I like this a lot. All of these American gun companies need to wake up and realize they need to get involved if they want to survive. We all need to be better, stay informed, and involved in the discussion of our nations future. We need to show that 99 percent of firearm owners are law-abiding, kind, and peaceful people.

The second amendment is just as needed and relevant as the day it was written!

Politicians and lawyers that try to pass blatantly unconstitutional laws to restrict our rights should be held professionally and physically accountable.

Dude. This guy and I were probably at Camp Horseshoe at the sametime; my first ever resident scout camp was at Camp Horseshoe, Maryland in the early 2000's, right after I bridged from Weblos.
    Small world.

"Fear" sells firearms, ammo, etc. The industry wants us to be afraid and will always stop short when it comes to standing behind 2a policies.
I'm certainly guilty, buying related stuff since 2020 mostly due to supply chain concerns, not always due to wants or needs.

Absolutely. Washington was dealt a tough blow recently. Hopefully logic, reason, and facts will win in the end. - Mark B.

I’m in Washington as well. Been donating and paying attention to all the things happening in 2A lately, which is a lot these days.
Did you guys see the article Vice put out with the goofy liberals in Seattle crying about the ban. They were whining because they felt left behind because now it’s mostly conservatives that own rifles. Guess they’re worried their militia won’t be Well Regulated. 😂

It's funny how a brick of 22lr has been the metaphorical Pandora's box to the love of guns for so many people!

Do you think regular pistols with 15 rounds will be banned? Or is the talk just about riffles?

Lots to unpack. The Constitution is a contract between States. The spirit of the Constitution is self-determination. The 2A is meant to ensure that against enemies both foreign and domestic. Anything able to be used in war including training and practice can not be banned.
And whereas, self-preservation is under the Constitution (what people are willing to fight in war for), self-defense is not and power is regulated by the States which falls under crime and punishment.
Foreign enemies, at the time, meant war against another nation or hostile native tribes. Domestic refers to tyranny in which restictions becomes greater than self-determination. So, States can not ban anything which can be used in war but States may restrict actual use, ie. restrict the numbers of rounds for CCW (or hunting) but can't ban magazine capacity.

As a not-very-well-informed outsider looking in, I must say the whole state of US gun laws (and how they seem not to get challenged in court) seems rather illogical. But on the subject of pistol braces specifically, has anybody attempted to argue the case that the prohibition/limitation of short-barrelled rifles is itself an infringement? Because if that went away, the whole issue of pistol braces would become a moot point?
Here in South Africa, we have a constitutional court where any citizen or body of citizens can challenge any law against the constitution. Of course the sad part is that we are not considered to have any right to own firearms...

Are there laws that make it a crime to infringe on the 2nd amendment? If not, why not?

The Ukrainians right now, and for the last year are learning why the right to keep and bear arms is important. At the beginning of the invasion, almost none of the civilians had rifles, and the government VERY QUICKLY began handing them out to anyone who wanted one and thought they might use it. HOWEVER you still had the problem of training, because they had previously been denied access to such arms, all the men, and perhaps some women, volunteering to defend their homeland were now issued a rifle upon which they had no or almost no training. Imagine how many of them died because they didn’t know how to clear basic malfunctions, imagine how many more died because they didn’t understand and abide by the basic safety rules. Imagine how many of them have killed one of their friends because of a negligent discharge. All, or at least most, of this could have been avoided had they already owned and been familiar with their own firearms.

We could amend the constitution such that any lawmaker, or any other agent of government forfeits their office and their salary and benefits if they participate the passing or enforcement of any unconstitutional law.
