Mike is maybe the greatest living electric guitarist. His taste, timing, harmonic mastery, dynamic control, melodic phrasing , individuality and tonal mastery are incredible. So inspiring. His music is awesome.
its amazing that anyone managed to get on a level of playing that Michael Landau has. seriously this guy may be the greatest guitarist ever...seriously!!!!
Javi G He is very close to Scott Henderson as well. Even down to hand position and pedals and tone tweaking to some extent. He too has both a Beck and to a lesser degree a Hendrix vibe. I prefer Landau though at the end of the day.
whynottalklikeapirat I love Henderson's playing, and I'm sure there are areas where he may outpace Landau. But, I know for a fact that Henderson is a BIG Landau fan, and I dare say that the more aggro elements have influenced Henderson a lot in the last ten or fifteen years. I prefer Landau, though again, it's a matter of taste; they're both awesome. But Landau exceeds on aesthetic elements; tone is HUGE to me, and imo, nobody beats Landau for tones or chord voicings. Nobody.
I wish he would let those damn knobs alone for more than 10 seconds. It has become like a bad habit. The whammy 3 knobs and the volume pedal. Don’t tell me that only if you constantly change everything you can play a damn song. I like Mike but that makes him miss many many notes.

Michael Landau is my favorite guitarist, The Man was born to play guitar. Period. End of story.
He has a special way to convey his soul through his guitar and his music, he is a true inspirational Master.
I love everything about Michael Landau's playing. One of a kind.
thank you so very much for this video :-) Mike rocks !

Always a pleasure to see and hear him play live.....a real artist and a gentleman....
In the international music scene this man is something else.
Oh God, i love his playing and tone!
Through all that jazzy mastery I can hear a lot of Jeff Beck and some hints of Hendrix.
And the old blues guys
whynottalklikeapirat Sure

Yeah, sounds to me like they "drink from some of the same sources" as we say in Spain

Certainly a challenging backing track o open with.! What a riff 🇦🇺😎
Landau is a SHOGUN of the electric guitar
That's like ... better than being the Richard Chamberlain of the ukulele right?
True master!!
This guy is a monster
Is that “Get Away” backing chords?

All I want is one gratuitous pedal board shot

Two dislikers without ears.
