The module in the original W740 was different to the 3231. It had a trimmer capacitor for example. 😊

Im wearing W740,and what I liked about is...while in stopwatch mode or timer mode it still showed the main time above it.

Yes, a very useful function. And its somewhat more visible here than on the basic g-shock's screen.

If you hold down the upper right button for a few seconds, a little star symbol appear there. Which indicates that the flashing alert is ON. So everytime the watch is beeping, the backlight is flashing.

It can't display CASIO on the screen, only f91W-s (and other variations of that model) can do that.

The W 740 looks a bit like the W-86!

Yeah it's the bigger brother of the w86. Even the strap-designs are similar.
