Hi Nicole. If I only watched one Vlogmas yours would be it! Your Vlogmas episodes are a charming, peaceful, and inspiring version of your regular podcasts and watching them with my first coffee of the day is a joy. I love the Orkney quilt, and although I have not quilted before I am inspired to give this a go in the New Year when all my gift knitting is completed! Thank you for sharing your precious vacation time with us all. 🎄

Hi Nicole, you wouldn't believe how much I look forward to each of your vlogs ... they are so varied and interesting. As a lifelong devotee of W. Morris, I loved this one ... that shop is amazing and your quilt is really beautiful. Thank you for all this relaxing entertainment and I hope you are enjoying making the vlogs as much as I'm loving watching them! Bye for now from Yorkshire x

Dear Nicole. I so enjoy spending time with you during the winter season, seeing your projects and a bit of your every day life. It seems that winter crafts and traditions are similar in Canada and Denmark where I live. Enjoy your time off 🤩🤩

The lap quilt is so pretty and I think you did an excellent job since this is a newer craft for you. What a great long term project and I hope you take us along on the journey. Loved seeing the shop - it would be so hard to choose with all the fabric options.

Nicole, I was delighted to find today's edition of your Vlogmas as I sat down with my morning coffee. Turns out your Vlogmas has become my favorite one this year. You have done an amazing job of offering a potpourri of themes and thoughts for the season, all so refreshing. So when the rain passes later today, I'll be off to the library to find "The Hobbit" and a book or two that you pointed out while visiting Paisley Quilts. Until tomorrow ...

I love the quilt, especially the navy. My family are all big quilters (maritimes) and I’ve always be drawn to black and navy in them, just pops! Good on you for hand quilting, so many are taking them in to have them done on long arm. Personally I find quilting by hand just as therapeutic as knitting. I have a charcoal drawing of my Grand Mother sitting in a quilting bee with the ladies from her church and I still have quilts in my cupboard and I treasure them as she’s long since passed.

Thank you so much for sharing the quilt pattern which I have now downloaded and I've got loads of small bits of William Morris fabrics so this is perfect! I think I might have to make mine into a Hobbit blanket as well, what a wonderful idea. There are some incredibly inspiring William Morris houses to visit in the UK if you get the chance. Especially Kelmscott Manor, a great place to visit from an aesthetic and political point of view. xx

Such an interesting vlog Nicole and so relaxing. I read LOTH when I was 18 years old, many many years ago and loved it. It’s the best trilogy of books I’ve ever read. There is a quilting shop about 20 minutes away from where I live and they do workshops which I’ve fancied going to for a while. Now you’ve inspired me and so I may try it out. Your quilt will be beautiful. 😊🌟🎄🧶🇬🇧

Thank you Nicole for these wonderful videos. I absolutely love your quilt idea and I’m sure a big part of the magic is imagining all of the motifs and revisiting Middle Earth in that way. Also I wanted to recommend another evocative series to you - the Winternight Trilogy by Katherine Arden. Oh gee let me take a wild guess as to what came home with you… a Yoko Saito book?
I absolutely love all of her book. Her colour pallet, her whimsical patterns for houses and bags and quilts. Her choice of taupes make all her projects so beautiful!
I may be the only person on the planet who has never seen Lord Of The Rings, so your quilt will be interesting for me to see evolve. Your piecing is beautiful but I would expect nothing less from you having seen your knitted projects. Your mystery projects… my first guess was a small rug but I also have considered a scrappy Afghan/blanket.
    Happy December 7th
