Brian wow love it. Music is alive though you. Here I was thinking what my mom said, that crap will not last. Disco died thank god. We shall live on. Rock on people
@@RonWinter335 been there and done that on a limited level, I didn't throw my git in the river but I sure as hell don't try to copy Jimmy at all ............ he is terrific and I especially like his vids with Michael Landau
The guitar is an American strat that he has customized. Lollar Imperial humbucker pickups. He tells you all about it in the Dec 2012 issue of Guitar Player
Sounds like Jimmy was listening to alot of Allan Holdsworth the month that he played this gig! Saw him with Aquarium Rescue back in the early '90s at Wetlands NYC. My jaw dropped and my eyes fell out of my head. They were like the Allman Bros if all the Allmans had spent 8 years at Berklee.
Jimmy's been one of my favorites since first hearing him with the ABB in 2000. I dig everything about this tune. Would that be known as a "double fat strat" he's playing?
i hadn't heard of him 'til about 2 years ago. Listen to that rhythm playing he does not to mention his scorching lead skills. The guy is sick.
Why have I not heard of this band before? This is world class playing by all!
I had a guitar lesson with JH 15 yrs ago...we talked about fishing,
That's the sign of a great teacher!😉
thank you for the high quality. I wish I could find more of this tour to view here.
Look out, oww, Jimmy is out there, amazing playing man.
My mind has been blown!!!!!
simply the best at what he does... that is all

Jimmy is a MONSTER on the guitar. hands down!
Great band. Really nice organ solo. Jimmy is a mean motor scooter!!!
Awesome Mr Herring Kick ASS !!
Best wishes to all from Less Than Face Productions.
4:56 sounds almost exactly like a harmonica. unreal.
Amazing!
be back in a few minutes....gonna go throw my guitar in the river....

And your drums and your bass and your keyboards. Well...we can all still be apprentice roadies.

GREAT!!
I love how Jimmy makes it sound like an overdriven blues harp in places-amazing control of timbre.
A real guitar God. He even looks like "him". ;-) Awesome playing.
Great video! Really nice closeups, esp. of Jimmy's hands while soloing.

That harmonica sound is unreal
la..crème..de la crème..excellent..!!!!!!

Or if Duane had lived to be more than 24 years old.
Outside playing of the highest order.
nice! that bass player neal fountain is off the chain! most people havent seen this
Jimmy dont care what key! Love it!
hellz yes
Thinking outside the circle. It dont get better than this. Up there with Guthrie and Gambale plus a spicy dash of the cheekier side of Holdsworth.
SWEET
Damn! That is a bad jam!!
Miss Tonia...
I think it's refreshing to se that he has an Axe-FX with a poweramp and a cab to go with that... Reliable touring gear!
Mikael Nilsson that's only for his reverb

widespread panic right?
Sounds a lot like Shawn Lane to me, check out his cover of Mike Stern's Upside Downside, very similar
The keyboard player could handle molten metal with his bare hands. Jimmy too. Tell me I'm wrong...
Check out Gerry Garcia now that man can jam all night RIP my friend
Jimmy's strong, but nothing new or innovative. Duane, Allan et al. did all this and more.
Why do we guitarists succumb to the yelping cat syndrome?
you're pretty wrong about this statement
"Duane, Allan et al. did all this and more." Are you out of your mind?
Best wishes to all from Less Than Face Productions.
