll, no pussying around
Divine intervention is my favorite slayer album criminally underrated…
Agreed. It was their last great album ...
Reign in blood and Divine are top! The rest is average.
@@Cannibalint3seasons >reign
Same! My fave hands down and all thanks go to Paul’s drumming, which he took it to a new level of technicality on D.I.
Edit : D.I. was underrated at the time of release (1994) because it took a back seat to more popular albums like PANTERA’s ‘FBD’ and MACHINE HEAD’s ‘BME’ which were released at the same time.
@@jasonx4008 RIB will forever be a masterpiece because of it’s pioneering contribution to the metal scene at the time of it’s release. It altered the path of all metal.
FUCK YEAH! Killing Fields was an incredible way for Paul Bostaph to introduce himself to Slayer fans.
The way you attack the drums is really awesome to watch. Amazing energy and power.
I thought this was Dittohead I might be mistaken though, the whole album is amazing in my opinion . So you can't go wrong with any track.
Killing Fields into (briefly) Serenity in Murder into Dittohead.
I agree totally. I've never understood the negativity surrounding Divine Intervention?? It's a great album and Paul absolutely kills it!
@@brettd530 Tom and Kerry didn’t like the recording process for the album and Kerry didn’t like the final mix on the album. So most fans don’t like it by proxy.
@@brettd530 Mix is terrible. Then again, Slayer had a bunch of odd sounding albums, usually Tom's bass was turned down way too low or the guitars had a weird tone.
Divine Intervention is my favorite Slayer album. Props.
Agreed. Horribly underrated. I'd love to see a remastered release.
Absolutely 100% agreed!!!!👌🏻👍🏻
RIB is my favorite but Divine Intervention is really underrated and definitely one of the best. I think I even enjoy it more than Seasons.
Seasons in the Abyss is my personal favorite but Divine Intervention is super underrated and I love that album.
No doubt, the best album, without Dave L on drums. I saw this tour n STL. It was fkn awesome!! Paul B. At the end of the concert threw his sticks n2 to the audience and they hit me n the head and some other dude grabbed em. I was pissed but oh well absolute killer concert!!
How?! Seriously, I can’t even fathom this. How can one physically have the stamina to do this? I think of drummers on tour, doing this endlessly for months....and I can’t wrap my head around it. Delta, you are an amazing talent, and a pleasure to watch. Thank you for sharing, you’ve gained a faithful subscriber.
DisplacedNovaScotian
hence why it should be a serious crime to not pay for music.
if the law won't do it right, people need to do it by shaming the shit out of other people who don't want to pay for it.
You have messenger?
Why old school metal bands often have a young session drummer touring with them...
@@gdogg3710 I played drums in a thrash band from I was 17 to 25, and the only problem I remember was the build up of heat. Some water on my head now and then solved that. Later, I lost the stamina to do it. So yea, an age thing. As you get older, you lose the ability to do a whole set at full speed.
killing fields has one of the greatest intros ever, . bostaph is a beast . do I even have to say delta nailed it. I mean comon
This dude kills everything he plays. Awsome!
You're the only drummer who performs cover on TH-cam that gives me goosebumps. As someone else has already written, I had 2-3 favorite drummers on TH-cam, now you have passed them, and you are the first on my list. Fantastic!
This dude has it all. Production, editing, amazing talent, miced up perfect & hits every last mote!!! Wow
Is one of them 66samus
I'm wondering who the fuck this guy is, this is NOT some hobby drummer, pro AF and we probably know him! The goosebumps are real!
Goosebumps, thanks that was the (English) word I was looking for
Yes, as he doesn't want us to see him, he is probably widely known.
Lifelong admirer of Paul Bostaph. Very pleased to see this chosen for such a landmark.
BenAndThat Dave is better
Dave is not that good when it comes to performing paul's parts
@@uxy1 Paul is not that good at Dave s songs either
Everybody hates on Paul. I like them both. They both bring something to the table. Divine is severely underrated. Maybe my fav album. Absolutely nasty.
Absolutely perfect cover. Divine intervention is my second favourite Slayer record after RIB
Killer!!!!
Divine Intervention Slayer’s underrated album!
But still kickass in my opinion! Fucking love it!
@@parthatha4874 It is one of my favorite Slayer albums personally, i liked paul alot more than dave tbh he was more complex and fun to watch, even though i heard a rumor Kerry wrote these drum lines before Paul came into the picture... idk
Ohmyfkn GAWD they don’t play many of the good lives probably cause Paul can’t play it tho
No joke. That album is beastly AF
I agree with my whole heart
Dittohead is a thrash metal masterpiece and probably one of the greatest drum part of all time !! Speed, precision, power... Everything at his best. Great cover 👍🤘
Bostaph is an underrated drummer.
Yeah have to agree the Song is a Gem 🤘
Killing fields and dittohead are fantastic songs in that album. Congrats you played like an alien, cool cover.
This guy is better than most drummers in famous bands
Those poor drums.
So awesome. Damn.
Dittohead, great song, great choice.
Man this dude is a bad ass mother fucker. The stamina it takes to play these songs is unreal.
The endurance to play this song is insane! 4 years later Delta and this is still one of my favorite videos you have ever made! 🤘🤘 Delta 💪 Strong!
Dave and Paul are just different. Dave gets a lot of what I would call “worship.” Paul is a legend to people who are honest.
Paul is a much more interesting drummer than Dave, who has one speed and pattern. My first exposure to Slayer was Divine Intervention so that set the mark for me. Frankly, going back to the Lombardo stuff was a slight disappointment as I listened to more Slayer. Don’t get me wrong, Lombardo set the high standard for thrash drumming and is amazing. But Bostaph is, along with Vinnie Paul, the most interesting metal drummer.
@@tommyduncan9582 I agree completely. Paul’s playing is way more modern than Dave’s.
Damn, you got every fucking hit and nuance down perfectly. I doubt Paul himself has even nailed it this well. Bravo!
Love Bostaph's double bass work on D.I. !!
One of the few drummers on YT that plays with this level of POWER. F#$% yes!
Spectacular job on this cover. Color me wowed. Subscribed!
Metal storm ! 🥁Just brilliant!! 👍
Dude. Perfect performance. Perfect tone. 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
What a beast on that kit @Delta empire
Killer! Divine Intervention is a complete Masterchief.
Brah I never get tired of this video!! He's just killing it
It’s just perfect. True form, hard-hitting, precision, accuracy and above all- feeling.
Your drum sound is immaculate!!
Speed, power, perfection... Delta is definitely among my top drum heroes like Dave Lombardo, Phil Collins, Igor Cavalera- you Sir have bumped up to #1 on my list!!
This album it’s my fav!!! Love Paul on drums !! Missed Dave but he’ll this intro was killa! I think 213 it’s my fav song from this album
Karalho, o cara e um monstro pqp. Surreal essa técnica!!! Manda mais que bem.
A transação de uma música pra outra ficou foda.
Fantastic.made me too listen the CD again.
Delta I tip my hat to you. That is some serious Drumming. Power,Speed,Timeing. You hit the hell out of the kit as well. Its built for punishment and you gave it 100%. Great to watch a Drummer blast through it. You have my respect. From beginner to excellent many a stick broke. Drum heads busted. And all that comes with Drumming. I'm playing 26 years now. So I know you understand. You kit is a work of Art. Keep the videos coming. Truly great work Delta.
Drumming is his passion, it will never be contained!!!
DYNAMIC DILIGENCE!!! FLAWLESS VICTORY!!!
This is it, a powerfull, absolutely technical and pure energy cover... 👍💪 Hats off and respect 🤘🤘🤘
You have taken viewer's visual happiness of a drummer playing in a higher level. You know that. You would easily won a tv talent show.
The bit between 2'22" and 2"39" just floors me. Im not a musician, and I have no Idea, but it sort of seems to hit my internal cadence. Im hooked hence I'm tech vids like this for a better fix..
So fucking sick!!🤘
Watching your neck snap forward on the beat ALWAYS gets my blood & adrenaline flowing.
You can't fake that. You're not just playing it, you're feeling it.
Loved Paul in Forbidden too.
*future suggestion* Twisted into Form....
I always smile when I see Delta playing a cover. Tell Delta thank you and to keep kicking ass, also I should thank you for running his channel, you do an amazing job!
Dude I love the lil ...head bash just after the final crash grab that silences the last hit. Lol .that head bash says. TAKE THAT !!!!!....LOVE IT.
He is unbelievable
this is on another level
That moment when you finally figure out how much of a beast was Paul Bostaph. Goooood daaaamn
This was my first slayer album and still my favorite!
You did a wonderful job imitating Bostaph’s tones! Spot on playing this is my favorite Slayer song and you nailed it.
That sudden stop...!
Wow! I’m just speechless, that was incredible! You’re gonna hit a million views solely because I’m gonna watch that a million times!
Love the bit of serenity in murder.
Wow this is flippin amazing. Some dude in a mask, has a virtual empire with 18,000 subscribers and records drum covers anonymously to post over youtube. I am going to buy my tickets and watch the Delta Empire world tour, playing at Wembley with 80,000 people. NOT HAPPENING!
Good drummer. No career. Just like the thousands out there.
maybe you dont know exactly who it is....
steve austin You could have made all that a lot quicker and more positive with just your third last sentence.
Drew putting out a drumming video in a mask doesn't make a good drummer. On youtube there are over 10000 drum cover videos, 500 drumming channels, and multi-multi-multi drummers. Mr Empire is one of the multiple masses. Nothing extra-ordinary.
Now let us wait for his world drumming tour.
Larry Mullen Jr is the greatest rock drummer of all time.
Thank you and have a nice day!
Damn 😳 I get chills
Omg why did u kill dittohead
I|ve no words Delta ...
You are definitlf my idol, I dream to play like that one day
This really put a big smile on my face! Nice cover/medley!!!
저기 혹시 뉘신지... 롬바르도의 드러밍을 완벽하게 재현하시네요..!!!
No words can adequately describe how fucking sensational this is.
Damn you got a workout with that 1. Well played 🙏
+Delta Empire #100... special one 😱 I was already hoping for the craziest shit to happen but you exceeded my expectations just like a metal storm. INCREDIBLE INTENSITY!!! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
The Best cover !!! Fantastic!!
Respect! Dittohead is the hardest slayer song to play on drums. I like that you actually used a part of "Serenity in murder"(IMO the second hardest song) as bridge! Awesome idea
Jesus Christ The speed of the drum playing at the very end ditto head is what caught my attention the whole fucking thing was awesome but the very end 🔥🔥🔥😳
All I can say is holy f*cking hell. I’ve never watched better drum covers in my life.
Freakin sick man. Divine is also my favorite slayer album as well
Congratulations beast!! Rock on Slayer!!
I have seen this 10 times already and still not enough. Flawless performance, incredible skills. Song is one of my favorite ones and seeing drum piece of it so close is amazing. Enjoy watching all your videos anyway. Great stuff.
Awesome !
So Awesome!
Are you fucking kidding me!?!!!? Gorgeous!!
Two of my favorite songs by slayer and best album ever!
Unfuckin real. Perfection!! I love how you pound the shit out of those drums!!!!
it's not just about playing the part. It's about attitude and power. And you fucking nail it.
Thanks so much for some Bostaph love!!! I love how you chucked in serenity in murder!! Best ever Slayer song and thrash at its absolute peak. Divine Intervention fucking rules!!!
tip toe-ing back in at 3:08... could watch that over and over.....
No me canso de ver este vídeo! Felicidades amigo! Gracias por compartir tu talento! 😎🤘🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Awesome. Dam he can play the hell out of those drums.
Amazing, exceeding everyone's expectations. Always making it seems easy. Good job.
I could watch this a thousand times, the intensity, the precision, the power, so much fun!!!!!
Yes, intensity and precision !
dude you are the first person ive ever seen do that intro completely spot on you are a boss dude.
Don't ever stop playing the game with Slayer, absolute BadAss
This is the best cover i've seen. 2 words for you............ WOW
3rd time coming back to this video... DW kit sounds killer& Delta IS SPOT ON

F**** Fantastic!! seen it for 1 week now, and cant stop! Awsome!!! (kick ass song aswell)
Incrível!! 👍🏻👍🏻
The last two seconds before the fade to black... chefs kiss
Must be Paul Bostaph monetizing TH-cam :)
Loved it bro beating the drums like they owed you money another sick drum solo glad I found your channel
Dude you are an animal. A beast of epic props. Good on you brother!!!
Amazing as usual and the finale is simply epic. Great! You and music: perfect union! 👍😊
I listen over and over (and watch over and over) the end, from 3:42 onwards. The very last seconds are such a thrill to watch and hear!
Insaneeee!!!!! You are the best man, congratz from Argentina!!!
Great performance!
4:12 OMG! Reanimate him! We still need you, masked Genius... :-(
Sick little medley,much respect
in my opinion this is the best album of Slayer,as far as drumming...and this album totally deserve a recognition on drum world.
And you did a great fucking job man, love it !
thank you
So fresh, so energetic
I've shared this I love it dude. Seriously though you have to be right around 37yrs old? own a studio. Fear Factory, Slayer, Sepultura and Pantera...yeah like 35-39. Right?
All Out Throttle Im 35 and those are all my fav bands that I grew up on 🤘🏻
Im 34 and I grew up listening to Slayer, Sepultura, Megadeth, Pantera, Death, King Diamond, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest ... I guess we are all bonded by metal. Cheers from Morocco.
The right age bracket, I think.
This lad is an inspiration.
Came here for the cymbal choke at 0:25 and brother you did not disappoint
Who the mtf hell can dislike a video like that???
