What a great job,it just shows what you can do with a little plan, preparation, and a purpose in mind.Really enjoy watching your videos, looking forward to the next one
Hey David, thanks for the positive feedback! The plumbing really comes in handy haha. I recently made a new blind out of a 1,000 gallon water tank and I’m loving it. Best of luck to you as well this season 👍🏻
The blind is easy to put up and take down. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxvlQxmcZQzSQSYbJsEgAGvG2DaduKTV99 As a female hunter, the ease of placing and setting up the blind is a plus. It’s more of a wind barrier than a warm quilted blind. Which makes it a lot lighter than our quilted blind. I enjoyed the larger windows/openings. Made for a successful season. It has held up well for the first season and the stitching looks good.
this is by far the best set up for little cost good job man. youve given me a few good ideas for my next stand, keep up the great work and happy hunting\
Hey thanks so much, Reaping_Rager. I appreciate the positive feedback! Here are a couple more of my blind builds if you are interested th-cam.com/video/gJ_4Sr0GdpA/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/qeKQ0TlumRU/w-d-xo.html
Well .... post Covid.... these little jewels in my area are now fetching in $100 a PIECE range!☝️🙄... that $200 will go a LONG way on new supplies!!!. Maybe I’ll get luck and find some cheaper!!!. Great idea indeed ☝️👍👍!!
Hey Campbell73, thanks for checking out my channel! Holy smokes! At those prices you’re better off building one of these: th-cam.com/video/gJ_4Sr0GdpA/w-d-xo.html - a much easier build and much more room. Best of luck this season 👍🏻
I made one 5 years ago. i used it every year. but up here in Saskatchewan it gets really cold, so you have to run a heater constantly in there, and just a tiny window to hold your heat. Then i found it sweated and dripped on you, needed to put insulation on top and box it in. The worst though is that it is cramped and hard to spend 5-6 hours in
Hey TheSkinKing, thanks for checking out my channel! Yeah, these things definitely don't offer a lot of room! That's interesting that you've insulated it further (I put some spray insulation in any cracks and connections). I bet it helps in that super cold up north!!!
Hey thanks for watching! I’d probably skip the wheels and just drag / haul in place. I haven’t had any trouble with snow and it’s been out there a few years at this point.
Hey thanks for watching! I’m not sure it would hold up so well without the metal. If you wanted just plastic, I’d go with a bigger water tank and cut windows and a door out of it (I have a couple videos on that design as well).
Hey Cole, thanks for checking out my channel! I’d have to take some video in November as the stand is around 5 hours away. I basically cut the plywood to fit and installed hinges in the aluminum frame and door (then added the sliders for the window)
Hey Nathan, thanks for checking out my channel! Hook me up and hit subscribe, if you could! I got the molding for the plexiglass window from Home Depot. Here is a link to product: www.homedepot.com/p/Stabilit-855-1-4-in-x-1-3-8-in-x-96-in-PVC-Composite-White-FRP-Divider-Moulding-10002-ZW096CB/205347156
Hey Steven, thanks for checking out my channel! Hook me up and hit subscribe if you could! Check out minute 1:10 of the video. This shows how I cut both totes. I cut the bottom plastic on one tote and the top plastic on the other. I kept the valve for the bottom, so I could run the piping to the ground and kept the top screw piece as the very top of the blind.
Hey Michael, thanks for checking out my channel! Hook me up and hit subscribe, if you could. I was walking through the moulding aisle at Home Depot and found something that I thought would work. It was something like this (maybe even this exact item): www.homedepot.com/p/Stabilit-855-1-4-in-x-1-3-8-in-x-96-in-PVC-Composite-White-FRP-Divider-Moulding-10002-ZW096CB/205347156
Great idea. May I suggest hooking the end of the urinal pipe to a container and seal the connection..when you leave the stand take the container with you, you don't really want to put your human piss scent around your deer stand.

Thanks so much Southern Preacher! I appreciate the support 👍🏻
I did the exact same thing w the plumbing on a hard side blind last yr. That is a great shack! Well done. Good luck this season.

Hey thanks for watching! It’s definitely only big enough for one person (and not a big person)

Hey Off the Grid Adventures! Thanks for checking out my channel!
How many cans of paint ? And also did you paint the inside?
Hey David! Thanks for checking out my channel. I believe I used a total of five cans or so for this build and yes, I painted the inside black👍🏻
@@mountainbuck nice thanks i’m getting started on mine this week
@@HangImHigh That's awesome man! Here is a full build video that might help th-cam.com/video/qeKQ0TlumRU/w-d-xo.html
Best of luck!!!
Nice i like the urinating thing i would use something like that
Hey thanks Tony! I appreciate it!
I’m gonna get a porta John thanks for the idea
Hey Eddie, thanks for checking out the channel! I thought of that too! Great idea!!! 👍🏻
Might just be the best idea yet! Being able to sit in my office, and take out a deer at the same time?! Count me in!
another awesome idea
Thanks again!
I got a couple stands like this. We stacked 3 of the metal outside of them and on the top one I used the plastic piece for the blind
Nice! That’s interesting!
Nice job man 👍
Thanks, Ruben! Much appreciated 👍🏻
Very cool man.
Thanks BT! Appreciate the feedback!
Great job.
Thanks so much! I appreciate it 💪🏻
@@mountainbuck I have been thinking about doing this. Lucky me, I found your video. Once again, awesome job.
I have a more detailed version in case you are interested. Thanks again👍🏻
Love it!
Thanks billy19461! Appreciate the feedback!👍🏻

How big are the wheels and did you mount them to the metal frame? Anything over the roof? Wondering if snow would be too heavy at times
Hey thanks for watching! I’d probably skip the wheels and just drag / haul in place. I haven’t had any trouble with snow and it’s been out there a few years at this point.
Can these be build with out the metal cage? And why do u need the cage?
Hey thanks for watching! I’m not sure it would hold up so well without the metal. If you wanted just plastic, I’d go with a bigger water tank and cut windows and a door out of it (I have a couple videos on that design as well).

Hey thanks Raymond! I appreciate it!!
Could you do or show a video on how the door was made and framed?
Hey Cole, thanks for checking out my channel! I’d have to take some video in November as the stand is around 5 hours away. I basically cut the plywood to fit and installed hinges in the aluminum frame and door (then added the sliders for the window)
5:15 - Where did you get the pieces of molding for the window? Where could I purchase something like that?

Did you cut the top off both of the plastic part of the totes

Awesome!
Thanks guys!
The cage can be unscrewed from the base negating the need to cut it.
Thanks for the heads up! I appreciate you watching and for the info👍🏻

How much room do you have to move around
Not much room at all. If you’re a bigger dude, it probably won’t work for you.
