I went crazy and bought most of the lure types your showing and a bfs set up ready for the winter, here's the bomb shell, I fell about 6 weeks ago and broke my back. I'm in hospital in Glasgow doing really well, I've had surgery but I'll be in a wheelchair for the rest of my life. One of my goals is to hopefully join a disabled fishing club and get fishing next summer. I might even try for a trip to the Lake of Mentieth in a specially fitted out boat and Pike fish, so anyone reads this hook me up? excuse the pun. Thanks Fox for a great video.
Thanks, I was checking back on video's I've watched and some reason I don't get notified about replies. I think it's because I turned off the adverts on my Google settings@@leftmono1016
Thank you for watching 🙂 We wish you all the best adjusting to your new life and it’s great to see that you’re keen on continuing to fish. There are many clubs that offer great access so hopefully you’ll be out catching fish soon. Please send an email to sabbas@ratheroutdoors.com and we will sort out some tackle for you in the new year 🙂🎣 all the best from the Fox Rage team ❤️
Hi, I know you’re miles away from me! But my son is permanently in a wheelchair and we get him out fishing. If you ever want a trip “down” south or a trip to Rutland or any of the other waters that have a wheelie boat, I’d be MORE than happy to take you out 👍🎣🎣🎣 tap me up 👍👍👍
Ive just realised Ive been lure fishing for 45 years!? seems like yesterday armed with my Christmas present of a Winfield young angler solid glass 6' spinning rod, 333 reel and one spinner and one "shanny" spoon ( a copy of a toby) on the local pond. Can still catch on the vintage stuff for a bit of fun (colorado spoons with red wool tails :) )but the advancement of lures in the past 20 years has been nothing short of staggering. Light jigs and soft plastics have revolutionised perch fishing when previously it would be a small spinner and thats about your lot. Not to mention understanding of fish behaviour and fish finders etc. We really are very lucky to be fishing in todays day and age with good useable tackle being affordable for just about anyone, not to mention instructional videos like this which back in the day , you rented on VHS from the tackle shop! Great work guys, keep it up!
Thank you for watching 🙂 very true. Lure fishing has come a long way but the old faithful lures like the spinners and spoons definitely still have their place, that’s why we will continue to develop them. There’s never been a more exciting time to be a lure angler and we love to bring that excitement and learning aspect of it to social media to keep it going for future generations. We hope you sign up for future videos and keep up with our adventures 🙂🎣 Happy 2024 🥳
Another great video by Kevin Cox and fox rage. Well done to Dean Macey on his catch. On the plus side it is a local venue for me and I do fish there on my kayak 👍🏼
Congratulations Dean & Kev. From being a great athlete Dean has become a great Angler and those idiots who picked on him when he was a youngster must hate how successful he is. Such a nice fella as well.
Thank you for watching. Literally first time meeting each other and filming and they did so well. Not to mention the pressure of catching for the cameras. We’re very fortunate to have awesome anglers and equally amazing people like Kev and Dean on our team 🎣🙌🏼 don’t forget to subscribe for more 🎥
Love watching these fox vids & love seeing the adverse comments too …. Great to see mr . Macey giving it a go too….. top bloke he is 👍👍…. love perch fishing and just ordered a new fox ul rod and going to give it a bash on the canal near Leeds next week. Would rather be on the river but the rivers up ere have been up lately and more rain forecast so no doubt will come up again. All the best and merry Xmas and let’s hope some more new gear comes out next year for them stripeys 👍👍😄😄🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣
Thank you for watching, yes plenty of new gear on the way as usual 🙂🎣 we never stop! Make sure you’re following on our social media for all updates on new videos and tackle. Happy new year 🥳
Great video. More info on technique than the standard use this rig 'Oh look I've caught ' videos. Excellent information. I do prefer the spikeys excellent bait. Still struggling with creatures, it's only a matter of time. My technique I'm comfortable with, just need to sort out a few things. Cheers guys 👍👍
Thank you for watching and we’re glad you found it useful 🙂 keep at it with the creature baits 🦞your persistence will definitely pay off 🤞🏻all the best and Happy New Year!
Thank you for the video, I am very new to predator fishing, having fished the last 60 years for sivers, carp etc I am so well in to this now, been out 3 times and caught nothing, however what I have learnt from your instruction has given me the confidence to continue trying. I am kitted out with the Fox Warrior range as it was in my price bracket being a pensioner, should I get hooked I will upgrade my kit when finances allow. Thanks again guys, tight lines. John
I’d love to have a go at some perch fishing but every time I’ve caught them, the hook is so deep. Pretty sure I’ve damaged one or two so I stopped altogether. It’s probably confidence but these videos always make unhooking a deep set look really easy and quick.
As a person new to lure fishing im really struggling to tell what a bite feels like as ive carp and matched fished for the past 20 years, but i really enjoy lure fishing
I prefer a Cheb as it keeps the bait keeled better than a Texas. But that’s the only reason! Obviously you lose the free/lightness of the lure, but just my preference for my style of fishing 👍
Unfortunately for us mere mortals, from west sussex, are not blessed with having a nice boat , living in such a great location, where there are prolific waters. Stocked with numerous species of fish. Not having the time to drive to waters where I can lure fish is a big problem for me. That and my various health issues. Thats why I have to resign myself to watching TH-cam lure fish videos and dream . Hahaha
As a guide, size 4 or 6 for the Micro Critters, size 2 or 1 for the 7cm Critters and for the 9cm ones you’re looking at a 3/0 or 4/0. This also depends on the shape of the hook you’re using.
Thanks for watching 👍🏼 Most of the perch were caught right off the bank in the slack water where it would have been better to bank fish, but this wasn’t possible there. As long as you have good bank access to areas with similar features then you can have a great opportunity to catch. We try to mix up the venues and styles but many principals can apply to both bank and boat fishing 🎥🎣

My wife was in intensive care at QEUH Glasgow recently, so much better than our hospitals in England.

Dean Macey must have the biggest wardrobe full of every brand of fishing coats and baseball caps. 😂
A collection to be proud of 🎣😀
@@FoxRageTV too right, and luckily for him, Mo Farah isn’t into Fishing.
What were the gloves / mittens that Dean was wearing please? Tight lines.
He was wearing Sealskinz gloves and also had some pocket warmers for an extra boost 😂🔥🎣
Why does Kev prefer a Cheb over a Texas. I can’t imagine a scenario where I’d prefer a cheb over a Texas rig tbh
I prefer a Cheb as it keeps the bait keeled better than a Texas. But that’s the only reason! Obviously you lose the free/lightness of the lure, but just my preference for my style of fishing 👍
Kev is a wizard
We tried to keep it a secret 🤫 🧙♂️🪄 😂 Thanks for watching and happy new year 🥳🎣

Gingernuts and tea is tasty !
Always 🙂🫖🎣
what size offset hook do the lads use for the uv creature baits at 5:24?
As a guide, size 4 or 6 for the Micro Critters, size 2 or 1 for the 7cm Critters and for the 9cm ones you’re looking at a 3/0 or 4/0. This also depends on the shape of the hook you’re using.
@@FoxRageTV that's great, thanks guys!
Where is it u are fishing.
It was introduced at the start of the film 🧐 the beautiful Norfolk Broads 🎣
Sorry must have missed it.
Should be called river perch fishing from a boat. I'd guess 99 percent of us don't have access to a boat which changes the fishing massively.
Thanks for watching 👍🏼 Most of the perch were caught right off the bank in the slack water where it would have been better to bank fish, but this wasn’t possible there. As long as you have good bank access to areas with similar features then you can have a great opportunity to catch. Look up Norwich and District Pike Club, we have access to 20 fishing boats around the broads, many members use them for holidays.
You really do need to be afloat to get the best out of the Broads.
I thought dean macey works for korum avid?
Great vid though!
He does 🙂 and also Fox Rage 🎣 Thanks for watching and happy new year 🥳
Nice video.... Shame about the camera work.
Thanks for watching 👍🏼 which bits of camera work didn’t you like?
Looked fine to me
Bfs batter
Really? 🤷🏻♂️😂
The days of winding flashing gizmos attached to shrapnels are gone, STOP IT!
Have they? 🤷🏻♂️
What’s he talking about???
christ your fishing for a predator rod reel line or bait dont make no difference
Really❓🤷🏻♂️
So you've obviously never done it then!!!!
There’s always one! 😂
