Omg that was so amazeinggg!!!!! Those guys killed it...all three were monsters but man oo man jimmy wasent from this earth good lord !!! That shawn lane vibe was cascading out of that guitar. shawn and jimmy sound the same when they go off, i love that diminished sound!! its like casting a spell of wizard proportion!!!
Really digging Michael and Wayne!!! Michael has the phrasing and dynamics down like almost no other. Wayne's rhythmic lead qualities are really refreshing. Jimmy is always Jimmy...greatness.
I have tried to explain to people how good this show was. One of the best nights of music and technique that I've seen in my entire life. Reminds of the lightning in a bottle that was "One Night In San Francisco". I guess this is the amplified sibling of that show. Someone should release the entire show commercially.
Haha awesome!!! Man all these dudes are just too cool. Everybody can shred, and do stuff that's cool and a little weird. Right up my alley as far as jazz/rock/blues mix, and Keith Carlock on drums just grooving out to the max. And the "Immigrant Song" beat right at the end haha too good!
Here's the final edit I made using one mans video & another man's audio with the sound check, 'audio only', giving space for a little picture show... Also gauging by the drum hits I believe this one is more tightly in sync... th-cam.com/video/qAe-buxpWMw/w-d-xo.html
occidentals in action singing backup for a chainsaw... You're right, Jimmy and the birds have a psychic hookup. 😎🦜 th-cam.com/video/qwhBy5HF-yU/w-d-xo.html
Wow what a great band!!!!! Some one give a beer :) Its a shame they didnt give the bass player a solo, I know that guy and he could smoke all those guitarists :)
I found the songlist and recordings at etree .org, and re-mixed the audio with the vids, and wasn't ever near B.B.Kings in NYC. sgibson818 here at TH-cam, thankfully attended the show, and dutifully captured this amazing performance entirely, and loaded it here, all except the soundcheck. The links are in my 'show more info' tab under the songs... Hope to have the whole show up soon... Processing now, so it says...
+JGPorcello And sometimes it even sounds like he's playing harmonica on the guitar, too....wth?? lol. Idk if he has a wah pedal just slightly tilted in his mix, to give it that CRY. Sounds like it in a way..
+shucksful I've heard that Duane Allman said that slide playing was more about sounding like a harmonica. From my own experience there is something to that.
JGPorcello ~~~~ Duanne makes a great point... I can clearly see why he would say that. Especially after hearing what Jimmy does without even having a slide! I mean, he has that HARP sound, down pat.!! lol. Certainly, one of the most exciting soloist to come along, in a very long time. And such a SWEETHEART of a guy! But, isn't it usually that way? You wouldn't expect somebody so "untouchable" to be so humble and polite... But, that can be noted with the majority of great musicians. It appears that you can't be a great musician, and be an ass-hole at the same time...But then again, there are peope like Richie Blackmoore....But, uh,,,Nevermind! lol. ((**V**))
JGPorcello watch the PRS video and he displays it close up at the very end mostly whammy bar and a whole lots of extreme skill and fitness. No pedals or knobs. absolute must watch. Dude has no equal
Wayne is in in a different universe

By the way, all three of these brilliant guitarists are in the tippity top tier! Wayne Krantz is the most unique...a real innovator.

Jimmy Herring is simply superb ! What a player !
I was fortunate enough see them in Columbus Ohio. I've seen hundreds of shows & this was Def up there 👍👍
Wayne gettin at it! these dudes fucking jam!

Jimmy Herring at 10:54-10:58 sounds JUST like Myadestes Occidentals, the Brown-Backed Solitaire's song!!

@@astralmusicman And to think that Solitaire was cranking out his song accompanied by not-too-far-away chainsaw!
Thanks!!! Love me some Meters.
These brothers rock!!
Good Lord....JH is not of this world. The entire band is unbelievably good.
Jimmy Herring tho....
Wow!..that's kickass!...Jimmy wailing on a NF3 too!
That drum beat is so cool, it even looks cool when played. heh.
Somebody needs to get Wayne a pair of wire cutters. ;)
Great video! Thanks for sharing.

It's easy to play guitar with Keith Carlock keeping time.
Jimmy Herring can sound like he's playing slide when he's not. How does he do that?
+JGPorcello Lotsa bends, and he uses a volume pedal to fade them in/out

Anyone else fascinated by Jimmy's right wrist …?!
5:06 that touch
Jimmy isn't from Earth. He's not from this dimension.
Thanks for posting this - nice camera work, great sound! How do you know the song title, and do you know who wrote it?? Thanks!
