This is one of the best dark ambient CDs I've heard, and I've heard a lot! I'd rank this with some of Lustmord's better efforts, but also Inade's mind-blowing opus "Aldebaran."

Could someone whose wiseass response won’t be to tell me to look on Wikipedia explain to me what, if any, connection this music has with the group Coil ? Knowledgeable music lovers are a lot more interesting and informative to me than Wikipedia. Even if it’s the exact same members I’m curious about what their intent with this particular project was. The music is absolutely brilliant and very dark indeed. A different kind of beauty as the Virgin Prunes called it.
I think they are unrelated. Zoät-aon is a one-man project from Finland, mostly associated with Aural Hypnox label. I might be wrong since I don't know so many details about Coil.
They're not related but I won't be surprised if Jaakko turns out to be at least a bit influenced by Coil. But in any case, I'd urge you to check out other projects he has been involved with, particularly I.corax, and other Aural Hypnox-related projects like Arktau Eos, Halo Manash and Dolorian. The last one is doom metal.
