Seiko 5 SNXF05 & Casio WS-1500H - Double Unboxing & First Impressions
I've came back from a long break, with a fishing-gear watch and an oldschool Datejust-style Seiko automatic. Note: I found the instruction manual booklet for the Casio after I finished shooting the video.

Just my non-scripted personal insights on this cheap, but proper ISO certified diver watch. Also compare it to the Seiko SRPK17. My English is bad as usual, the thoughts are all over the place. Much ❤️ for this piece 😮
does this watch can mark the laps passing 60 minutes on the chronograph mode or just restarted to 0 again?
I don't know. I haven't tried it.
I think the green one is the best looking F-91W. Got one yesterday. Costs almost same as the original F-91W in my country.
@@racecarjonny8460 yes, there is not a big price difference between the two anymore in my country (Hungary) as well. Enjoy yours!
Happy birthday man
@@Alasfoor1012 Thanks!
Can i wash me hands with this model on?
Im thinking on buying my first automatic Watch, Im looking at the seiko 5 snk381k but ive done some research and it has the 7S26 movement so Im not sure if i should get it. Im a college student and dont make make many movements on a daily basis other then walking to different classrooms. I really love the look of the Watch but Im concerned that if i buy it ill be a slave of having to wind it daily. What do you recommend i should do?
@@JimenezMed You could wear it without a problem. The rotor winds in both directions, so as your only daily watch it will run constantly. Doesn't necessary require an active lifestyle. Sometimes you could shake it a little bit to get it fully wound. The accuracy is not that good for 7s movements, but it will be somewhat better if you wear it regularly. You could easily set it after a few days anyway.
Where was it made? Since it doesn't say "Made in Japan"
It's the global K1 version so it was probably made in China or Malaysia. My SNK381 Seiko 5 came with a "Made in China" sticker on the caseback, so lots of the Seiko 5's were made there, while the somewhat higher tier Seiko divers like the discontinued SKX and the modern turtles came from the Malaysian factory.
LOve it
Perfect
Have you swam with these?
@@Metal_Meltdown and also doing calculations underwater, sure thing.
the green looks great! good luck with your channel! subscribed!
@@cj80gdi-321xxx-moon Thanks, I really appreciate it! Currently I'm on a long break with this channel (and also with buying watches in general), but planning to do some updates.
@@at1m6nnit can get addictive :)
I have it since last October. It's my absolutely favourite casual-beater-sports watch ever and despite my attachment to vintage dress watches, this Citizen would be my only watch if i had to cut down my collection.
@@TheGrenadier97 I have a similar attachment to this model. It's one of my top2 watches in my big collection besides my vintage casio marlin. Both of them are 'do it all' timepieces, so the best candidates for a one watch collection for me.
How to show C4510 character in this type?
It can't display CASIO on the screen, only f91W-s (and other variations of that model) can do that.
@@at1m6nn thank you so much
Thanks! These notes of yours made me not bu dbc-611 and enjoy ca-53 that I already have. If they reissued it in stainless steel and added a bit of WR I would probably buy it, but that much money for silver resin case, no thanks!
I am glad that I could helped with your decision. Against the lack of durability I still recommend the dbc-611 as a collectors item, or a piece to wear occasionally, Overall nothing looks like this watch, and it has interesting menue and functionality.
I love mine on a khaki canvas strap!
Hi, what size of your wrist?
Between 6.5 - 6.7 inches (17cm), depending on the weather.
@@at1m6nn thanks
Is it 18 mm?
Yes, it is.
Is it pins and collars or regular pins?
It has regular pins.
That's a stunning example of a marlin, really love the condition of that. It's a watch to wear with pride, a well preserved golden era Casio that will serve you well!
Thanks! I've been wearing it all week, I couldn't think of a better watch for every occasion. It also adds some specialness and timetravel factor.
Is it a hair pulling bracelet ?
No, it's not. A very comfortable bracelet overall.
@@at1m6nn thanks for reply
It is a joy to look at. Will be wearing mine a lot along with my DW291, a fine later incarnation.
I love everything about this model. One of my main summer watches.
I got one last week numbered in 8 thousand range. Can't tell you the exact number because i had to send it back to be fixed as the hour marker does not align on the hour. Think maybe watch sellers who buy and hold till Seiko Boutique finally sell out.
That's an easy fix, but still embarrassing (the extra waiting time, opening a brand new watch...etc.). I only had that issue with my old quartz analog casio, but I've never seen that at any of my automatics/mechanicals.
@@at1m6nn Same here, never had this issue before. Such a school boy error. You would think Seiko would have just fixed it, but they said i have to pay for the fix because warranty does not cover as the seller is not an authorised Seiko seller. Brand new in the box from ebay, pretty much the only place that has them now. The seller agreed to fix as he could understand and obviously a good honest gentleman.
@@musmustafa7900 I've never thought that about the warranty, quite disappointing. But I hope he fixes it soon, so you can enjoy this truly amazing watch!
does it sit tall like the snxs79?
No, it doesn't. A slightly slimmer watch, and the case-design conforms better to the wrist.
The best version of one of the most legendary lines of timepieces in history.
Hey, nice video, may I ask what your wrist circumference is? I like the look of this watch but I have a small wrist (5.75 in) so I’m not sure if it will be too big on me. Thanks
Thanks! My wrist size is around 6.5 in (6.75 in on warmer days). The watch usually wears pretty small with these short lugs.
TH-cam are drunk? Good Lord!
This is my daily watch 🫡🫡
Thanks for the video. I was trying to figure out where to enable to on-wrist mode for the temperature. Found one in great condition on ebay and now I can relive my childhood whenever I feel nostalgic again. :)
You're welcome! It's a very useful and unique feature. Enjoy the nostalgia! (;
That's a fun one. I would put it on nato or even Milanesse to push it even further!
It would looks killer on a nato! Since then I switched back to the original casio strap, but yeah, nice to have this bracelet option.
I believe the 3DG has a mineral glass I hear. Can you confirm this?
Nope. All of the f91w variants come with a plastic window. No exception, unfortunately.
@@at1m6nn thanks 😞
The lowest I’m seeing this for is $140 USD. Not sure if I want it or not. I like the history, arabic numerals and case shape but don’t know about the leaf hands and never really loved the 5 logo. Feel like they will be sought after eventually because of the military connection
If you are not 100% sure, dont buy it because of FOMO.
I cant seem to find the golden trim f91wg anywhere in India.
ive been daily driving mine since i was 7, and my dad bought it when it first came out. Got alot of scratches and a new strap but still going strong
What an amazing story! It's pretty rare that someone have been daily driving it that long. Usually a vintage casio ending up in a drawer for decades while waiting for it's new owner. These were really cool gadgets especially for a kid.
I just picked up the upgrade to the f91w thew217 H at Walmart for 16. 99 it has a camo design It is a little thicker with a bigger display It is 50 meters water resistant!
Good review! I too own this model and enjoy wearing it. I purchased a bracelet from Uncle Straps. It was a great upgrade!
Just bought this... Straight from Q, I am not bond but when I wear this I will feel awesome! Arrives soon Very excited! --- Cheers nicholas
Great choice! It really feels quality on the wrist. Wear it in good health!
Nice green color, I would like to see a red F-91W watch
those colors are at walmart
У меня такие с1999 года.Недавно поставил третью батарейку. Часи бомба ракета.
These are cool but seem over priced
Currently it is cheaper than the steel A1100 Casio, at least in my country (Hungary). But I agree, both watches are a bit overpriced for what they are.
@@at1m6nnin the pitch dark is the light bright enough to read the time?
@@TwinCitiesOxygen Yes it's readable. But when the battery is low (after 2 years or something) the light starts to fade out quickly day by day.
@@at1m6nn easy battery to replace ?
@@TwinCitiesOxygen the caseback come off easily, but to snap it back you need some tools to apply force (just the usual method with these type of casebacks) Btw the battery is a bit pricier than other lithium cells.
I bought the gold version of this watch new in 1989, and it hasn't skipped a beat. I'm still very satisfied with it. Great watch!
These 7A movements were definately built to last. Good to hear you stuck with your watch for so long!
dude, it's not only terrorists watch ! some VIP's weared it as well, Obama and some US billionaire too...
Laik👍i also have golden watch without the u in the corner and how do i know its not fake? Please answer me
New f91s (blue, gold) don't have the letter u. Just compare the overall quality of yours to the one in my video (lcd, text fonts, caseback), and do the basic f91 testing (long press the right button to display the word casio on the screen, pressing all buttons at the same time to enter test screen mode). Hope it helps!
Great review 👍 Just ordered mine, the shipping fees and taxes ended up costing as much as the watch itself 😕 But still im looking forward to enjoying it for hopefully many years to come.
Thanks! It will be good for decades, enjoy it! Still worth the extra costs if this color-combination resonates with you. ;)
@@at1m6nn A major factor in my attraction to that watch is the colors, being Irish, it has all the colors of the Ireland flag 🇮🇪🙂
@@adamtier3263 That's a cool, interesting, factor, didn't even think about it until now! o:
Hey man, do you know how to check the production date based on a serial number? Mine says "The serial number (264118) equates to June 1992, 2002, 2012 or 2022" and its H101 Marlin. Thanks!
I have absolutely no idea, sorry. It seems like, that serial number decoder website only applies for post 1990's models. For mine it says: "The serial number (565539) equates to June 1995, 2005 or 2015"
There is no way to exactly date those watches but H101 Marlin was made in 1980 so somewhere around that year.
nice presentation, i didn't know such color variations exists, gotta have them ;)
Thanks! Once you start it, it's like pokemon, you have to collect them all. (:
@@at1m6nnwhich year did that colours variation start?
@@Zopotroco the green one from 2003, the gold one probably from the mid 1990's, the blue from 1989.
I wish they would release an all steel version of f91w
That would be awesome! But I think it's not worth it for casio.
maybe you are searching for a158w
Yeah it would not be a steel version it would be a different watch. And it's the a158w or a168w
Green is my fav version. I also got the blue illuminator version
Just bought one last night on ebay with the metal bracelet, can't wait to get it.
