I'm glad you found that insightful! I'm thinking of trying again implementing some of these tips and seeing where that gets me, so let me know if you'd be interested in seeing that.
@@ComicCrash I definitely would! I am more of a collector but I made a goal to sell a chunk of my collection to earn enough to buy a Giant Size X-Men. I sold a lot last year to buy an X-Men 94 but hadn’t sold since then. It’s really tough to get the ball rolling. After watching your video I think I’m trying to rush this and feel a sense of manufactured pressure. If I take your tip to just sell a few here, a lot or two there, it will make the process more enjoyable. I remember it being fun once I got the routine down but there is a LOT of grunt work and time that goes into trying to maximize the value
no offense but u r making it sound way harder than it is... selling comics is like selling pokemon cards almost. is all bout the grade, rarity and the significance (major event or first apperaances) of it. the hardest part of selling comics is not "selling part" (if you think taking pics of front and back cover, upload it on ebay, then put it into a bag n board and ship it in a mailer is hard then this is not the gig for u) the hardest part of selling comics is finding the comics that is " worth" to sell. (you dont want to buy a 40 dollar book when u can only sell it for 60, but if k u can find the same book for 5 to 20 bucks then you are making money.) like i can sell my ultimate fallout 4 rit now for 100 dollars (way under market value) but the problem is where to find another copy to sell. selling is not the hardest is finding the books at the right price that's the hardest.
I don't disagree. And I'm sure with practice I'll get better. Really the thing for me was a lack of options to find comics in my immediate area and the time commitments involved. At the time this was happening I was wrapping up my last semester at school and it really wasn't the best time to do a side hustle like this at this level. But I'm thinking of trying again this year. I have less of a time crunch and a better idea of what I'm doing with it now. Let me know if that's a journey you'd like to see. And thanks for the helpful comment! Edit- actually, I suppose I had just graduated. but still.
Solid points! I do find selling to be a little difficult in some ways. Sure, taking pics and post it on eBay is simple in theory but unless you have a solid routine down it can take a lot of mental energy to learn how to grade and price accurately, research each item, etc. Very true about the buy price, and keys being important to maximize the return and desirability of the book. For me, I plan to just sell what I already have; some keys and some filler books. I like the idea of only selling single books that are worth $20+ and bundling all books that are worth less on their own. That way I don’t have to deal with packing and shipping something that only makes a profit of a few dollars. It’s great to hear your opinions about selling. Thank you
I really appreciate your honest review and insight! This has been very helpful to me 🤘🏻🤙🏻

Thank you I’ll remember this if I ever decide to sell any of mine
Good deal! It's a process but it works eventually.
Another tip to add to your already awesome list is "rarity", a comic will automatically sell more if there aren't many left.
So find a bunch of comics, destroy most of them, and then yours is worth more!
Lol jk jk please treat your comics with respect.
@@ComicCrash It sounds bad, but that's a brilliant plan to be honest. LOL
