The Amon clan probably changed their policy after losing Jo, the strongest Amon and then Yagami proceeded to remove Shin and Juzo from the clan as well All are Amon's most elites Jo did say in the past games that losing for the clan means extreme dishonor and must face death, but apparently both Jo and Shin dodged that but decided to train harder and take revenge instead I supposed that after the clan realized how faulty that rule was, they decided to remove it Hence Gai Amon was not as powerful or dangerous since he wasn't on the same level as the other 3 and he only asked for Kiryu/Joryu's name to record it and report to the clan instead of holding a personal grudge like Jo and Shin did
This amon just pulled a tiger drop on kiryu. If that alone coming from an amon's hand could not beat the dragon then what could. Which takes us to 7's little alliance between shin amon and kiryu.
It feels like post Yakuza 6 the Amons have soften up by quite a bit. Like they are still battle maniac assholes but they no longer gunning to kill people to be the best
And confirmed my thought that Jo actually retired after Y6 being Shin takimg care of, then Juzo in LJ and I wondered if there was another or fight Juzo again
However there's a flaw, in Fist of the North Star Lost Paradise, is uncanon the RGG cameo characters such as Jo, Komaki, even Kiryu. However in YK2 you can see a detail about few gray hair inside his haircut, that doesn't seem in Y6, so is more probably that Jo retired.
Ive also said this plenty times but my personal headcanon is that FOTNS is a Videogame but Komaki Sensei and Jo lended their voices becuz they are fans of the series (and the likeness of the respected characters they voice too)
The hack to beat this guy is to wish for eternal life after you get the 7 golden balls. Once you have 99x nourishment of the sea king and are ready to face Amon, keep refilling your heat to use heat mode but keep an eye on which style Amon is using because after a while he will switch to yakuza mode (meaning you will have to too) otherwise agent style won’t damage him. Good luck!
If you got the cash, you can try to get the golden underwear from the castle boutique. It boosts Kiryu's attack to an absurd degree that he becomes The Man Who Erases Health Bars. It really does help in both Amon fights.
I find it much easier in the first phase if you just use extreme heat agent style counter. Going brute force is really annoying because your combo will always get interrupt. If you're a pro at Tiger Drop then I guess it would have been much easier I guess, but just not me :(.
Bit bummed out that it reuses 7's Amon theme, although knowing the context behind its development I wouldn't be surprised if they wanted to hold off the new theme for Infinite Wealth (No, I'm not checking the leaked OST thanks).

You know what I just thought about? In 8 Inifinte Wealth, probably Kiryu still being alive would be revealed to the world (according to the trailer). That means Jo Amon would probably come after Kiryu first chance he gets. And then this guy, Gai Amon, because he wants a rematch against Joryu, now revealed to be Kiryu. And then Shin Amon, because he wants a rematch against Ichiban and friends. In other words, what are the chances we need to fight mulitiple people from the Amon Clan as a final challenge
took around 30/40 minutes to beat this Amon. At first I couldn’t understand how to take down his drones, but when you understand how to do it, it gets pretty “easy”. Just go full on Yakuza mode, some tiger drops and heat action and he’s done for.

Its 13 hours which above average in gaming industry.. plus if we play all the side content it reaches like 30 hours and this fight doesnt even happen till 20 hours of ingame time! Plus i find it good that they kept it tight thats y it made me do even for stuffs den i usually do in Yakuza games before! Although i have put 105 in 0 and 100 hours in Yakuza 7 but i really wanted those to end but jst grinded
1st phase summon Extreme Heat Drones to counter his healing. After that I just switched to Yakuza mode and used LB block counters to chip him down (whilst spamming heals when needed). When he empowers, just use normal Yakuza mode and heat finisher him once or twice. Easy win
You can start the fight with one bar of Heat and go extreme heat Agent style. Hold down the drone button to summon an assload of drones and they'll destroy his drones for you. Save your heat items for his second phase.
So I guess Jo really died in Lost Paradise. (Unless he show up on Infinite Wealth) Also. A bit disappointed that they didn't remixed Fiercest Warrior and reused the 7 version. Edit: Well. Amon is alive then
Jo probably didn't show up because the clan think this is a new guy called Joryu. I don't think Tetsu or Gai caught on that this is their clan head's eternal rival, since they never call Kiryu by his real name once.
It probably wont be his last. Maybe in 8 Kiryu and Ichi will fight Jo and Shin.(Again Tho without the animosity only a friendly sparring match that could kill Kiryu and Ichi if they are not OP yet)
I beat him before he could summon the drones, I'm not joking, I equipped all the best attack boosting equipment, went into extreme heat mode and just quickly used heat actions one after another on him, he died in 4 heat actions.

I already beat him, but reloaded the save to fight him again because i got curious from your comment. Turn out this is indeed doable and much faster than fighting him the traditional way. But with how limited heat action choices in this game is, you probably have to buy heat actions like Ultimate Essence, Daidoji Defense Break, Essence of Face Stomp etc to have enough variety to do this, because his diminishing return on heat action kick in fast. Probably help to intentionally lower your health into danger zone with street thugs and equip the item/skill that boost near death damage too.
i was on my like tenth attempt and when i got him to phase 2 i used essence of the dragon god, didnt realise i was at low health and he died instantly 😭
I got immensely lucky here... I chipped damaged him with drones and using them to get closer to him. He got to the red heat phase and i sort of panicked on what to do since he was constantly healing. Then i decided to go ham with extreme heat yakuza style and decimated his entire health bar with the heat action. Maybe its because i had max upgrades and i was on standard but still, i didnt expect that heat action to kill him from his blue health bar.
You can spam spider string and keep stunning him to bully him Also maxing out damage and delete him is the best way after he turns 2nd phase, that healing is just annoying instead of a good fight
Compared to the recent Amons, this was by far one of the easiest. He had like 3 easy ass gimmicks: Drone Heal, Tiger Drop Bait, and The Explosion thing which u could literally just dodge

I think he only regens health when the drones make a heart above him, if you interrupt it with your drones it stops it I think or if he hits you in yakuza stance.
I just reached the Amon fight and mine was infinitely regenerating his HP but yours is not, is it because I was playing on Normal difficulty? I came to this video just to see how others beat the regeneration but I don't see it on yours.

6:43 well after seeing amon doing the full Rush combo (square, square, square, square, triangle or for xbox X + X + X + X + 6) now I think that after games like judgement and lost judgement hapenned, we deserved to get og DOD style, because why for example kaito has brawler and beast full moves but kiryu has that "wtf" DOD (I like it, but I preffer og)
Man at this point i pretty much maxed out all of my skills, had the best gear i can get, and became a war god. i admit he whooped my ass in the beginning. Used up about 10 meds. But then after about 3 full health bar down, i caught him with that heat action with the QTE attacks and absolutely demolished him. Bois i recommend u if u were in my shoe, maxed out before fighting the final boss, i suggest u take off all ur gears otherwise u will absolutely murder the final boss within a punch. I made a good decision there for the final boss to put up a bit more fight to make the game more enjoyable
The prize you get from this... I'd almost recommend not beating him because it trivializes the rest of the game. I beat him in Chapter 4. Idk how many are left but uh...the reward makes literally every other fight a joke.
This was the most annoying boss fight ever because of his health regenerating but i'm glad to say I was able to beat him on my 3rd try and achieved the Platinum.
Is it me or every amon after the last Jo amon fight in 6 acts more mature and less obsessively than him? I mean, Gai literally just wanted a good fight because he didn't found any reason to still alive, while Jo wanted to defeat kiryu out of spite and revenge

I think he only heals when he hits you. You gotta learn to dodge, tiger drop, or spam heat actions. I won by stocking up on heat-recovering items and spamming Agent's extreme heat mode where it slows down when you dodge an enemy, allowing you to land some hits to punish them.
@@GamingFreakShow1991 I don't mind it as a feature but when it's included WITH a regenerating health bar that you need to nuke without taking damage that's when it's too far. If you don't hit 2 or 3 unique ones at the end you have to restart an extremely boring fight where you walk around in circles summoning drones to try again or try your luck hitting 5 to 6 tiger drops in a row without being hit.

The war god amulet is absolutely crazy to play with. It makes the game so fun and easy
Spamming Yakuza heat actions shreds bosses and makes the arena mode way easier to grind

Why is the health not regenerating?
I think he only regens health when the drones make a heart above him, if you interrupt it with your drones it stops it I think or if he hits you in yakuza stance.
I just reached the Amon fight and mine was infinitely regenerating his HP but yours is not, is it because I was playing on Normal difficulty? I came to this video just to see how others beat the regeneration but I don't see it on yours.
His drones heal him, you have to send in your own drones to stop him from healing
@@Lappullehits not his drone that heal him. By the time he has regeneration he is on the red style and everytime you get hit by him he regenerate
@@iwishicanluciddreamstoesca4049 at the beginning of the fight he has regeneration from the drones, maybe you just beat him with an overpowered Kiryu so you didn’t see it

@@Lappulleh well this makes sense, I wish it was explained at any point. I only sent in a few drones at first at the start, I was trying to avoid using Agent since I thought the drones would ruin my fun only to find out they are mandatory 😅

6:43 well after seeing amon doing the full Rush combo (square, square, square, square, triangle or for xbox X + X + X + X + 6) now I think that after games like judgement and lost judgement hapenned, we deserved to get og DOD style, because why for example kaito has brawler and beast full moves but kiryu has that "wtf" DOD (I like it, but I preffer og)

Man at this point i pretty much maxed out all of my skills, had the best gear i can get, and became a war god. i admit he whooped my ass in the beginning. Used up about 10 meds. But then after about 3 full health bar down, i caught him with that heat action with the QTE attacks and absolutely demolished him. Bois i recommend u if u were in my shoe, maxed out before fighting the final boss, i suggest u take off all ur gears otherwise u will absolutely murder the final boss within a punch. I made a good decision there for the final boss to put up a bit more fight to make the game more enjoyable
How he doesn't heal at the end ? I had to staggered him and absolutely combo his ass to destroy him at the end

Defeated it using only Tiger Drop.
The prize you get from this... I'd almost recommend not beating him because it trivializes the rest of the game.
I beat him in Chapter 4. Idk how many are left but uh...the reward makes literally every other fight a joke.
Tbf if you can beat amon, you can beat every other enemy in the game anyways. Its a superboss for a reason
This was the most annoying boss fight ever because of his health regenerating but i'm glad to say I was able to beat him on my 3rd try and achieved the Platinum.

Go ex boost with agent style and hold Y/triangle to spawn your own drones that should get rid of his.

I think he only heals when he hits you. You gotta learn to dodge, tiger drop, or spam heat actions. I won by stocking up on heat-recovering items and spamming Agent's extreme heat mode where it slows down when you dodge an enemy, allowing you to land some hits to punish them.

This fight sucks so much because of that healing section and his res to repeated heat actions. Actually awful
The repeated heat action resistance is just the system going back to its roots.
@@GamingFreakShow1991 I don't mind it as a feature but when it's included WITH a regenerating health bar that you need to nuke without taking damage that's when it's too far.
If you don't hit 2 or 3 unique ones at the end you have to restart an extremely boring fight where you walk around in circles summoning drones to try again or try your luck hitting 5 to 6 tiger drops in a row without being hit.
