When this song came out, my best friend (who is like a sister to me) just had an aneurysm and was in a coma. They eventually pronounced her brain-dead and pulled the plug. This song (and Whitney) holds such a special place in my heart. 🙏

This episode destroyed me and I was only in 6th grade when it came out. The idea of losing a parent is just as terrifying in my 20s as it was as a tween and I’m so glad this show, while silly, was willing to deal with such tough issues because people really do deal with them! And amber just crushed this, her voice is somehow both lovely and lulling but also FULL of power and strength. What an absolute queen.
