They honestly should have different Rust servers from different times. Legacy rust to now, then do a poll to see what players actually enjoy more. I, too, don't enjoy the game as much as I used to. I felt that the way XP Rust before components, etc, was way more fun, especially on modded server's. Maybe one day FP will fix what they broke, and you and most other player's can go back to enjoying the game as well as making videos for us. Best of luck, Posty. 😉👍

Servers should be able to put filters on people that can join. Like you must have 300 hrs, no previous bans, no friends with bans, etc etc

its been in the game for years and thats why i never will touch vanilla again. search your self a decent modded x1 or x2 server with some active admins who legit kick people of their server with vac bans etc etc very good very nice

As much as this is a good idea, I got a vac ban for modding my level in COD mw2 2009 to max pristige so I could unlock everything. Some people not hacking would get kicked.

used to dream about being a rust content creator, but ever since they've abandoned competitive play and actively ignore core issues I've never been more glad to not be forced to play this game to survive. it was a truly fun game, ruined by voices that were not even in the community. Hjune was one of the first Rust creators i have watched but he lost his credibility to me personally by just staying silent (like many creators tho) and even "hyped" this update and changes till the point now when the games is nearly unplayable - just an ass-kisser of Facepunch who prioritized to keep his clean sheets and the good standing to Facepunch and all those newgens which infested the game.
The funniest thing iš that shroud, summit and other creators that DON’T play the game were complaining about the recoil. I would rather fight a scripter than 10 grids of esp/roofcamping full of russian braindeads.
@@F4LLENZ3R0 I really never seen scripters as much of that big problem Facepunch and everyone made out of it- sure it sucked when you got killed by one but in 80% of time a good player won his fights against them because they were just braindead bots with 0 gamesense, movement, aim and tracking ability - if you had a decent spray yourself it was even easier (i could easily spray 150 m myself but had the better movement, experience and tracking).
I just feel like scripters were the "lesser evils" in comparison to the ESPers and aimboters in the current state - in terms of numbers, bann ability (humanized anitcheat) but also as a player to handle them.
@@N3ON1993į played like 2k plus hours and 30% of that was ukn before the combat update and I could hard win fights if positioned well and I agree with you I hardly saw scripters, I saw less cheaters in general. I didn’t see a cheater for my first 500 hours and now it’s mostly every wipe.
i quit rust months ago after 9k hours. the games done. use to be amazing but those days are long gone and its fucking dog shit now.
This is why i have stopped playing in general. my first 5k hours was great. Now there is a cheater and a roofcamper in every corner of every server.
Try RustForNoobs Trio(it's not it's a good mix), not killed by a cheater in 2 wipes.
@@RZPPAAI reported a cheater trio on that server and when the admin banned the trio he didn't delete their huge HQM base. He told us to raid it. We had bows. They later came back on different accounts and used the loot inside the base again before getting banned again. Hope they got better admins in the meantime.

@@RZPPAA they have admins that do like 50% of the work that admins should be doing. They do the ban work but don't do the follow up work. They ban the cheater but not his friends. They ban the cheater but don't delete the base etc etc etc.
@@beertlont776 Righto! I only had 1 problem on that server, a trio were teaming with a duo, took admins 6 hours to sort it out then all they did was 'talk to them'.
Considering the amount of cheating on Rustopia/Rustafied/Reddit/FP etc I find there's a lot less though on RFN.
90% of the playerbase now are 13 years olds.

What we really need is Facepunch banning Russia and China from playing the game, 80% of the cheaters are from there.
The more complaining the bigger streamers/youtubers do, the bigger the chance to get this game changed to what it used to be before. I don t particularly like you or your videos posty but i can t help but respect you for trying to change something.

The thing with cheaters im rust and also to some extent tarkov, it doesnt matter if they get banned, you already lost all your hours worth of progress and might not return to game...unlike in competitive shooters you lost a match to cheater no big deal, you get elo back when they get banned

One game cheaters killed was 'The Division '. It was game of the year when launched and so many people played it but it went downhil very fast. All because of cheaters.
as a solo with 11k hours i can confidently say almost 50% of the player base is cheaters that havnt been caught the other half is roof campers that havnt been raided yet

I got a video recommended on my youtube feed the other day selling rust cheats. They had videos on servers like war bandits where comomo admins. Seems like it's unstoppable. You can't even report the videos to youtube because there is nothing in their community policy about being able to report channels promoting malicious software.
The servers that Comomo is the admin of have the most cheaters. Cheaters come to either be in Comomo's videos or show that Comomo is a bad admin.
I showed some examples of those videos in a ticket on the Facepunch website to the admin and told them that if necessary, I can prepare them for you to reverse engineer and see where the problem is, idiots.😂

Back in my half life and cs 1.6 days you were banned by ip. I don't think it's impossible to be banned by ip or mac address to stop the cheaters. But why would the devs deny all the copies being sold.
Spoof your ip. Plus your isp gives you multiple IP addresses. The game does ban by Hardware but still takes admins time. Plus the devs told us don't worry cheating will stop when kids went back to school lmao.
@@duanebailey6253 You have a good point though not all isp are the same. No one is going to admin for free(facepunch servers) and the other servers there are not as many dedicated admins. I've personally stopped playing after 3.5k hours(3k hours solo) when the tugboat was released. I still enjoy watching content but I could never play the game.
You are so clueless, you can use vpn any time, you can change youre hardware id you can do everything if you have money bro, there is so many cheaters because there is no pvp skill gap, everyone wants to be better then the other.
I only play solo or solo/duo or solo/duo/trio servers often with 2x. It saves so much time and is usually hardly controlled by Admins to check and almost instantly ban cheaters. I almost never played official servers and have almost 2k hours in this game :D on the modded servers like mine the game is still awesome and almost the same as a few years ago.
Can you name these servers
Usually bestrust, willjum, limitless and some others. Just search for duo or trio in modded servers. But not the Russian ones.

18:18 lucky i did uninstall this joke game right after the new recoil system came in.I knew the game will be swarmed with cheaters eventually.After like 8 years with rust all the memories all the fun times from the beginning till that day never be forgetten.But since then the game is going downhill badly.The only reason rust is still in top 10 daily player count cuz all the new players.But from playable prespective and fun this game shouldnt be in the top 100 even.

Not really i would say almost same amount like in CS2. Like 1/3 rd of rust players are cheating or even more.
I can't tell you how sad it is to see Rust in its current state. At some point, even the last player who loves a good, hard and above all skill-based PVP and who has put time, heart, blood and dedication into the game will turn his back on it. When I see big groups and zergs most of the time, I could just puke - toxic, mostly bad players but still feel superior even though they just have numbers but not a hint of skill or gamesense are found.... it is just plane numbers and time put in by all those bots which matters nowadays and can't be compensated by the skill and dedication of someone/a team who is clearly more skillfull and better but has far less players - and such idiots got and still being catered by Facepunch so that solos or small groups even if they are a lot far more skillfull, still have a low chance because the PVP/recoil/progression has become way too easy and the game too unbalanced.
All i had in terms of PVP the last couple wipes were groups camping on their roof or 1 grid around their base and just getting offlined over and over because they are even to scared to raid a solo/duo when having 6+ players online.... even on Vital (can't force me after work/sports/etc. anymore to grind on vanilla to get killed by cheaters with 15 h or offlined by the chinese/russian bot zergs) i couldn't get a fcking online raid or barely good PVP because also on a fcking 10x noone is/was roaming.
It wasn't the hard recoil/learning curve or the scripters that ruined the game - it was Facepunch themselves who sold the core and the soul of the game to casuals for money and publicity and with the RNG effect also offered hackers even more possibilities (humanized anticheat is almost ineffective and EAC simply incapable). I never have seen so much blantant hackers in my years of playing starting in early 2014.
After almost 10 years I have now turned my back on the game - thanks Posty for your content, which nevertheless always remains interesting and something special thanks to your own "malding" but funny personality - I hope that you can continue to generate somehow here and there a little fun and enjoyment from the game - my own Chapter of Rust is now history.

I dont think the recoil change is to blame for the current state of Rust. I think the tech tree is the biggest thing that needs to change.
Its too easy to progress and once u have bps u can just craft everything u need, no need to pvp honestly.
Also it doesn’t help that most servers, including many official servers dont wipe bps anymore.
These servers that dont wipe bps are simply unplayable.
The recoil change does allow for cheaters to not be easily detected but imo something needed to be done about getting scripted by ak at 150 meters all the time. Scripters were a genuine problem and with old recoil it was impossible to beat them.

The tech tree was the beginning of the "downfall" of Rust and the following updates forced the game more and more into the current state highlighting with the PVP/recoil update in 2022 which dimished some of the last bits of a hard, skill-depending and most of all fun PVP and game experience. The progression is just to fast and the aspect that every bot with 10 hours now can pick up a gun by scratch and shoot you in the back just kills the whole game experience and balance. The worst part isn't even the low skill dependency of the recoil but also the annoying "crouch meta" and most of all the RNG in this PVP system - such a gunplay isn't suitable for a "survival" game like Rust in which you can lose an hour of farm or your best kit just because your opponent who is maybe even far worse than you got the luckiest aimcone and you got fucked over by it. The game is overall to "easy" so that the personal skill isn't as rewarding anymore as it should be - just farm scrap like a nobrain and techtree to your items, sit 24/7 on your roof and you are the common Rust player in 2024.
I agree that scripters were a problem back on old recoil but did this change just solve anything? There were scripts out 10 min after the update was live on staging and it shifted only the scripters to use now "hard cheats" like softaim and ESP - which is so overpowered nowadays because of this easy recoil therefore making it even harder to bann cheaters (not that obvious cheaters will get banned fast by EAC lol...). But for real - who thinks Facepunch released this update to fight the scripting problem is just gullible - they saw the opportunity to make the game accessable to the sheer amount of casual player which influxed due to the big streamers of OTV and sold their game out by knowing that a lot of old players which were loyal to the game for many years hated it - they just didn't care and will never care about the players opinion when it isn't in their favour and doesn't match theirs.
@@N3ON1993 even back with the old recoil i never personally had a big issue with scripters, you could put the time in old ak/mp5 and absolutely beam with it even harder than you can now. they just shattered the skill floor by making it really easy to pick up compared to back then. ESPers and Aimbots are the real issue tho
sniper rifles and scopes need to be removed from the game completely. I would also get rid of auto turrets and NVGs completely. Then make it so only pistol ammo weapons can use silencer.
After 10K hours I finally quit Rust, been playing Hell Divers 2 and I almost forgot what it was like to have fun in a video game lmao

@@noooone3370 Such comments most of the time come from someone who has low hours and isn't good at the game himself or thinks he is good because he finally can hit a shot after the point and click recoil. The game is dull and just completely dead for someone who likes a hard and skill rewarding PVP - i win 90% of my direct fights but yeah who cares - it is just nothing special anymore to kill someone because everyone can do it and you will never get the adrenaline after killing 3 or 4 players by just outsmarting and outaiming them due to your dedication and the hours you spent to improve yourself.

Idk if it’s just me but lately I can’t even pvp and when I do I just get shot from a bush or from behind after I win a fight or if I’m roaming I instantly die to like a said bush or from the back no time to react nothing I feel like recoil is too easy to control right now and everyone is hitting every shot the current state of rust is who sees who first and gets the first shot off honestly

They should just implement an anti cheat software like vanguard from riot. Yeah it’s not that great that it’s deep into the players bios. But when this is the only solution to decrease the amount of cheater i am willing to give it a shot.
The motivation to cheat is just so go damn huge for so many losers out there in rust Compared to other games, cause you can gain so much shit. The devs just have to realize that eac is just loosing the war against chat-devs in so many ways
I uninstalled this week. The Cheating has spread like a plague. They won't ban IP's, you can't sue the cheaters cus half of them are minors, and even some of the developers themselves are selling the cheats. Never going to get fixed. Rust is dead. R.I.P.

The anticheat is working as intended. Effective anticheat= Less income.
That's not the case. Developers could hire good IT programmers to create much better anticheat, but they just simply dont wanna pay them and save money to themselfs
