- Completely quitting alcohol is one of the best decisions in life.
It changes a person completely. I went through it and I know how it feels. This year I’ll celebrate 6 years of 100% Sobriety.
However, life without alcohol isn’t worse, or even better. This life is completely different.
In this video, I explore the most significant benefits I discovered when quit alcohol.

Great video. Day 12 sober for me. I have quit lots of times in the past. I quit for over a year one time. This time feels different though. I am feeling very good about the process, and excited for the future.
Great decision, keep going!
I pray for the day I don't have to use a substance to keep my shit together. I'm not in a good place in life and haven't been for a couple years. But the fact I'm probably at my true lowest point right now and NOT drinking like a fish compared to how I was not even 3 years ago? I'd call that at least a half win. This is the second video of yours I've watched. Thank you for making these. Their a reminder not to go back into the deep end.
The way you are talking about soberity is truly appreciated.
Im on day four. Thank you for the motivation.
Keep going man!
Of all the sobriety videos ive watched since quitting, this is the one that clicked the most, especially when it comes to perception of the world outside of drinking. Im glad I found this, thanks for making this
Thank you really much!
Thanks for the video Nik :) you are helping alot of people
thank you great video
Thank you for another great video, I would like to share some personal thoughts... #4 Seems to be a highly underrated point I feel many people don’t appreciate. I’m still in the early stages of my journey (just under 2 months) however I am noticing my brain is functioning considerably better.. New ideas are popping into my brain so frequently i have to pull my phone out and note them down to review / expand on when I can get the chance (WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT?!)..
At this stage I am truly enjoying the process/journey of this “curse” (sounds a bit dramatic but it really feels like i have been cursing myself for 10-15 years of my life) being slowly lifted from my body and mind.
I look forward to your sleep video as I have a condition called “parasomnia” mainly causing problems with my REM sleep/often I will abruptly wake up during the first couple hours of trying to fall asleep.. I used to drink wine in the evenings to “calm my mind down” and “help” me fall asleep easier…. For years I knew the irony of this that I had to poison myself to help me fall asleep, even hearing people say having a glass of wine before bed can be helpful? Regardless of the person it will still cause disfunction in their sleep whether they know it or not!
Truth!
I've never been addicted to alcohol and my life sucks.
Like your video. Your 'before' is exactly like me now. Bloated, overweight, sluggish. Looking forward to what is ahead but with some trepidation.
You can do it my friend! Like I said, and always say, if I could do it, so can enyone else. I was so lost and wasted, but I found the way. You can find yours.
5 months into sobriety after 32 years of drinking. Peri menopause means i still feel like I have a hangover every morning SO whilst I havent felt any physical benefits my mental benefits are there, more creativity and empathy to name just two. Also weight loss which can only be a good thing🎉🎉🎉 I struggle to get to sleep aswell and use magnesium and herbal tea like valerian.
bro all i hear is " niko Bellic" Gta 4
"being a boozy" haha I giggled at that part. Love from Bosnia. Good videos
😀
Kindly guideline me...I have been sober for the last and half years then relapse multiple times... please help me. I'm unable to break the chain 😢
I quit for a year and didn't notice much. If anything I felt worse.
We're you a big drinker though or once on awhile?
@@jamiethomas8975good question, if you're just a dry drunk that is abstaining from alcohol without replacing it with something meaningful then you will just be bored.
Did you ever relapse?
Since I quit completely 6 years ago I didn’t consume even a drop of alcohol living a completely sober life.
