      I fully and totally agree. Life is truly a pointless exercise in suffering. All I feel is empathy for us all, suffering terribly and for what? Even the happiest folks will find some sort of extreme pain/grief/etc.
      And I'm happy to say I'll soon be out of this awful place due to the (very )terminal illness I've been "gifted" with. I can only speak for myself but I say: "Thanks Life, for the unspeakably awful experience".
      Dead and gone I shall be.👍

    When I first started youtube I titled a video called, "Life is meaningless. I want to die" Surprisingly it is my number 1 watched video. People really seem to relate to it. It kind of saddens me because I put quite a bit of focus on advocacy for mental health. You may or may not agree with me but I feel life is only meaningful if you put effort into exploring that meaning. Putting the effort for curiosity and support. And it really sucks when you are depressed because you absolutely don't want to do anything and blame life for not going your way. I don't get a lot of views but I thought I try to reach out and comment because I am sure like the rest of my audience they look up life is meaningless or I want to die. I have several youtubers saying they want to die, that money rules the world and run by work and nothing else. I appreciate your outlook on life but I do hope in the end you can find meaning and remain enough to be willing to stay alive and push through. Kind regards,

    In short, We must be able to evaluate, getting to the very core of everything here that life has to offer us. From The earth, climate, human design, to the way the controllers have set up the way we live, complete with so much negativity and suffering, and it's easy to see we're being (at least) challenged every step of the way! Two of the worst characteristics of the human is their inability to see this and the few who see this choose to never unite to make life better!! Obviously all designed, no doubt!!

    • @kennythelenny6819
      @kennythelenny6819 ปีที่แล้ว

      I do not think it is possible to make life 'better' since it cannot separate itself from nourishment and propagation. These two characteristics constitutes the backbone of all suffering of living things on this planet. The sanest, most rational thing we can do at least as the living species with the highest intelligence is to take ourselves out consciously and leave life on this planet to plants and the other animals. However, even with that, given enough time, the will will just force itself to evolve into other species with similar or superior intelligence and the cycle continues; it is obsessed with differentiating and consuming itself and i think it is because of boredom. You can see this in the vastness of space and the unforgiving nature of time.

Another one of my professors said depressives are usually right with regards to the facts, only not with regards to their own feelings about them. Though the definition of what is the "right" attitude towards something, in the sense of "functional", is often closely linked to survival and thus evolutionary viability. If you reject engaging in that game for rational reasons, what can be considered "functional" can change quite a lot.

      That's a bold statement, since that philosophy can easily follow from Buddhism's core assumption of life being suffering, and even early Christianity had antinatalist tendencies, given that they expected the return of Christ and then the end of the world to arrive in the somewhat near future. I see some people call Schopenhauer the first Western Buddhist - maybe that's a fairer assessment (including his statements about asceticism).

      @@TheFracturedfuture Yes, modern-day Christians certainly are. The early ones, however? Not necessarily if you believe the end of the world is nigh. I wonder if there are any antinatalists among Jehovah’s Witnesses, for example 😂…

      @@cosmicprison9819 The acts of antinatalism are never practiced by anyone in the whole Bible. "Be fruitful and multiply," is commanded by the god of the Bible, that's the complete opposite of antinatalism.
      If some modern day Christians are antinatalists it certainly isn't because their religion commands it, it's probably more of a financial problem.

      TheFracturedfuture I'm not here to defend Christianity, and in fact I was arguing the other way round: I was saying that some early Christians had antinatalist thoughts, and by "early" I mean "right after Jesus's death", i.e. still before the Bible was compiled 2-3 centuries later. They were expecting their supposed "savior" to return soon, and then there would be the day of judgment. 😉 When that didn't happen, though, Christianity started turning more and more "back" towards the material realm... which reached its pinnacle in Calvinism, I would say. That's about as materialistic and as far removed from the original "preacher of poverty" as it can get.

      No it won't. The Bible is mostly made up. There is no God, he is too weak to help now if he does exist. We don't need a better tomorrow or next world we need answers. Why are we here? Where do we come from? What's going on? There is no archaeological evidence of Jews living in Egypt or leaving Egypt. There are no historical records of Jesus Christ in Roman history just the Bible, which proves he was a made up character. The books of the Bible contradict themselves, and they don't give proper guidance, they just force people to prepare to die and go to a fake paradise, they don't prepare you for life. Christianity is a fake illogical religion. God isn't real. People are just too scared to face the reality of reality so they cling to imaginary things like religion. But the truth is, there is no God. Only a stupid pointless flawed reality with no answers or reason for existing.
