OMG---over 17 feet down and TOM is NOT deterred. down inside for hours yet he climes out .== THIS IS TOTAL PASSION AT WORK. MY RESPECT FOR SKILL, KNOWLEDGE AND TEACHING IMPARTED TO ALL OF US.💕💕💕💕💕💕♥♥
The stoneware maple 🍁 syrup jug is wonderful! The iridescent Golden Wedding flasks are absolutely beautiful! Looks like someone bought a case of it and the Paul Jones, another beautiful flask. Wonderful finds but disappointed there weren't cleaned up photos at the end.
Wow - great videos, Tom! The last pit full of Golden Wedding and Paul Jones bottles made me wonder if someone was day-drinking in the shed and hiding their empties in the old outhouse. Keep digging!
Has heavy rye on the nose. A grainy, herbal taste with notes of dill pickle and rye on the palate. The finish is spicy and smokey with a hint of banana. OK....
You might be the bravest man from your home state. I had wondered if you were going to be pulled out with that rope and I couldn't hear you clearly when you said how you were coming up. I was shocked. Your the man. Some great finds.
I once dug a hole and found a coke bottle from the 50s and thought I was cool. lol Your channel is awesome I love watching it. Thank you so much for sharing your adventures!
Tom you and your camera man are unbelievable when it comes to cold weather digging. Amazing dogs, the well was over the top. The construction of it still has my head spinning. Your perseverance and dedicated make to find history in the Midwest is admirable. You rock! 👏👏😀👍👍
There is no way I would go down there! I have to have an MRI on my spine periodically and I have to be put under because I’m so terribly claustrophobic!
It's always a great day when Tom's video pops up 😁 Great haul Tom! I don't think I ever saw you go so deep as you did here. 😳😂 Thank you for sharing your digs with us. I sure do enjoy them. Have a great day 😊
Tom, just a short note of thanks. I truly feel your love of Pharmacy bottles has helped these rare bottles and finally getting their due reward’s. Prices of pharmacy bottles has increased since your channel has been running. And people are buying. I’ve always prized these bottles. Thank you Sir. Your channel is greatly enjoyed.
Tom I really enjoy your channel. I found out 2 years ago that after an injury to my back that I have six damaged vertebrae. It’s been a slow process finding out the cause and how to go about getting some pain relief without having spinal fusion surgery. Anyway, I’m laid up in bed a lot and I came across your channel and I really enjoy it and appreciate what you do! Thanks for sharing all your in depth knowledge with us and adding the heading with the info. I’m a history buff and I love it. Those antique bottles and dinnerware are incredible, as well as your other finds. I collect knives and watches and I love to take an old rusty and abused pocket knife and restore it bringing it back to life. I make the blades shiny again but leave the remnants where rust pitted them. I think an old pocket knife should be an old pocket knife! Take care and stay safe out there! 😊
Tom, you sure showed how fit and strong you are! Great digs! My favorite jug was the first long necked one you found. Keep on digging (if it's still possible this season)! Happy New Year and many more incredible bottles and finds!
Now that's the way to ring in the new year! What a haul! Great job. You seem a lot happier with this newer channel Hope you have some great finds this year.
glad you showed us how you get out. I hope you have a rope ladder available - maybe tied off to your vehicle - in case you pull a muscle or injure yourself when you are down. I also liked how you showed us the bucket on the rope.
Maybe the well ran dry or was no longer used for some reason about 1910-20 and it was used as a dump for awhile? Everything seems to date from that period. That last pit with all the Golden Wedding liquor bottles kinda suggests that someone was in the habit of retiring to the privy after dinner with a little something to drink. While they couldn't have survived there were probably hundreds of non-filter Camel, Lucky and Pall Mall butts dropped in.
Tom - i am astonished by your determination to dig these pits. I admire your staying power when it comes to wallowing in the wet pits, but when you’re doing so 20 feet down … I’m speechless! (Well almost … ) Great épisode, love those pretty Golden Wedding bottles - seems like someone did some serious celebrating.
Thank you so much Tom to take us with you again and watch you dig and find all that wonderful ’’past”. Your comments are so interesting. Thanks and BRAVO😊
Cool digs!! I lived in Louisville,Ky for many years,Seventh St. and Dixie Hwy. run close together in the area known as "lively Shively." lots of bourbon warehouses, liquor sales, night clubs not far from Churchill Downs famous for the Ky.Derby. I love the color of those Golden wedding ones. Someone sure liked their rye whiskey, purely medicinal ,of course😁.
Another great video!! That was a deep well and nice finds in it! Thanks for taking us on the dig with you!! I’m looking forward to next Saturdays vid!!
"Travel back to an age of whiskey-making artistry with Golden Wedding Rye Whiskey. Its roots trace all the way back to 1869, making it a testament to a time when every bottle was crafted with passion and patience. During the Prohibition days, the winds of change saw Schenley Distilling Corporation acquiring the Joseph S. Finch distillery and, with it, the prized Golden Wedding brand. This iconic brand found its home in two prestigious locations: Schenley's Pennsylvania distillery and the renowned George T. Stagg Distillery. But as the 1940s waned, Golden Wedding made its way north, becoming a signature Canadian whiskey under Schenley's care. Although its journey ended in the late 20th century, the essence of Golden Wedding remains an emblem of American whiskey history."
American journalist & humorist H. Allen Smith (1907-1976) stated in his book 'Low Man On A Totem Pole' that he was well into his thirties "before [he] knew there was any brand of whiskey besides 'Golden Wedding.'" (quote as best as I can recall) Golden Wedding whiskey is still on the market as a Canadian brand.
Your amazing Tom 👏 you are the Indiana Jones of bottles artefacts and other items 😀 such dedication 👏 and your videos are always educational and historic facts 😀 Andrew south wales uk 👌 👍 😊 and you and your team have a happy new year 2o25 😊
It's getting sloppy outside 😔... digging has been cancelled until spring. Regardless thumbs 👍#200 The golden wedding bottles are pretty common here in central Pennsylvania but usually we find the bigger bottles and the carnival glass look isn't always equal.... sometimes it's missing in spots. The little ones are nice 👍
Love your channel immensely! I really dig it…no pun intended! I’m majorly into history! Super fun to watch you and learn about all of your found artifacts! Do you have an on-line store/shop where you sell some of your finds? If so, please let me know where to look…I’m seriously interested in buying from you! I’m located in south central PA. I never miss an episode!
Tom, The trap that you dug up is likely a Victor trap. If so, the round trigger in the bottom would have a V cutout. One of the long V-springs remains, and a 2nd V-spring may have broken off - leading to it being discarded. Used for squirrels and other small animals.
You have guts. Thank you for taking us with you 😅

Never cease to amaze me, theres no other channel that is more entertaining and educational. Love it, should be in the 100s of thousands in no time.
I hope so. Thanks for watching!
I thought you were going to say how it never censes to amaze you how well graniteware holds up underground.
That was a nail biter watching you climb out of the well. You found some cool items! Just think, you'll never be out of shape with this hobby!
I wondered how he'd get out of there. He's really fit so I'm not surprised.
That well was so cool! Love watching!

THIS SHOWS HOW SUPER FIT TOM IS
The carnival glass bottles were amazing! Would have loved to see a few cleaned up. Maybe next time.

Wow. That would make me completely claustrophobic. 20 feet underground in a small space.
I’m claustrophobic just watching him😮
There is no way I would go down there! I have to have an MRI on my spine periodically and I have to be put under because I’m so terribly claustrophobic!
That last pit was the coolest. I like how all caps remained on the bottles
In this video, Tom, you definitely show your determination.
Thank you, stay safe. 😊
It's always a great day when Tom's video pops up 😁

Wow Tom. You're brave coming up that we'll like that 😮. You had some lovely finds though . Well worth while 💙
Absolutely amazing digs. That one jug with the tall neck was very interesting.
glad you showed us how you get out. I hope you have a rope ladder available - maybe tied off to your vehicle - in case you pull a muscle or injure yourself when you are down. I also liked how you showed us the bucket on the rope.
Or a ladder?
Holy cow! This blows me away!

Wow, nice Tom! Yikes, I was hoping you weren’t going to find water! Brrr, it’s a good thing you are strong. Nice finds.
Whew! That well was loaded with unique finds! And the other hole with the rye bottles & Paul Jones bottles! Very interesting!

Ahhh, I was looking forward to a cleaned Golden Wedding Rye bottle. Great dig, Tom. Hope no frost bite after standing in the well water.

I know its unlikely in a well, but be careful in those deep pits without reinforcement. Stay safe brother and keep bringing those relics!
Tom. You. The. Man. 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Hmmm.....an alcoholic maybe?😂😂😂 Golden Wedding bonanza!! Great dig.❤
Best yet! Stay safe, young man!
You are brave going under the ground that deep, fantastic dig as always much respect 👊🏽✌🏼
You are a very hard working dude. Love the video.
It's just nice to watch something easy going instead of all the crazy loud stuff that's on utube.
Hey Tom, Great finds. Love how you hoisted yourself from that pit.
Another great video!! That was a deep well and nice finds in it! Thanks for taking us on the dig with you!! I’m looking forward to next Saturdays vid!!

Loved this one! History and and a nail biter.
I would have been worried that the bottom would give way at any second!
The Golden Wedding bourbon bottles are really cool!
Getting out of that pit was very impressive…No kidding…Well done
‘Soap dish’ found at beginning may be a flower frog. It would be placed in a large vase to uniformly hold flower stems. Collectable.
What a great video. You are amazing going down into that deep well. Bonus is Whitcomb is my maiden name.
That well was a cool dig great videos
It must have been the type of wedding where everyone brought their own bottle! Ha…. BYOB!
I grew up about 5 min from the old Schenley whiskey plant. Used to dig the dumps as a kid. Sometimes they would still be full
gives new meaning to:" colder than a well-digger's ass"!
missing the cleaned up bottles at the end, hope u return to that sometimes.
In the Klondike!
one dude taking a dump in his outhouse and bringing his favorite brand of whiskey with him back in the day lol
Tom nothing stops you from digging snow cold weather rain heat in summer. Do you ever take a break?
Your amazing Tom 👏 you are the Indiana Jones of bottles artefacts and other items 😀 such dedication 👏 and your videos are always educational and historic facts 😀 Andrew south wales uk 👌 👍 😊 and you and your team have a happy new year 2o25 😊

Your a mad man lol!❤
That small “dollhouse” plate is a butter pat! A small dish to hold a pat of butter
It was a thinner piece. Butter pats like that are usually heavy ironstone
Wow... That well was deep..My father grew up in nova Scotia, Canada. He said as a young boy, remembers digging the well with his uncle Ernie. 😊
Awesome dig Tom.! Great job invisible cameraman!
The technique used to get out of the tunnel is called “chimney” in the rock climbing world.
Looks like a cold day... But no mosquitoes!!
Tom,
The trap that you dug up is likely a Victor trap. If so, the round trigger in the bottom would have a V cutout. One of the long V-springs remains, and a 2nd V-spring may have broken off - leading to it being discarded. Used for squirrels and other small animals.

Is this a new name for your channel? I wasn't sure it was you. I was use to seeing your name. Great finds. Those old jugs are always a nice find.
This is the new name. I changed it a week or so ago
Seen you on quarter Horder the other night. Nice interview Tom.
Was that through TH-cam? Live or video? Thanks
@Hamingja6266 live
@@Hamingja6266yeah o can’t find it either
@@jimmylarge1148 same been looking it must have been live and he's not post it yet the quarter hoarder that is
@@jimmylarge1148 once the live was over it disappeared. Don't know if Jason accidentally deleted it.
This was a very interesting dig.
Well, well, well! 🤠👍
You have nerves of steel. Freezing water and really closed in digging that cistern. Be safe out there.😊
The only thing going for me was the depth. It was probably 20 degrees warmer down there.
Starting to sound like DJ Khalid-- and another one! Great video!
Very nice!❤💕👍🙏
just noticed the channel-name change. Still subscribed, sticking around, this is great stuff.
