Retroarch orange screen fix: all consoles (Powkiddy X55 and others)

Nothing worse than a flashing screen and menus not working when you can't see the text!

If you’re ever receiving this error install retroarch on your computer for navigation. Use the retroarch on your computer to navigate in the settings of retroarch. Then go to drivers and then video and navigate the right buttons to make sure you’ve selected gl as the video driver while also navigating the right buttons on the powkiddy since there’s no display.

There is a better way, on the R36s at least, dont know if its the sMe for other consoles, but......
If you go into the options menu and scroll to restore retroarch to default, it fixes it, but then you have to set up retroarch to save/load games etc again 👍🏻

Just go to setup, then open tweaks and open SOS. It will fix the problem.

I have one that has a tiny bit of this glitch. About 5% of what yours has(like is still playable). I have flashed a new sd card but it stills does it. Will do it in the menus too. Not just in game. Any ideas?.
