Jess at 78 years old and getting stiffer and more tired with every day I need every bit of help I can get now Upto ten years ago at least 65% of my scores were in the seventies but now is mostly 80's
Thanks to you, Tom Suguto and Eric Cogorno, I’ve gone from a 30+ handicap to a 12 handicap and finished a round last week at 4 over par. My short game is my weak sister. I am hopeful that by drilling the short game tips from you three that I can achieve a single digit handicap. Thanks much.
best tip of this video jess.. is the pointing of the shaft after impact is pointing at the ground . immediate results. amazing instruction. thank you thank you
This REALLY helped my chipping “yips”. Did a little pre-round practice and it made all the difference to my short game that was hurting badly. The light grip surprisingly gave me so much confidence. Thanks!!!
This video is fantastic. I never understood why my chips went left. I was taught to take the club straight back and through. Your explanation explained why that system didn't work. Tried your technique today, every chip went straight. Distant control was off, but that will come with practice. Thank again.
Thanks Jess the ball is off the front foot if u lift your right away u will see the ball is actually off the left heel one of Steve elkington videos shows it well only optical allusion that the ball is back in your stance as the ball goes further forward the ball goes higher but still all with left foot ,love your simple explanation especially starting the downswing and driver explanation well done u have me subscribed.
This is off subject, but was wondering what your rake is on larger grips. I was fitted for standard grips, but I tried my buddies driver which has midsized, less tapered grips, and they felt more comfortable than mine. Would the switch to bigger grips make a difference? Thank You
Great question Mike! I find that bigger grips change the swing weight of the club so you have to make sure it doesn’t change the dynamics of the club. Also, I find it a personal preference on grip size. I wear a large glove but use standard grips. Hope this helps :)
This is a critical point in a fairly good golfers game. I frequently find myself at a distance of around 200 yards or 230 yards. If I go for the green the probability that I will miss the green is greater than hitting on to the green. So I am very tempted to layup close to the green. If I can get good with chipping then I’ll have many more pars. It can also give more confidence to my 100 yard pitches. I’d like to know that there has been a modest golf pro who practiced modesty as the best policy.
Jess, what I don’t understand is that by leaning forward and putting you club forward, you’re taking a lot of loft off the club and taking the bounce out of the club. I would think your standard stack and tilt position plus ball in middle of a narrow stance would be better. No?

It's that simple. Can't wait to try that next time I play. Chipping really is my nemesis.
Oh, great hook up with Mr Saguto, I really enjoyed that.
Yes Jess you simplified chipping enough and will be trying it in my next game, thanks
@@slime2686 thank you Simon!

Thank you Dave!!
Great tip. Helped me immediately. 🤙
Excellent Bill love to hear it!
Very helpful! Please do a video on how you handle shots out of fairway bunkers and green side bunkers. Thanks.
Thank you for the helpful drill. Will practice it and this will definitely lower my score.
Thank you!
Never hit the ball better since watching this man
Thank you Peter glad I could help!
Jess which video show the alignment stick that you stick on the face of the irons? Thank you, it is very good
Hey Rick! Here you go! th-cam.com/video/Q8nbpU_9JXA/w-d-xo.html
Awesome
Thank you Jan!
Great stuff. How do change set up and/or swing if the ball is in deep grass?
Thank you sir. Depends on the shot weight on the left with a more vertical downswing.
Thanks. I appreciate it.
Thank you Dale!
I have the yips. Can you help me with a new setup?
Did you try crosshanded
Yes, LHL, one handed both R and L.

Thank you for excellent video.Could you do a video on bunker shots?
Yes for sure great idea!
like your chipping vid. do you have a dominant hand side or is it togetherness with the body as well
How Does stack and stilt work with fairway woods and hybrids?
I believe I have videos covering both fwy woods and hybrids! ST works awesome with every club in the bag:)
Do you ever have a clinic in Texas?
If you put 5 people together we can always work something out
Question: one club different swings or multiple clubs one swing? Speaking of the Paul Runyon approach rule of 12
One swing for your golf clubs. I believe you don’t want 13 different swings:) thanks Bruce!
I have been curious if there is a list available somewhere of stack and tilt instructors. I’m in the Augusta Ga area. I don’t know of any around here.
Hey Tim I will find out for you! If not we can do online lessons.
Do you have a video on chipping off tight lies? I watch a lot of videos that talk about using bounce off tight lies but that doesn't work for me.
Ok Rich I will do one for sure
My general procedure is putt if I can. If I can't putt my next option I consider is the old fashioned bump and run. If I can't do that then I chip.
Nice Bill! Hope you had a nice Easter!
@@JessFrankGolfAcademyBocaRaton yes I did

Hey Tony thanks for the question maybe in the future for sure :)
@@JessFrankGolfAcademyBocaRaton ok thanks....i'll keep an eye out for you.
@@tonytitado6478 yes sir Tony!
My problem is a flinch at impact that I can't seem to stop. WM Thanks
Hey William remember just to make the motion let the ball get in the way:) Hope this helps.

Thank you Stephen!
Bunker please 😊
This was me today lol
Thank you Glenn!
this only works off nice fluffy lies. tight lies or muddy wet ground forget it.
😃
Back to driver, can you please speak to the driver with a ‘toe up’ VS a flat lie...? Thanks
You got it will do another driver video

Thank you Stephen this is a baseline chip standard.
Your tips are great but you seem to have bad weather, October weather.
Yes sir Guy! Our weather has been on and off this week lol
Now show me off of a really tight lie please. No cushy grass under the ball.
Will do Charles Great idea!!
