So, between this song and the others you've watched are being watched out of chronological order. Avi, the bassist voice, or white guy with beard, is a former member. He was replaced by Matt, the black guy on the far left in the Sound of Silence Video. This Daft Punk video is a number of years old by now, and one of their more earlier videos. Hope that helps clarify the members.
you should also look at the live version of this song, there you can realize how authentic and extraordinary they are!

You realize the amazing beatboxer Kevin in this video... He's amazing!
Now you know why this got them their first Grammy. I am sure this has already been said, but if not: They did this on their own with a video artist they found. This was after SONY dropped them from the recording contract they won The Sound tract was recorded in Kevin/Avi's kitchen and the video was done in a closet with yes, two ring lights. The budget was approx. $400. They released it on TH-cam because they were not going to give up on their dream!! I feel like a proud relative every time I see a new song. No, I have never met any of them, but damn are they good and it does my heart good to see what determination and believing in a dream can accomplish.

That's not a new member. Mitch just changes his look a LOT. He's the high pitched guy who had the mullet in Sound of Silence
You can’t go wrong with any PTX song... your enjoyment of a specific song depends on your music preferences but they have a talent for making me like songs I didn’t like before they covered them! Great reaction!

Pentatonix only switch one member Avi (bass) left and Matt (the other black guy) replaced him. other than that all the same. Mitch and Kirsten change their look a lot.
There is no new member at this time. This is the original lineup.

Kevin has his own channel. His cover of Down will blow your mind.
That is Mitch lolol he just lost weight since this was created. And he and Kirsten are chameleons, they change their looks often. The only member that has changed is Avi (the Bass), Matt has become the Bass in recent history. And this was recorded in a closet , and won their 1st Grammy.
That's still Mitch he is just very young. He has claimed himself over the last 7 years.

I'm not sure which tracks you'd like from Pentatonix... this one was recorded in 2 of the member's homes.. in one a closet, the other a kitchen. Contacts are cheap corner drug store variety and they irritated Kevin's eyes so badly he went with futuristic-looking sunglasses 😎

This group likes it's Mash-ups and Medleys. They're darned good at arranging them too. A great Mashup is "New Rules / Are You That Somebody" with some heavy Timbaland beats.
A straight up cover with a strong beat was just released a few days ago by PTX. It was filmed in each member's home by that member while in quarantine, then sent electronically to the producer of "Daft Punk Medley", Ben Bram, and he did a pretty decent job on the Official Video. I like it! It's called "Blinding Lights", and I'm almost positive you're familiar with that one. They gave the beat a much stronger presence than the original and, like I said, I like it!

They were just getting ready to begin their European leg of the World Tour they've been on since the March of 2019 until coronavirus hit right when they were due to perform in Milan, Italy. Obviously they weren't able to fly there and were put into quarantine here in states. The first leg of their world tour was a stadium tour and they were really really excited and more than a little nervous about getting to play Madison Square Garden for the first time. That's really something when you consider they're an A Capella group! And yes, they are busy people and they work very hard.

There's a video of them doing this live, in one small room, with no mics other than the one on the phone, and their sound is just as intricate and tight there. They never do anything on a video that they can't replicate live.

BTW....the only member that has changed is Avi Kaplan (bass with the beard). He left the group a couple of years ago (no drama) and helped to find new bass Matt. You'll find that Mitch (guy with the high voice) and Kirstie (the girl) are chameleons as they change their looks often.

You now see a capella groups and choirs all over the world doing songs with the arrangements credited to Pentatonix or Home Free. (Note: May I recommend Home Free's "Man of Constant Sorrow",)
It's always hilarious when a new reactor has that first moment of seeing Mitch and thinking it's a totally new guy. Mitch is the ultimate chameleon. Nah, man, that's still the guy with the angel voice that you pointed out in your first video. :)

PTX has music creativity flowing thru their veins! Every single release has an element that’s surprising. That’s what keeps us coming back! Acapella by definition is authentic.

Great reaction! Three of this group's members are from Arlington, Texas. This State, for years have been cutting public school's budgets and usually, the first thing to go, is monies for the Arts. That means, no monies for arts and crafts, no monies for P.E., no monies for band departments, no monies for instruments. Yet, here you have a group of kids that said: "No instruments, No Problem" and go about making music out of thin air! Really, really incredible when you think about it!

I've been noticing lately that a lot of people are finding out about PTX and that's pure joy for me. Welcome to the fam! Love your reaction, those were the same I got when I listened to that masterpiece the first time. A great experience for real. I think you will really enjoy "new rules X are you that somebody" this one is dope. You will cry. New subscriber for sure!
They have toured pretty much non stop since they started. They were supposed to be overseas now but the pandemic stopped them. They just dropped new videos from a new EP done in quarantine. Go to PTX OFFICIAL you tube channel and see their last 3 videos. They couldn't even hear each other while recording. You would probably also like their evolution of Michael Jackson, and others.
This video was produced by FifGen Films. FifGen had assembled a framed video for another group before this and knew the shots they needed to make this special. The music won them a Grammy, the video brought them new TH-cam subscribers. Its a win for the group and their fans!
I imagine you heard already but that's the same lineup as Hallelujah, Mitch just changes his look a lot. And in this one the bass AVI changed his with the cornrows. They have great originals. YOu should watch some of their live performances or the "evolution of" videos (Michael Jackson is great) which are live and you can see what they do. This video got them their first Grammy, they have three now.
You can't go wrong but there are originals they do that are pretty great. I like SING, and Love Again has a real club beat. You MUST do Bohemian Rhapsody at some point. They did a movie I think on Netflix called ON MY WAY home which was their first tour, great intro to the band and the music and seeing them do live what you see on the videos is amazing.

Their original song "Love Again" is a good follow-up, as it also has the same EDM/club feel and futuristic/cyberpunk look. As it was produced *after* they were signed to a major label, they had more of a budget to work with then they did with this one.
Honestly, one of my Favorite Daft Punk songs is Digital Love so it was awesome hearing it in this arrangement. I also Love Face to Face and Instant Crush. Honestly, everything off of Alive 2007 is AMAZING!!!!! Regarding Pentatonix, Check out Love Again, Sing, and Imagine.

There are LOTS of videos of live performances of their cover of "Aha!" by Imogen Heap. I think the one Kevin Stern is referring to is the one at the Star Vista in Singapore, and it's a fan video. It's amazing! I would recommend you get to know the band better before you watch that one, though.

Don’t interrupt! The Tall blonde, the girl and the young dark head have been together since school. Avi the bass comes and goes. There’s another bass that fills in. The beat box is awesome but sings soo well too!
The bass doesn't come and go. Avi was the original bass who left the group in 2017 and was replaced by Matt. Avi hasn't returned since then. He has his own solo career now.

You should check out Superfruit! A duo with the lead singer, Scott, and Mitch, the guy with the really high pitch. It's a comedy/music channel. Guy.exe was amazing!

Mitch looks different in the earlier videos.. same members and only change has been the base singers from Avi to Matt in 2017. Mitch and Kirstin are always looking different..

There is no new member. This is the same lineup as Hallelujah and Mary Did You Know. Could be you are talking about Mitch (the guy with the high voice) - he lost a lot of weight after this video, and he changes his looks constantly, so he looks like a different person in different videos.
