And there're reasons for that.

- You could become the owner of a historic private island on one condition: you have to restore the fort situated on it.
- People typically associate private islands with some sort of tropical paradise. But Canada’s McGibbon Island is nothing like that. Perhaps that explains the super low price tag of 30 grand.
- Welcome to a tiny island off the coast of Tasmania, Australia. This offer is open only for couples, and both partners should be equally eager to go to the island.
- Ōkunoshima Island lies approximately 2 miles off the coast of Japan. From 1929 to 1945, there was a chemical weapons plant on the island that produced poisonous gas.
- Dubbed "Battleship Island" because it looks like an old half-destroyed battleship, Hashima is located about 9 miles away from Nagasaki. From 1887 to 1974, there was a profitable coal mine on the island.
- Located in Venice, Italy, Lazzaretto Nuovo is also open for tourists but home to nobody. In 1468, the island became a quarantine area for ships that approached the city. This move was meant to protect Venice from the plague.
- Jaco Island belongs to the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste. This island looks like the picture of true paradise: lush green trees, crystal blue waters, and white sand. But his place is uninhabitable.

I would live on the island with the bunnies. I eat them and make numerous. Delicious recipes I also breed them and once they get past the cute stage......I either bake boil or fry them at least you would never run out of food.... They have become expensive to buy at our local butcher.....

I backpacked years ago by myself. Actually, I was backpacking staying in youth hostels picking up work as I went. You can go days on a bus and see, nothing. And in Brisbane I remember the nets in the ocean trying to keep out the BOX JELLYFISH. So swimming ain't safe either, these little suckers attach themselves to you and cause a heart attack. Must use white vinegar to get the stinger out. Then they have huge crocodiles on our way to Cape Tribulation. Pouring rain and the tour bus sliding in this red soil like clay, sure didn't help when our guide said, *"If you look over the edge in the tree's, you can see motor bikes, and cars that go off the road with this kind of rain"* Then we got stuck up there for 3 long rainy, and I mean pouring none stop, praying to be rescued. 😂

That island in Nova Scotia. I need groceries, and taking the boat, I guess once a month with supplies wouldn't be so bad. It would be secluded, and probably boring, but it would actually be awesome, and I live like that now anyway.

Imagine you can live on your own private island, so you didn't need to worry about traffic, neighbours, ect. Just you, your family and the beautiful nature around your house. 😊 With electricity, satelite tv and internet access, it would be beautiful for sure, I think! 😏
Don't forget air conditioning and heating. A waterless hot water heater would be great too. Along with a big set of Windows to enjoy with your hot bath. Preferably one way window coatings too. You wouldn't want the neighborhood squirrels to spy on your bath.

I tried to go to Hashima Island March 2019. It is now a UNESCO site and civilians are not permitted on it. You can purchase boat trips to and around it, weather permitting.

I grew up in Baltimore where Fort Carrol is. You are not supposed to but you can get on the island. I have been on it a couple times when I was younger.

The private island off Tazmania sounds like it would be a great place to live (but six months might be a bit much), especially if it was just my wife and I. We would drive each other nuts. I'm sure we can get a satellite phone, at least to use in the event of an emergency.

The 'Canada has too many islands for sale' thing is true, I live in northwestern Ontario and I have an Aunt and Uncle who own an island, it is in the middle of a huge lake and there are thousands of other islands but it is nice. Just wish there wasn't so many leeches.

Yes I know my cats would eat the birds but they are strictly indoor only. Plus I would have my living area surrounded by some kind of secondary cat proof fencing or something. Just in case they got out.
Not to mention my cats are kind of small. A seagull is just as big as them.
I have homework for you: Watch the movie "The Birds", directed by Alfred Hitchcock. It might give you a fair idea of how good your plan is to live surrounded by birds.

@@sebastianortega1938 I forgot about that movie. I could see the wires on some of the fake birds and the movie still creeped me out. I think I'll just stick with feeding the bus station birds popcorn. Although one caught a bug inches from my head one time. That tiny sparrow or Finch startled me.

you can use the Roman concrete since that would be more quieter than modern concrete. Though not sure how to destroy the old building or do you just build some of the concrete in spots that is missing because of withering.
Bring some bird's food and give them somewhere further. So that u can demolish that old fort. Might as well build a large birdcage. Dont worry about ur cat might scare the bird. In fact ur cat would be scared of them. Obeserving by seagull behaviour..
