      Thanks Jess, so going a bit more vertical and shallowing out on the way down is okay. What i love about S&T is the non-weight shift but sometimes i feel like i lose power with my back swing being to flat.

      Hello Jess,could you mirror this video for the left handed golfers

    • @JessFrankGolfAcademyBocaRaton
      @JessFrankGolfAcademyBocaRaton  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes I completely understand what you are saying about being to flat or the club getting too far behind you. You need to get the club into the "Light" feel to let the club travel up. Thank you again!

    Thank you for clarifying the stack and tilt backswing. The "Hands In" part of the ST 10 words are about hands inside the clubhead, not hands in & around the body. I see it clearly now! Awesome instruction.

    Jess thanks! Your 'hands in, club head up' tip is very very helpful. Other teachers of S&T golf swing did not mention the 'up' part, which is crucial to make the perfect backswing.

    Jess, thanks for clarifying the backswing. I got the impression from various sources on Stack and Tilt that the backswing is flat and around the body and not vertical. From your video, it looks like a combination of around and then up on the backswing.

    • @JessFrankGolfAcademyBocaRaton
      @JessFrankGolfAcademyBocaRaton  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, there is always confusion about the S&T backswing being flat. The left shoulder goes down and the left arm goes up so it orbits around the body. Hope that helps:)

    Hi Jess, like your explanation a lot. I am now able to swing a club after having quadruple heart bypass. Not having done any exercise other than walk a mile or two everyday I am ready to get some upper body strength back to where I was 3 months ago. I followed your videos but have not been able to practice until now.....looking forward to hitting the ball again using the stack and tilt method that you have been presenting. Greatly appreciated.

    Great drill. I will give the s&t setup a try this week.I have watched 2 of your videos and this may be the swing I need. I am in my seventies and getting back into golf after a few years off due to sholder issues. The stack and tilt swing looks like it may be easy on the body. Will let you know how I go.

    Hi Jess, thanks for your videos. I like this video but in another video you change the plane of your back swing on the down swing (you mentioned making circles with the club at the top of the back swing. Why not just take the club back on a more shallow plane and thus keep on the sane plane?
    Thanks
    Dave

    • @JessFrankGolfAcademyBocaRaton
      @JessFrankGolfAcademyBocaRaton  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you David appreciate it! You need to have a steeper backswing which helps shallow the downswing

    • @meekqb
      @meekqb 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jess, your simple emphasis on a steeper backswing is soooo helpful, a difference maker. I agree with other commenters, a lot of other ST instruction fails to highlight that. Thank you!!

    Another great video. Can you please explain on the take away of the back swing how the club face should be? How far from the Villages are you? When I come to visit the in laws I’d love to take a road trip to get some lessons from you

    • @JessFrankGolfAcademyBocaRaton
      @JessFrankGolfAcademyBocaRaton  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Chris! Thanks for commenting! I am about 3-4 hours from the Villages. The club face should be perpendicular to the spine. Or an easy way to think about it is the club face looking at the target line until the shaft is parallel to the ground or P2. Hope that helps:)

    Jess…first off thanks for all the great instruction. Things had gone awry for me and transitioning to S&T is making golf fun again.
    I have a question about the rotational condition of the thighs at the top of the swing. It would seem we can swing into a position of either dual external rotation of the thighs, or dual internal rotation of the thighs. Dual internal feels way better and the downswing becomes more automatic. The downswing is a struggle if I am in dual external rotation of the thighs at the top.
    Looking at your videos it would seem that you are in dual internal rotation of the thighs at the top.
    Could you comment on this? Or am I going down a worm hole to even consider this?
    Thanks in advance Jess.

    • @JessFrankGolfAcademyBocaRaton
      @JessFrankGolfAcademyBocaRaton  ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe i am in internal at P4. I have to admit I am not as well versed on internal and external hip rotation. I am not in any discomfort in my hips or legs at P4 or for that matter any time throughout the swing. hope that helps:) My please on the instruction I appreciate you being part of the community.

    • @DanaKong-yr4ev
      @DanaKong-yr4ev ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you so much for the reply and I hope we can continue this discussion.
      It certainly looks like you are in dual internal rotation at P4, so if we consider that at address we consciously and purposefully are in dual external rotation with our feet turned out, how are you getting from dual external rotation at address to dual internal rotation at P4?
      I think this is somewhat of an aha moment for me relative to my understanding of the S&T swing. But then again (I’m 60 years old and have been playing for 30+ years) I think I’m up to 267 aha moments over the years that I thought were game changers that turned out not to be. And to clarify, I mentioned that it’s a struggle in the downswing for me if I stay in the external rotation condition established at address all the way to P4, but not actually a physical. I can only come over the top and hit pulls from that position.
      Thanks again for your time and sharing your knowledge Jess.

    Hi Jess, this video has helped me immensely. l have been using SnT for nearly 10 years. This is without a doubt the most useful piece of information that l had come across. FYI, I have seen 4 SNT instructors over the years and if l have this information earlier l would definately be playing single figure for sure. l tried it out with tilting only today and managed to hit the ball very well with a baby draw. I main problem is hooking but today l open the face a lot more probably almost 1 o'clock, the results were either straight or slightly draw. Is 1 oclock being too much in your opinion? Thanks in advance. Stevie
