- Wiped out by rain and horrible weather, @baldandbankrupt and @BackpackerBen help me acquire some wet weather gear for the long journey South.
I'm surprised you found a helmet that fits. I had to go all across Saigon to find a large size helmet. I wear a fitted hat size 7 ¾.
Might I ask where you found that helmet? I hope it wasn't Saigon Motorcycles...

I hate to say this but you 3 remind me of myself and my best friend doing things like this.. best one i can tell here is when we were going down the highway and his tool bag came open...i was behind him dodging sockets and wrenches bouncing up off the highway .

I am really enjoying your Vietnam videos - and so amused that you have beaten Bald to TH-cam with your uploads. I lived in Hanoi for 10 years between 2003 and 2013 and was only able to buy clothes that fit me at a Russian shop in the Hanoi Tower building next door to the old Hanoi Hilton prison that John McCain was held in. Even I had forgotten how chilly northern Vietnam can get from December to February. Definitely need a jacket for motorbike travel. The rest of the year it’s brain-numbingly hot.

Bald had me cracking up he is a funny guy. These spur of the moment trips are usually the best trips glad to see you got some gear now just wear that coat backwards when you ride and don't forget to pull that sticker off the face shield lol. Hey finally saw a dog there I was wondering why it was not like the Philippines with them running everywhere but then again you did have a beef sandwich on the last video uummm. Tim I’m sure that you have finished your trip at this point but remember this tip for the future. I’m a large guy that rides around south east Asia often so I’ve Learned a thing or two about rain protection. Get the largest jacket and the buy a roll of plastic and make a poncho. If the poncho rips I have a roll so simply make another one. A cheap fix for us guys with keg packs.

My fiancee is same size as Cristy, she couldn't believe there was nothing in the city that fit me. Fair warning to all you big guys... bring plenty of clothing.
