@@fortuneo4303 Hi fortune. I will need more information before I can calculate your load. I need to know the size of the aircon. (kW or BTU's), the freezer will also have a KW rating on the specs plate on the door, also please tell me what kind of fans are you talking about?
I've watched several videos like this. There was a lot of talking and jargons that my brain gave up. But this video, with no talking, just simple examples and calculations, my brain was able to grasp. Now I understand. No need for so much talk. Thank you so much for this video!
It was very interesting to see the formulas all under one roof. Thank you. If you consider all the variables, you realise that you should go as big as you can afford - within reason.
Exactly. More panels & more batteries. We just went through a four-day power outage here in Maryland. Our little solar power system (3 x 100 w panels) and 4 (40 WAhr) 160 AHr battery bank enabled us to keep internet up, small pump for aquariums, a fan to cool down, cell phone charging. I think now i just need more batteries to store - luckily we had bright sunshine during the 4 day outage. A few more panels from Renogy as well.
Thank you very much for giving demonstrative calculation for the required home load in written mode explanation in simple terms. Even a 10th student can understand your method of calculation if one has known basic electrical terms and the relationship among them. Please design this type of videos in future also so that many viewers could become electrical technology literates.Thank you once again Technical Guruji.
Excellent explanation. Thank you! This video fully explained the basic instructions and requirements for going solar (DIY),. In addition, I think a solar charge controller is required to have a complete solar system setup and the calculation to determine the solar charge controller amps for this video will be dividing the total solar panel watts (720 watts) by 12V (for a 12Volts system) calculation which will give us 60. So you'll need a 60A MPPT or POWMR solar charge controller.
yah.. he forgot this step in his video but over all its impressive explanation even if no how on calculation can easily understand these tuturials..congrats..
Highly appreciated. the simple presentation covers a huge area of the Solar off-grid system. One thing I have noticed is that 350W home load is considered as 340W (sorry I mentioned this it does not affect the content of the training program. human error forget it) best wishes I like it very much got more things to my knowledge base.
Thanks for the video, nice and simple. One must also consider if using multiple solar panels, on how to connect up the panels - series vs parallel as this affects the input voltage and current.
Can ya help me out. To make the math easy, say I have four, 300ah battery’s. Can a 2200 class generators charge 4 or probably more in a “reasonable” amount of time? When I build my boat I will share the link.👍😎
SO NEATLY WITH VERY GOOD CLARITY ESPECIALLY TO PEOPLE WHO ARE EXPOSED TO SOLAR ENERGY CALCULATIONS A NICE OPPORTUNITY AND MUST MAKE FULL USE BY MAKING NOTES FOR FUTURE Reference.
Excellent video tutorials. It’s very informative. I’m not an electrician but by watching your video I think I can follow your calculations. Thank you for sharing your video. I loved off grid power supply. I subscribed your TH-cam channel to support your video. Greetings from Canada 🇨🇦
It's ok, I can buy more batteries and connect in parallel and buy more solar panels for more voltage output 😄 thank God I don't need only 1 for all those appliances. But I love you for the calculations and formulas.
the video is good for beginners but there are some factors ignored like in battery selection you cannot consider dept of discharge DOD as 100% this can damage a battery in the long run again on solar pannel selection, factors like solar efficiency because it cannot harness 100% solar energy and other factors like shading and dc losses, but its a good video with solar basic
thanks for the simple explanation sir may God bless u.i have a question for u sir,i have seen elsewhere where they when calculating for the battery size they include the d.o.d (depth of discharge) but in your calculation i didn't see it whats the logic here
Good day po. Napanood ko blog na ito. Kc interested kong Malaman ang mga Tamang computation mo. Sir hingi ako Sayo set sa rice cooker po pls. From solar, scc, battery. Pls. Tnks.
Battery capacity (draw-down) is rarely 100% of capacity. Even if using LiFePO4 - work on 80% depth of discharge - meaning you can use 80% of 250Ah - so upscale the battery by a factor
Not only DoD (depth of discharge)/SoC (state of charge) should be considered, but also: • SoH (state of health). • Inverter efficiency (DC-AC conversion). • Battery efficiency (chemical-electrical energy conversion). Irrelevant. • Temperature. • Current (due to resistive losses/Joule effect as well as Peukert’s law). Specially relevant for lead-acid batteries.
Highly appreciated I am not a professional electrician but the way you explained anyone could be able to get the correct figures
Thanks

Hi, just wondering about the voltage of the 250ah battery, is it 12v or 48v?
@@ariesbelgar9825 48Volt... generally speaking its just called a 50V battery...
I have a solar panel of 240w, Open circuit voltage of panel is 36volts.... Can we use 36volts panels for 12 v battery??
Everything crystallized in an atomic level detail.

One if the best , brief and to the point explaination of solar calculation.
This video removes all the mystery and confusion from choosing the right components for your installation. Well done and thank you very much!
In an ideal environment, this applies. Several factors such as depth of discharge, shading, daylight hours etc. I love how clear this is.
